It's true. That's the site that gave us the Goodbye Lullaby song titles.
Apparently she's recording a song with Will.I.Am. Maybe for his upcoming album. Doubt it's for hers.

Chad Kroeger is in love and he wants everyone to know how ‘fantastic’ his new fiancee and fellow rocker Avril Lavigne is

What started as a few songwriting sessions between Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne in February blossomed into a full-blown romance.
By August they were engaged and the “Chavril” moniker was born.
Kroeger says having a fellow rocker as a partner has benefits: they understand the pitfalls of touring and what comes with being a successful artist.
“It’s mind-blowing because I just look at her and we can talk,” he says. “Music we can talk, touring we can talk. We have so much in common, it’s just fantastic.”
Kroeger confirms the couple are still hard at work completing her forthcoming fifth album.
He says the album’s musical direction is dictated by Lavigne.
“When I’m with her, I’m mostly the lyric guy,” he says. “It’s easier to write for somebody who has got a vocal range like she’s got. It’s ridiculous how high she can go. She just opens up her throat and it goes higher and higher and it’s amazing. It’s like taking a bazooka to a knife fight.”
And will Lavigne return the favour by adding her vocals to the next Nickelback album? “That would be entirely up to her,” Kroeger says.
“We’re totally, absolutely, completely open to guest appearances, so it would be no different in her case – especially somebody as talented as she is.”

Im tired of this waiting.. i want so much new material.
I cant believe Avril just released 4 albums in 10 years. Soon it will be 2 years since GL era started and almost 6 years since TBDT era. Times flows fast!

Im so glad that Chad is talking something about the album. Almost everything we know about it came from his mouth now. Im a fan from Aril since 13 and im 23 now and still hasnt lost interest in the girl... but i am almost there. Will.I.Am is not a good step.

I'd actually like that. If it's released as a single and does well, it would be a good lead-in to her album.

Yeah...I'm starting to get frustrated. I know it's only been a year since 'WYWH' was a single, but still - I really thought they'd have rushed out the new album by now. I wonder how much longer she and Chad are going to be working on it. I thought he said a few weeks ago that they were finished? Ugh.

We don't know when Chad was interviewed. It doesn't say. That could be an interview from when she was still working on it.

For the 3rd time in a row she is coming back with a buzz single for a movie (KHO, Alice and now How You Remind Me). And she is coming really big in Japan. One Piece is one of the most successful animes ever.
And even we already know the song, this will be a good chance to see the production around her vocals and the chemistry of Chad and Avril. She is probably coming for a single in january or february.

the release in Japan was cancelled, it's not a buzz single and neither was Alice if you think about it, and I wouldn't bet on new music that soon if she is still working really hard (if working hard means traveling with your fiance)

This is the 123455th time Lievril works for this album . Anyway, this time it sounds like they chose the first single and it may come out in Dec/January if 'soon' doesn't mean few months

Very true. Let Go is her best album vocally which is odd since she was so young. She had such a rich tone on that album that she never quite surpassed. Plus she sounds the least Canadian on it. She really gave it her all, you can feel/hear her hunger if you know what I mean.

I thought it was ridiculous when Butch Walker was talking about working with her on The Best Damn thing and claiming she doesn't sound like a little girl anymore but a grown woman. Uhm if that high chipmunk voice that she used on most of the album is supposed to sound mature... well just NO!

I love when Avril uses her vibrato. Like those country songs she recorded before getting a record deal. Just lovely!
