Not a fan of Bieber, but I'm not his target demographic. I am actually looking forward to his #1 debut though. For one thing, it breaks up what looked like a long, comfortable run by fun (a song I love). And for another, with the kind of pop culture impact the Biebs has had, it reflects well when we look at these charts in the future. The Hot 100 is littered with acts that had their cheesy appeal that we can all make fun of years later - the Spice Girls, NKOTB, Shaun Cassidy, and so on.

No shade but how tall is he? If he hasn't hit his growth spurt yet will he ever? I know that most celebs are small which is why they look better on camera but when they get older they look weird.

Have you heard his new single? He sounds like a 18-year-old to me, nothing more nothing less.

And who cares what he sounds like really.. If he was like Omarion = a member of a boy group such as B2K, nobody would focus on what he sounds like.

My original post was in the context of a discussion about teen idols making the jump into adulthood. I'm simply saying that I don't think his "jump" has occurred yet. I'm sure when his next album comes out in three years when he's 21 the same people who are calling this his 'first adult album' will be calling the next one his 'first adult album.' All I'm saying is his change to "a man" still seems like it hasn't happened yet.

He is definitely not 5' 8". Have you seen him next to Usher (who is 5'8"-5'9")? He's closer to 5'6" and he clearly wears shoes with some height to them.

Yeah, not a whole lot of promotion and the video seems pretty low budget.

BUT, the reason this has exceeded my expectations is that it is VERY slow. It has elements of electronic in it, and if it were to get a dance remix/have a stronger beat, I would fully expect this to be a top 10 hit...but it's not. It's extremely R&B.

I LOVE the song though. One of Usher's bests by far.

I accept that Bieber will be #1. But I'd by lying if I said that I'm not disappointed that fun.'s run at #1 will be interrupted by one week of anybody, much less Bieber. I can live with it though.
