Call me crazy but I think the lack of a DWUW video has actually helped the song's performance and gave the song somewhat of a 'mysterious' value. It'll go down as the hit that never had a video and will give the next video/single more buzz.

I rolled my eyes at the heading of that piece of news, and started thinking 'oh Gaga no!'
But then I read the message... And I actually appreciate it. I think it comes from a good place and focus on being more understanding than judgmental. And focuses on the fans rather than the artist. Good one.

That post in support of Bieber is such crap. The little douche was driving (excuse me- "drag racing") under the influence and could have killed someone- that's indefensible. He completely deserves the "words and judgment."

I don't see her defending Justin though in that post-it is all about the fans.I don't get why everyone is saying she is defending Justin and drunk driving when the entire message is geared toward the Beliebers (which are his fans, correct? Am I getting the words mixed up?). And I get that-she is VERY fan-centered and a lot of Justin's fans are little girls getting death threats and being mocked on twitter right now. Maybe it is different for me because I have a little girl in my life who is a Belieber and people are being nasty as fuck to her on twitter right now and she has been crying on and off for the last two days, but I get why Gaga is defending his fans or at the very least saying maybe stop being jerks to them on twitter some of them are like, 12 and everything probably seems dramatic to them right now.

Not your interpretation, but what she's doing is basically giving his fans the OK to enable him to do such a thing without any repercussion. The domino effect is, obviously (you'd think), that it winds up an unintentional endorsement of his actions. If she'd left it at "don't harass the Beliebers over this", then that would've been fine and well. But showing them compassion? For what? This was Beiber's responsibility to his fans, not Little Monsters. They should not be made to believe it's ok to support someone like that. |

I'm okay with the fact that the DWUW video will never see the light of day. If Gaga is not 100% pleased with the results, then she has the right to hold it back. As long as we get a couple more singles from ARTPOP, I'll be happy!

At least she had three big televised performances of DWUW, so it's not like the single lacked visuals. And then the remix with Aguilera was released a couple weeks after their performance.
