So Katy needed to sell 27k more than LMFAO to be ahead of them. So, she's actually really close to #1. She should end up at #2 or #3 this week! She needed 74k to get ahead of Adele, and 56k to get ahead of Pitbull, which I think she did for Pitbull, but not so sure if she can pass Adele this week. Next week... #1 looks so close! :'( i think her label is gonna wait one more week until she closes the gap with PRA some more, and then releases the remixes. She is gaining a good 1M+ on them each day. Maybe even 2 weeks. Then for sure she'd be over 100M AI.

Over on the Digital Songs chart, LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" (featuring Lauren Bennett & GoonRock) ascends to No. 1 for the first time (rising two spots with 258,000; up 22%), bumping Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" down to No. 2 (206,000; down 9%). The top debuts on Digital Songs this week belong to "The Voice" winner and runner-up Javier Colon and Dia Frampton, respectively, whose singles "Stitch by Stitch" and "Inventing Shadows" arrive at Nos. 6 and 7 (145,000 and 137,000). Colon also debuts at No. 24 with his "Man in the Mirror" duet with his "Voice" coach Adam Levine (75,000). Frampton concurrently makes her mark with a second debut, at No. 33: her "I Won't Back Down" collaboration with her coach, Blake Shelton (62,000). Frampton also falls 61-67 with "Heartless" (32,000; up less than 1%), and "Losing My Religion" (28-69 with just under 32,000; down 52%). Fourth place contestant Beverly McClellan's duet with her coach Christina Aguilera on the latter's own hit "Beautiful" debuts at No. 52 (42,000). One rung lower, third place finisher Vicci Martinez's "Afraid to Sleep" arrives (39,000). Her duet with coach Cee Lo Green on "Love is a Battlefield" misses the 75-position chart, but sold 25,000 downloads. Pitbull's "Give Me Everything" (featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack & Nayer), rises 4-3 (192,000; up 2%), Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" rises 6-4 (169,000; up less than 1%), Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" is steady at No. 5 (152,000; down 11%) and Lil Wayne's "How to Love" climbs 10-8 (128,000; down 1%). Rounding out the top 10 are Hot Chelle Rae's "Tonight Tonight," which holds at No. 9 (a little under 128,000; down 7%) and Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem," which falls two spots to No. 10 (127,000; down 10%). Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending July 3) totaled 6.34 million units, up 7% compared to the sum last week (5.92 million) and up 14% compared to the comparable sales week of 2010 (5.54 million). Year to date album sales stand at 155.46 million, up 1% compared to the same total at this point last year (153.96 million). It is the sixth week in a row where year-to-date album volume is greater than the same time in the prior year. Digital track sales this past week totaled 25.45 million downloads, up 1% compared to last week (25.29 million) and up 18% stacked next to the comparable week of 2010 (21.48 million). Year to date track sales are at 660.80 million, up 11% compared to the same total at this point last year (597.44 million). www.billboard.com/#/news/beyonce-s-notches-4th-billboard-200-no-1-1005264652.story=== Party Rock Anthem : 113 + 258 = 371 Give Me Everything Tonight : 141 + 192 = 333 Rolling In The Deep : 160 + 152 = 312 Katy Perry : 85 + 206 = 291 Super Bass : 93 + 169 = 262 Edge Of Glory : 101 + 120? = 221 How To Love : 61 + 128 = 189 E.T. 101 + 80? = 181 Tonight Tonight : 43 + 128 = 171

^Definitely- and it's probably better than Pitbull's single, which makes it reaching No. 1 even nicer. Also, variety at the top is good. I liked that little turnover streak the chart had not too long ago.

I think that LMFAO record is really generic and unexciting, I like Pitbull's song more because of Ne-Yo's hook, but yes a good turnover rate once in awhile is nice. I imagine it will have a second week at #1 and then Katy will take over

