On the Digital Songs chart, a new No. 1 is crowned, as Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain" rises 3-1 (despite a drop in sales) with 166,000 (down 15%). Last week's topper, LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It," tumbles 1-3 with 157,000 (down 30%). Rihanna's "We Found Love" (featuring Calvin Harris) holds at No. 2 with 164,000 (down 22%).

Flo Rida's "Good Feeling" is steady at No. 4 (126,000; down 11%) while Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Ni**as in Paris" jumps 17-5 (113,000; up 68%) following the pair's performance of the track on the CBS broadcast of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Nov. 29.

Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger" (featuring Christina Aguilera) remains at No. 6 (104,000; down 16%), Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" drops 5-7 (95,000; down 31%), and T-Pain's "5 O'Clock" (featuring Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen) rises 11-8 (95,000; up 12%). Rounding out the top 10 is Adele's "Someone Like You," falling 7-9 (94,000; down 24%), and David Guetta's "Without You" (featuring Usher), down 9-10 (82,000; down 23%).

Digital track sales this past week totaled 20.7 million downloads, down 6% compared with last week (22.1 million) and down 2% stacked next to the comparable week of 2010 (21.1 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 1.1 billion, up 9% compared with the same total at this point last year (1 billion).

Yep. Not to mention it just passed IWR on Itunes and could pass SAIKI (again) by the end of the day. Leaving it to be next in like for #1 on Itunes once again after Glee begins to fall. Just in time for that Christmas rush. :'(

But as often as #1 is changing between those three lately, it could lose #1 again. If it didn't have the single version out, just the album version, it would be so much better off...

The other version is out of the Top 100 and falling quickly. If they had removed that version, it would have hurt the songs sales overall. She probably wouldnt have lost #1 on the Hot 100, but its sales would have decreased. Now that this version is the only one visible to most, it has started to increase again.

I think if it manages to reach #1 on Itunes again, it will build a nice lead to sustain through Christmas.

IWR is just the lowest single since "Single Ladies" though right? I don't think SL is the lowest selling #1 of all time.

"Found" continues its Hot 100 dominance by spending a third week at No. 1 on Radio Songs with 143 million all-format audience impressions (up 3%), according to Nielsen BDS. On the Digital Songs chart, the track holds at No. 2 for a second frame, after five frames at No. 1, with 164,000 downloads sold (down 22%), according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Below Rihanna's Hot 100 leader, LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" logs a fifth week at No. 2. The cut rises 4-2 on Radio Songs (112 million) but falls to No. 3 after a week atop Digital Songs (157,000, down 30%).

While it could still command the Hot 100 going forward, "Sexy" has spent the most time at the runner-up position for a No. 2-peaking song since Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" tallied seven weeks in the silver medal spot in 2009-10. (With 10 each, Foreigner's "Waiting for a Girl Like You" (1981-82) and Missy Elliott's "Work It" (2002-03) have racked the most weeks peaking at No. 2 in the chart's history).

With the jump, "Throne" generates its first Hot 100 top 10 after "H*A*M" (included on the album after its January release) reached No. 29; "Otis," featuring the late Otis Redding, rose to No. 12; and, "Who Gon Stop Me" peaked at No. 44. The set has sold 1.1 million copies.

As "Paris" climbs, Jay-Z nets his 18th Hot 100 top 10, passing Lil Wayne and Ludacris (17 each) for the most top 10s among rappers in the chart's archives. West tallies his 14th top 10 with the advance.

Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" maintains its No. 9 rank on the Hot 100, gaining by 17% in airplay (82 million), though decreasing by 31% in digital sales (95,000). As previously reported, the song could regain sales momentum due its 69-cent sale pricing in the iTunes Store. "One" will need such a retail boost for Perry to score an unprecedented sixth Hot 100 No. 1 from her album "Teenage Dream." The set and Michael Jackson's "Bad" (1987-88) are the only efforts ever to produce five Hot 100 toppers apiece.

Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts," featuring Maroon 5's Adam Levine, rounds out the Hot 100's top 10, slipping 7-10.

When it went to 69 cents, TOTGA got straight increases on iTunes for almost 24 days. It is now pretty stable. The latest pop bar update is even a little red (decreasing). The extra sales won't show til the next Hot 100 update.

I think Katy's best chance is in January when her airplay has built up, and holiday freeze has waned off. This time of year is way too static to get a flash jump to #1.

If Katy doesn't plan to release a new album next year, they should continue pushing singles from Teeange Dream.

After "The One That Got Away" hits #1 courtesy of an acoustic remix and 69 cents discount, release "Not Like the Movies" for 'artistic credibility' sake and to provide something different. It may not chart that high but it could open her up to a more adult audience.

Then remix Peacock with a hot, current male artist (J. Cole?) turning the song into a duet which gives it male appeal and bam, another 130m + A.I. summer smash, potentially another #1. I think a bouncier, funkier bassline could work well in a remix.

And then "Hummingbird Heartbeat", one of the most infectious and feel-good songs on the album for holiday season 2012, another guaranteed Top 5.

In the end she will have broken the record for #1's and Top 10's off an album.

I'm all for it, but with all the remixes and other versions, people would pick her album and wouldn't recognize any of the songs because they all sound different as singles.
And why digital single sales are so low? especially at this time of year...
