Another great performance!
I think this SNL is the best episode I've seen in ages and it should really help with Gaga's image for people who still watch the show. It *should* really help her out but at the very least, it won't hurt her in any way at all. I think she definitely slayed! Effortlessly.

Hmm...Gypsy isn't a favorite of mine, but I really enjoyed her H. Stern performance of the song and this one wasn't bad.

Amazing performance! "Gypsy" must be the third single.

What a cute sketch, but so sad. :(
Seems odd for an SNL sketch though.

Damn they cut off the hugging session...lol.
Gaga was fantastic tonight. I really enjoyed the DWUW performance and I expect their AMA performance to be even better.
Overall enjoyable show.

Lady Gaga Gets Sensual With R. Kelly, Pokes Fun at Herself on 'SNL': WatchLady Gaga showed she can poke fun at herself with the best of them during her first hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. The singer, who follows Miley Cyrus as musicians who have both hosted and performed during the show's 39th season this year, performed cuts from her new album "ARTPOP" -- with an assist from a certain R&B star -- while showing off her acting chops. "Do What U Want," Gaga's second single off "ARTPOP," hadn't been performed live prior to her "SNL" hosting gig, but that all changed with a downright dirty rendition of the tune with her featured guest on the song, R. Kelly. After a few crotch grabs for good measure, Gaga got down on the stage floor, Kellz basically doing push-ups over her before he picked her up, getting straddled in the process. A little later, Gaga returned for "Gypsy," beginning the tune behind a pink piano before the song launched into full electric glory with her backing band. Before long, a purple-clad dancer joined the cacophony, and together, Gaga, band and dancer sang, played and danced the hell out of the song's catchy final bars. www.billboard.com/articles/news/5793209/lady-gaga-gets-sensual-with-r-kelly-pokes-fun-at-herself-on-snl-watch

liked both performances. However, her guitarist did a bad job of even pretending to play...there were so many close of shots of them and you could tell they were not playing. The strings didn't move and their hands were nowhere near touching them. She did a good job though.

I thought Gaga did an amazing job hosting and performing tonight. She was the highlight of all the skits she was in. I cackled at the "Express Yourself" cover in the 'bad covers' skit. Madonna's gon' be pissed all over again. ;) She looked especially fierce during the monologue. I love that Marilyn Monroe-esque hair she had during that part. The Jazz/Burlesque/Cabaret version of "Applause" was so cool. Love that she does that style so nicely. The performances of "Do What U Want" and "Gypsy" were fun. I do wish "Gypsy" had been done completely stripped down just as she did the first time she performed it because it really showcases her vocals.

Watched the performances. The description for DWUW that they're almost having sex on stage is perfect. shady bitch.

She's such a ham, LOL. Overall, I enjoyed it and the more she performs Gypsy, the more I love it. I'm actually glad she did a full-band version this time.

The opening outfit was sorta similar to what Madge wore when she appeared in the opening skit in 1993. Nice Chicago-like presentation of "Applause" there. Gotta love her "sneaking in" an extra performance there. I've only watched the "Bad Covers" and final skits thus far. She reminded me of Yetta from The Nanny in the last one. She was good in it. RE "Bad Covers"- she has to know how similar "Born This Way" sounds to "Express Yourself," so why not have fun with it. I really think two things irked Madge more than anything: When she said she received an e-mail from Madge's team giving her her blessing to the song (when it supposedly never happened; but maybe her team told her that Madge's team sent an -email- who knows). And, not mentioning her at the Grammys when,m sonically, she was more of an influence (on that song and in general) than the great Whitney Houston. Just my take, though. Madge never said she disliked her, so she shouldn't feel as such.

She'd make a great Roxie Hart in a Chicago revival.

Didn't love the performance with R. Kelly- not a fan of the song in general, though. Though I like going to "the club" every now and then, tired of hearing about it in songs.

She killed it last night. Almost everything - from the opening monologue, to the skits, to the 'Do What U Want' performance - was perfect. I wasn't crazy about her performance of 'Gypsy', but I don't care much for the song itself, so that was to be expected.

Anyone who didn't like Gaga on SNL last night clearly has it in for her and aren't worthy my time (on Gaga or music-related issues). She was THAT fun!
Any doubts I was beginning to have on Gaga were eradicated last night after SNL. I'm just so impressed!

I thought she did ok. I was not very impressed. I find myself being impervious to Gaga.

Just watched a couple of the sketches. I'm very well aware that it's meant to be sarcastic, but it just felt like SNL made her admit that "Born This Way" sounds that similar to "Express Yourself". AND made her acknowledge all that "her career is dwindling, she will be forgotten" talk.
Also that "Do What You Want" performance was poorly rehearsed and cringe-worthy.

I think it's pretty obvious that Gaga was totally in on every joke. I didn't get the feeling that they 'made her admit' or 'made her acknowledge' anything.