www.billboard.com/news#/news/lmfao-brings-the-party-to-top-of-hot-100-1005264912.storyLMFAO Brings the 'Party' to Top of Hot 100by Gary Trust, N.Y. | July 06, 2011 LMFAO leaps to its first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, to be released tomorrow (July 7) on Billboard.com, as "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock, lifts 3-1 with Digital Gainer honors. Original songs and covers by contestants from NBC's "The Voice" also make notable Hot 100 news. "Party" powers by 22% in digital sales to 258,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan, likewise rising 3-1 on Digital Songs. On Radio Songs, the track bumps 4-3 with a 13% gain to 115 million in all-format audience, according to Nielsen BDS. Twosome LMFAO is the first duo or group to top the Hot 100 since Far*East Movement spent the last of three weeks at No. 1 with "Like a G6," featuring Cataracs & Dev, on the Nov. 27, 2010, chart. The last prior duo to lead the Hot 100? OutKast, which reigned back-to-back with "Hey Ya!" (nine weeks) and "The Way You Move," featuring Sleepy Brown (one), in 2003-04. LMFAO's Hot 100 coronation also brings a musically-rich bloodline to the chart's apex, as the dance/pop/hip-hop duo consists of DJs Redfoo and SkyBlu, aka Stefan Gordy and Skyler Gordy, the son and grandson, respectively, of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy. (By reaching No. 1, Stefan claims bragging rights over his older brother (by 11 years), Kennedy. The latter singer - billed as Rockwell - peaked at No. 2 with "Somebody's Watching Me," in 1984). English singer Bennett and Los Angeles producer GoonRock also each enjoy their first trip to the top of the Hot 100. "Party" bumps Pitbull's "Give Me Everything," featuring Ne-Yo, AfroJack and Nayer, to No. 2 after it had ascended 2-1 on last week's Hot 100. The song retains its bullet despite its drop in position, as it gains by 2% in airplay to 150 million (holding 2-2 on Radio Songs) and 2% in download sales to 192,000 (4-3 on Digital Songs). Adele's former seven-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Rolling in the Deep" dips 2-3, while Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" spends a third week at No. 4, claiming the Hot 100's Airplay Gainer award for a second consecutive week. On Radio Songs, the track blasts 11-8 (84 million, up 34%) in its fourth frame, marking the second-fastest climb to the top 10 this year, after Britney Spears' three-week sprint with "Hold It Against Me." "Friday" cedes the top spot on Digital Songs (1-2) to "Party" after two weeks at No. 1, logging a 9% decrease to 206,000 downloads sold. The next three songs on the Hot 100 maintain their rankings from last week: Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" (5-5), Lady Gaga's "The Edge of Glory" (6-6) and Perry's former five-week topper "E.T," featuring Kanye West (7-7). Lil Wayne lifts 10-8 on the Hot 100 with "How to Love." The song surges 17-13 on Radio Songs (58 million, up 14%) and, while it rises 10-8 on Digital Songs, it registers a 1% decrease to 128,000 downloads sold. As LMFAO returns a duo to the Hot 100's apex, two groups enter the top 10. OneRepublic's "Good Life" charges 18-9 after frontman Ryan Tedder sang the song with finalist Beverly McClellan on last Wednesday's (June 29) first-season finale of "The Voice." The song, OneRepublic's second Hot 100 top 10, following its No. 2 turn as a featured act on Timbaland's "Apologize" in 2007, bounds 17-12 on Digital Songs (111,000, up 22%) and 18-12 on Radio Songs (59 million, up 20%). Hot Chelle Rae likewise reaches the Hot 100's top bracket, as its first chart entry, "Tonight Tonight," jumps 13-10, driven by a No. 9 ranking on Digital Songs (128,000, down 7%) and a 34-26 advance on Radio Songs (40 million, up 15%). The Nashville quartet, which includes Nash Overstreet, the brother of now-former "Glee" regular Chord Overstreet and son of Paul Overstreet, who charted nine top 10s on Billboard's Country Songs chart in 1988-91, is the first group to send its maiden Hot 100 entry to the top 10 since Far*East Movement. (Unlike the Gordy brothers, Nash doesn't best the highest Hot 100 rank of a sibling who previously inhabited the top 10; the "Glee" cast's "Loser Like Me," on which Chord sang, debuted and peaked at No. 6 in April). Outside the Hot 100's top 10, original songs from "The Voice" inaugural champion and runner-up roar into the top 20. Victor Javier Colon's "Stitch by Stitch" sews up a No. 17 start as the chart's Hot Shot Debut and Dia Frampton's "Inventing Shadows" begins at No. 20. The cuts storm Digital Songs at Nos. 6 and 7 with 145,000 and 137,000, respectively. Four more of the chart's 12 debuts this week are "Voice" souvenirs: Adam Levine and Colon's version of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror" (No. 45); Blake Shelton and Frampton's take on Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down" (No. 57); Christina Aguilera and McClellan's rendition of the former's "Beautiful" (No. 74); and, Vicci Martinez's original "Afraid to Sleep" (No. 78). Among other new Hot 100 entries, Coldplay debuts two tracks: "Moving to Mars" (No. 90) and "Major Minus" (No. 92). The songs appear on the three-track EP "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall," the title cut of which rebounds 61-54. All charts, including the Hot 100, Digital Songs and Radio Songs, will be refreshed tomorrow on Billboard.com.

Not surprisingly, just two of Voice tracks hit the top 40.
I didn't realize that Hot Chelle Rae was a country act- I had not paid much attention to it prior to now. Maybe it's time to investigate.

Fantastic to see two guitar based acts in top 10: OneRepublic and Hot Chelle Rae. They are not really rock but they are more rock than the only top ten hit by a poprock act last year, Train's "Hey Soul Sister".

Is it really Coldplay and Viva La Vida from 3 years ago?

Viva la Vida perhaps
EDIT: you got it first
But yea I think it's that.
Last week there was also Maroon 5 in top 10 who had a number one in 2007 with Makes Me Wonder.

I was thinkin Party Rock would peak somewhere in the top 20 (maybe) but just on sales-not doing anything on US radio. Oh, and i predict Katy will get that next #1- if not next week, the week after

Hm? Didn't BTW debut Top 10? Yes. It didn't have to climb positions to ge there there, though -- that's what Billboard means, I think.

^I also believe that's what Billboard meant- "fastest climb," as it says. Heartbreak- I read that that group was from Nashville, so I may have jumped the gun thinking it it was country.

a third week at #4 for TGIF... it must be frustrating, but i'm sure they know what they're doing to get that #1 though I think that they are waiting for the audience to get closer to 100M. Keep in mind Pitbull and Adele are on the decline and once they drop it will be a quick jump to #2...she just has to wait longer.

^^ I hear you. But realistically, it's going to happen. I don't see LMFAO keeping it at bay.

Katy Perry's new single's airplay is gaining fast, she will more than definitly go higher than #4 as early as next wekk's chart.

The only thing that could stop KP is if - in the next week or two - LMFAO suddenly becomes a ubiquitous summer dance smash a la the Macarena or Whoomp!
I know none of us expected Los Del Rio to spend 14 weeks at number one when it first reached the top.

Well, LMFAO did spend 10 weeks or more at number one in Australia with this single, so yeah that remains an option. We'll see.
