I am all for trying new things and being artistic and stuff, but having some woman vomit all over you during a live performance is not art. It's really gross. One hopes they never have to vomit, and of course they never want to be vomited on (unless they are into that sort of thing as a fetish), but it's just nasty. It's like she is trying to be as shocking and strange as possible. I like it when she's all over the place and experimental, but this is just too out there.
I look forward to her explanation on why she did this.

Not that I'm defending Gaga and calling this art because it's Gaga but it's all in how one chooses to look at it. Art isn't meant to be universally liked or loved or agreeable or pretty or whatever. I would argue that it's meant to make you think, or get a reaction, or even be repulsive, as this aspect of the performance was. Art can bring out negative emotions. I doubt anyone would look at a vomiting person as something "good" in the standard sense. It's all in how you react to it. I thought it was disgusting and maybe she is trying too hard but I wouldn't say it's not art because it's disgusting or because I think she should be a pop star. |

I liked the aggressive, metal-ish aspect of the performance. She was really into it and having fun.

Her tearing down the Artpop letters and throwing them seemed like a message or maybe I am overthinking it lol. Though I am kind of scared of what would come out of a new recording session with her and her frame of mind right now. |

I think you're overthinking. As max said, her messages seemed conflicted tonight. I think we all know she sometimes has trouble with messaging lol. I haven't seen the performances yet, but I do know that Gaga has worked with Millie in the past. It's interesting that something that has occurred before, is now an uproar. Meh. I guess that is what happens when you are no longer in total favor.

She's not explicitly throwing up in the video, though. It suddenly cuts to her and there's stuff coming out of her mouth. Could easily be faked. Whereas tonight was obviously not. lolz
Also I think I love it now. I just wish she would have pooped rather than vomit. Since pooping is normal but making yourself vomit is bad.

You see her sticking her fingers down her throat still though. I think it is just different when you are seeing it happen live as opposed to in a clip that was probably recorded a few times and colors messed with and stuff like that. The vomiting didn't bother me as much as her acting like a crazy person though. I don't know what that says about me.

Wtf? I saw the video clip LPL posted and was like: ok it seems artsy and at least covered to minimize the grossness; then saw the pics on buzzfeed and reminded me of pics of 80s trash metal shit. Disgusting. I'm now concerned about what she's going to present in her tour and where she's going next  I was just gonna share tonight how I was blasting Gypsy repeatedly tonight while driving and while working even. Pop gem! And I love Gaga for that... But I'm concerned of what she's doing and what she's thinking. Her rasta filthy dreads and now her puke scene are giving me bad vibes. Confused |
