The diva's latest release, due out Nov. 11, will be carried in 175 of the chain's U.S. stores this week. Sources say that a fairly small quantity of the album will be stocked by the retailer, and will not be replenished. It will be sold for $9.95 at H&M. In addition, Lady Gaga will be on hand at the grand opening of the new H&M store in New York's Times Square on Nov. 14. While sales of the album at H&M will not count towards the Billboard charts, that shouldn't dampen the set's debut sales week. Industry sources forecast "ARTPOP" to sell between 300,000 to 350,000 in its first week in the U.S. (H&M does not report its sales to Nielsen SoundScan, which tracks music sales for Billboard's charts.) While H&M doesn't report to SoundScan, there are a number of other non-traditional music retailers that do: Nordstrom, JCPenney and Walgreens, for example. The latter company partnered with Taylor Swift for the launch of her "Red" album a year ago. Yeah everyone is in line at HM to see gaga. |

30 songs? She'll be exhausted! 25ish seems to be the standard for most acts these days, but I think Gaga could handle a few more. If not some of those could be cut short/put in a medley. or 8-12 can be cut since they aren't any good to begin with. But I envision an ever-changing setlist for this tour. |

I'm expecting around 400k, which is by no means bad even considering how her last album opened. I'm almost positive her and her label are not anticipating the kind of opening she had with Born This Way, all things considered. There's absolutely no reason for them to, all things considered. If this manages to exceed 450k, the label should be elated.

Wait sorry kind of dense but why is this being released on a Monday instead of a Tuesday?! I thought I'd have to wait one more day for ARTPOP ??? Big releases often release on Mondays to get a full 7 days of sales in the first week. So she's doing a live stream show in a little bit? |

Haus of Gaga? remember how months ago i started the house of Coco Caine? I wasnt quite dressed like that tho but i think that proves Gaga and her team are keeping up to date with music forums. I remember people thought I was crazy for that thread?

It is fairly common for major albums to release on Monday. I honestly don't get why they don't just release all albums on Monday. I know there is a reason for it, but if the sales week is Mon-Sun and major albums are released on Mondays frequently why not?

What albums have done this? Bangerz and Prism were on Tuesday.
My mind is just blown, I don't understand, I've never heard of major albums getting released on Monday. I'm sorry that I guess I sound like such a dumbass.
