Wayne is not doing more than 600k at the very most. LOL!! He will do 1 million most likely. He has a monster hit on CHR right now and by the time the album comes out, it will be Top 5 or better. He has 10 songs in regular rotation on R&B/Rap radio right now, including 3 in the top 10. His other albums released in the past year when he was in jail and had almost 0 promotion has scanned 930,000 units. His recent mixtape took over Twitter and was downloaded for free hundreds of thousands of times. Haters to the left!!! =) weezy is my BABY 4 LIFE!

No one is hating. I just don't see him selling a million. 600k is my prediction. I could easily be wrong. So could you. So take your stanning to the left.

No one's hating. It's just gonna be hard to recreate that kind of crazy sales. Don't forget Lollipop was a mega hit and a huge event. With How to Love I don't think it's of the same magnitude. I'll be happy for him to top a milli, but I don't think he will.

Adele goes back to #1 next week for her 12th non-consecutive week at the top, surpassing Taylor Swift's Fearless for the most weeks at #1 since at least 2000. In fact, the last album to log 12 weeks at #1 was Santana's Supernatural in 1999. If the current ranking holds as projected, Adele's distributor, Sony Music, will score six titles in the Top 10. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
Adele (XL/Columbia) 75-80k Eric Church (Capitol Nashville/EMI) 60-65k *Mat Kearney (Universal Republic) 40-45k Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) 40-45k *Trace Adkins (Show Dog) 40-45k *Victorious cast (Nickelodeon/Columbia) 40-45k Kidz Bop Kids (Razor & Tie) 40-45k Beyonce (Columbia) 35-40k Lady Gaga (Interscope) 27-30k *O.A.R. (Wind-up) 24-27k Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 24-27k Bad Meets Evil (Shady/Interscope) 24-27k Kelly Rowland (Universal Republic) 21-24k Selena Gomez & the Scene (Hollywood) 21-24k Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 18-21k *Greyson Chance (Geffen) 18-21k

Congrats Adele! I hope the sales will be in the 80k range. Some may find her album dominance annoying but it's not her fault the other albums are not holding up that well or that there's no new release that could challenge her

Awesome to see Mumford hold in (possibly thanks to VMA noms), especially since the album cycle is basically ready to be finished. Not too long they'll be on to album #2, and this third radio single isn't doing a whole lot, and not likely to quite match the first two.

Jason and Adele's consistency are terrific
And I agree with forg, don't blame Adele for her strong sales. Blame the fact that no new album could even shift in the six figures to challenge her.

Stefani Gaga had some promo this week, didn't she? I think she appeared on The View, at the least.

SYTYCD was last week, no? Though it's possible some effect spilled over some into this week. I think she was on Kimmel within the last week or so, too. She also has an interview with Jean Paul Gaultier airing on the CW within the next weeks.

Selena holding on to the top 15 with absolutely no promo since the album's release, no single on radio and just an $11.99 sale (which isn't really good) at Target.

Wow, Adele is killing it. I mean, 12 weeks and she still has the VMAs, holiday sales, and the Grammys? I can see her easily passing 20 weeks at #1.

Nah, she can get perhaps 3-5 weeks after this week, probably two later this year and same after the Grammys, depending on the release schedule.
It's not going to have another week at number one after this in August and aren't RHCP releasing same week as the VMA's are held?

Lil Wayne will most likely open with 750-800k. But i won't rule out the possibility to sell 1 million for him.

Can't wait for Adele's reign of terror to end. She's amazing, but GOD is this getting boring. No. I want Adele to be #1 until the end of time.

Tha Carter III barely cracked 1 million with bigger hits than the current album Thank you. Also, "HTL" will have already peaked 24 days from now, and, let's face it., "HTL" doesn't have the "it" factor that "Lollipop" had. Wayne will benefit from his VMA performance IMMEDIATELY preceding the release of his album, but 1 million is very unlikely. Besides, he's still going to do great, probably over 500k, so I wouldn't worry too much. Wayne also is known (for those who actually follow his numbers) for his incredible longevity even in the face of no hits (See: "Rebirth" and "I am Not a Human Being"). On a more immediate note, Kanye and Jay-Z's "Watch the Throne" has been in the top 5 of iTunes (it's now back up to number 2) for OVER A WEEK now. I've never seen a pre-order do that. They're going to do Gangbusters next week.

On an unrelated note, if Adele beats out Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" for best album at the grammy's, then I quit. I know there are a lot of politics that are involved in deciding album of the year, but lets just look at this: Adele's "21" (34 Critics) www.metacritic.com/music/21(76/100) Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" (43 Critics) www.metacritic.com/music/my-beautiful-dark-twisted-fantasy(94/100) IT'S LIKE THE BEST REVIEWED ALBUM OF ALL TIME...OF ALL TIME. haha. But, I'm sure it will get snubbed because Adele has a good voice and sold more albums. Simple as that.
