Glad to see this song reach the top 5 on the Hot 100. Hope she used a butt double like Kim Kardashian did for her Turn It Up music video becasue Nicki's cakes were all out of proportion (or maybe they'll just CGI her body).

It seems like the crowd went bananas for Starships. It didn't even matter that Nicki hardly sang a note. This is going to be a huge summer hit if the video gives it a boost. |

Smh. It sickens me that despite my love for Nicki, her performances of this have almost convinced me that she has to be the worst performer out right now even though I know she's not and get that it's because it's such a pop song. I just really fear this mainstream/worldwide conquest (as much as I love it) is going to tear into her career.

Are people just now realizing that Nicki isn't a great live performer? All of her Super Bass performances last year should've hinted to this. (Not throwing shade, major stan here - I'm just stating truth.) The only performance that I really liked of hers was Turn Me On at the AMAs and on New Years Eve. I don't really think the performances are going to turn people off to her, because that would've happened already with the Super Bass TV spots. Plus, live pop singing is not her forte. I guess I'm just used to her artistry in the sense that she makes amazing radio singles, fantastic albums (I just can't get enough of the RedOne tracks - they have seriously been on repeat!) but just doesn't click with live performing. I didn't see her on Britney's tour, but my friend (who's a Nicki fan) said she was pretty messy. Oh well, I guess she can't have it all!
