I'm interested to hear how this sounds. I still enjoy Gloriana, despite their lack of hits recently...it's too bad that "Wanna Take You Home" didn't do better, but time to move on now. They have announced that the album will be titled "A Thousand Miles Left Behind", but I'm assuming they won't release it until this new single is up the chart a bit. Maybe they could squeak out a late November/early December release in time for the holidays...but otherwise it'll more likely be released in Q1 of 2012. Here's the CMT article about the album, and the now "trio". They say that the album is more organic, and I'm interested to hear how it and this new single will sound. www.cmt.com/news/country-music/1671174/as-a-trio-gloriana-really-love-their-new-sound.jhtml

Excited to hear this. I really like Gloriana and also liked Wanna Take You Home. Too bad it never caught on. Maybe this will move up the charts for them

The thread title should be changed to "(Kissed You) Good Night". Here's the single cover: Also, a live version of the song: From what I can tell from the live version, this sounds GREAT. Can't wait to hear the studio version.

Based on this, I think the studio version will sound great. I hope it does well for them. I like them as a trio better.

Studio audio, accompanied by a lyrics video:
According to Gloriana's website, the song will be on iTunes on October 18. It was written by band member Tom Gossin and songwriter Josh Kear.

I actually like this. It should have a shot to do something. It's a heck of a lot better than the Thompson Square kissing song that become a massive hit, so I hope radio plays this.

I really liked their debut, and now that the weakest link (Cheyenne) has left the group hopefully they can have some success. This is a great song. I love when they alternate between the male and female perspectives.

Sounds like a solid song. I hope it turns into a hit for them, because after Wild at Heart they can't seem to get out of the mid 30s on the charts.

It had a fairly good week this week, moving 51-45* and gaining nearly 400K in AI. The top 40 is still a few weeks away, I think, but it's doing well for only being in its sixth week. At least three songs in the top 40 will go recurrent, so that should help, but Taylor Swift and possibly Love and Theft will pass them.

^Thank You for the update, I'm hoping this will be a slow climb into at least the top 20 for this song.

Is there a release date for a new cd that this would be on?

Is there a release date for a new cd that this would be on? Not yet. It's just listed as "TBD Winter 2012". I'm sure they'll wait 'til this song is higher up the charts before they'll start thinking about when they might put this album out. They'll more than likely need to turn this in to somewhat of a hit if they want to get that album out.

^I thought the video was good. I would like to see this song take off but I'm sure it's just wishful thinking.

They nailed that video.....best one i have seen in a long time!! Anybody know the director?
Honestly, if this becomes a big hit like it should, that vid could get nominated for video of the year...and i think at least a group nom at the CMT's who seem to be the only place that remembers that Gloriana is still around.

This one might be starting to take off. It picked up 5 adds this past week, which is its best week in a long time. It also eclipsed the 3 million mark, moving up to a total of 3.078 million, after a 0.253 million gain. That's not big by any means, but considering they'd been struggling just to break even, it's not too shabby. WMN is continually putting out ads for this nearly every Monday night, as well, and it's now up to a new peak of #33.
It could move up another spot or two this coming week as well. The ZBB's "Keep Me In Mind" and Faith Hill's "Come Home" will both be leaving the top 30. The new ZBB single "No Hurry" will almost certainly move ahead, and Josh Turner, Jason Aldean, and the Eli Young Band could all be threats behind, but there's a chance that Gloriana can stay ahead of them yet, for at least a bit longer. Of course, Rodney Atkins and Lauren Alaina are even closer, directly behind this, so Gloriana needs to hold them off as well.
Best case scenario would probably be a move to #31, if they stay ahead of Rodney, Lauren, Josh, Jason, EYB, etc. That's allowing the ZBB's "No Hurry" to move ahead (as I see no way Gloriana will stay ahead of that one for another week), but moving Gloriana ahead of Andy Gibson, who is certainly within reach. Of course, Gloriana could post the same gain as Andy, Rodney, Lauren, etc., and all the songs will keep the same space in between themselves. Or worst case would be for Gloriana to be passed by Rodney, Lauren, Josh, Jason, and several others.
There may indeed be a week or two in the near future where this one has to take a step or two back, to allow some of the "hares" to go on by, but things are looking a little more encouraging, with more stations jumping on board, and the label seems committed. If they stick with this for a while (which I expect they will), it could continue to gain steam and slowly rise into the 20's and perhaps beyond.

It's a very good song and sounds great on the radio.
