Marshall Bruce Mathers III is this close to snatching that No. 1 from Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (if he hasn't already).

Less than .1% between them. If there is a clean version it's probably already closed the gap.

^They both have two versions. "Roar" probably will get back to No. 1, though, later in the week.

On a whim, Fred Stobaugh entered a singer-songwriter contest at his native Illinois’ Green Shoe Studio, submitting a heartwarming song that he wrote for his late wife, who passed away last April.
While his song, “Oh Sweet Lorraine,” didn’t meet the criteria of the contest, the studio offered Fred something better than a winning title. They professionally recorded the song for free, making this 96-year-old songwriting newbie an official recording artist.

Seems that VMA's didn't help Blurred Lines, almost the opposite. It actually helped his current single Give It 2 U. It's now at it's highest peak in the Top 20.

I'm actually surprised Give It 2 U isn't higher.
Wondering how long Berzerk will stick around at #1 for?

All the songs performed at the VMAs are painted in red. So can we definitely say it is a 48-hour "rolling" period?

Did Green Shoe Studio really need to put their name as the artist and relegate Fred Stobaugh to featured artist status though? Hopefully he'll still become the oldest person ever to make the Hot 100.

I thought we already established this in the Applause thread? Did you? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to check it out. But anyway, I didn't understand what you meant lol Isn't it impossible for a song to lose popularity before the 48 hour period? Look at Eminem's "Berzerk" on Kworb right now. It apparently follows this thread.

Does anyone have that website that has a list of all the songs that have hit #1 on iTunes? I saw it on here once but forgot to save it.

Is the top singles/albums broken for anyone else? It works fine in Pop but not all genre. Not even the top 10 on the main page show up, so I had to go to pop top singles and change the genre from there.

Never mind - Fred wasn't the singer on the song, so that makes sense. It's even a generous move to credit Fred as featured (but it's deserved). He has made at least one Billboard chart: Rock Digital Songs (#49). www.billboard.com/articles/news/5679743/fred-stobaugh-96-charts-with-viral-hit-lorraine

Luke Bryan is about to get back into the top 10 of iTunes! How many country songs that aren't Taylor Swift have done this well digitally? Not many I'd bet.

It changed to www.itunescharts.net/ like 2 years ago Oh thanks I couldn't remember the link, so I went searching through old threads and finally found it in the Your Body thread. So I don't think it was 2 years, maybe 6-9 months.
