I've been informed that, according to Mediatraffic, Born This Way has exceeded 6 million in worldwide sales due to the touring effects boosting her album sales significantly. It could be possible that after all is said and done with her touring effect, her sales next year could land between 7 and 8 million sold worldwide. Wonderful. :) I'm also going to drop a few rumours in here about the next album. As far as I know, the source has a history of leaking true information, so... enjoy, Operation Gaga is my source. - She will work with RedOne again. Is very clear that she does not want to make any more songs like Just Dance/Poker Face/Judas. - Album will be lighter in sound, but just as serious in lyrical content as BTW. Album is about death and decay. Not primarily focused on gay rights. - No Beyoncé collab - 13 tracks on the album. DJWS and Fernando produced the majority of the tracks. RedOne only has 1-3 tracks. - Lyrics are darker than BTW, but music is poppier and brighter. Yin & Yang concept. Songs similar to BTW & EOG. - New era won't be as "shocking" as previous ones. She wants to gain respect of general public again. No singles like Judas or Alejandro. Again, this was emphasized. I'm really liking the sound of this! :o

Lady Gaga & Beyoncé present their new collaboration album: "(Don't Need to Watch Because We're) On the Throne"
Would be so good. :'(

The Edge Of Glory is perhaps my favourite single from the last album so I'm okay if there are new songs in that vain. Likewise for Born This Way, though I do think that song itself is rather messy musically and lyrically, I do still really like it.
I hope the rumours are true except when they said the songs are brighter and poppier, I'm a little iffy and hope they aren't standard and typical. I hope they're still very GaGa.

Not sure how that is going to work out, but OK... I don't like dark / preachy Gaga all that much. Paparazzi and Bad Romance are the only of her serious songs that I like. I much prefer the more fun songs like Just Dance, Love Game, and The Fame (the song) and don't like her messagy songs at all.

All of these rumors bore me, especially the bits about more Fernando, less RedOne/anyone else I even remotely care about. If she really wanted to be cool, she'd just start working with the nobodies (not that Garribay is necessarily a somebody, but I mean, good nobodies.) Not sure how that is going to work out, but OK... Well, for starters, she writes the words to the song on one piece of paper and composes the melody on.. oh let's be adventurous, a piano. The melody will probably be light and happy while the lyrics talk about, hypothetically speaking, the downfall of society or some s**t to that effect. Then, she sings the words that she wrote (we call those "lyrics") over the poppy melody with lots of energy. And there you have a painfully ironic and quirky song! For more information, see The Fame Monster.

The rumors so far indicate that it won't be preachy or "messag-y" Things can be darker without having a message. Like, most of Fame Monster is dark but the only one I might say has a message is maybe Dance in the Dark (Unless I am forgetting one?) However, I don't think people who want Gaga to just sing about how fun dancing is will ever be happy and might just consider it a lost cause. She just does not seem interested in being that pop star for people. She is rich enough to do whatever she wants now forever so I guess it is up to her. I hope she still has some songs that could be dark, but don't feel that way (arguably Bad Romance Edge of Glory Paparazzi Monster etc). I don't mind her not singing about how dancing is fun though. There are already 500 other pop stars out there doing just that now-I have my fill lol.

Lest we forget, every Gaga song has a "message".

The sad thing is is that there would be some dumbasses that would actually say and believe that. Apparently Madonna has a monopoly on the producers she works with and how known they are when they work together.

She just sang a new song off of her new album at the last Sydney show. It's called Princess Die.
And, in addition to that:

I was hoping for less DJ White Shadow and Fernando, but I'm glad she's still got a couple of tracks with RedOne. I think if she could pull off having dark-themed lyrics accompanied by pop production that would be pretty amazing, but I'm not sure how well it would work out. I am a little iffy on the whole "death and decay" theme. I really appreciate that she wants to "gain respect of [the] general public" again, though. I hope that means we can look forward to more commercial/radio success with this upcoming album. I like the sound of that "Princess Die" song from the video, but I hope it's not on the album.

And, in addition to that: Who's that guy? Is he reliable? He's a fan, but I think he's reliable. He went backstage to see her and based on his prior tweets I'd just take his word for it. For now we can just scrutinize, but it's not too far-fetched. An album full of Princess Die-esque songs would probably be a bad idea (even if we don't know what the fully-produced version sounds like).

Yeah, songs like that probably wouldn't do well on radio. Especially that one. "Princess Die" would go over horrrrrrribly with the general public.

Tears of sadness? Emotional from the lyrics? Happy about the song? Sad about it? Elaborate. Oh, and congratulations, you're 2x Platinum. :)

Don't worry, she said before she played the song that Princess Die is in no way reflective of the music on her new album. :)

Remember when "You and I" was the first song heard from Born This Way?
Y&I is DEFINITELY not like the rest of that album.

I don't recall the acoustic version of Y&I exactly but it seems the production makes it way different song. Probably the case with Princess Die.

It could even be an electronic ballad that doesn't even feature a piano instrumental (like when she performs The Edge of Glory on the piano). The actual album track could sound completely different from what she performed at the concert.

News from DJ White Shadow's twitter. He confirmed two things while responding to fan inquiries. 1. The records he is producing with Lady Gaga are going to be fun. 2. We will be surprised by the producer with the lead single. With that being said, we can probably rule out Red One, Fernando Garibay, and White Shadow for her first single. Zedd is a possibility.

I now want to know *when* the lead single will be released. Will it come before, after or the same week as the album title? GaGa's promo schedule and everything leading up to her albums are fascinating.
