"I Knew You Were Trouble" is Taylor's biggest hit and her first number-one. It is so strong that it snatched top 20 despite the fact that 12 of its 36 weeks charting was in 2012 including two weeks at #1. Funny how it got a major resurgence (look at the week it jumped from #20 to #5) thanks to those "goat remixes" taking over Youtube. Queen of goats. :'( The lyrics are kinda nonsensical (why did you date him if you knew "he is trouble"? ) Always complaining bisssh. The production is one of the best Max Martin have ever made. The blend of the guitars and the dance beats and the dubstep influence. <3 Magic. Look at the pink background. Isn't it fabulous? :'( | | Points: 2 184 Chart run [2013]: 2 1 2 3 4 7 7 16 20 5 12 13 24 27 32 39 44 54 56 59 63 68 77 83 |

"My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up)" was the highest peaking alternative song this year. It was quite strong in the top three and spent most of its 22 weeks long chart run above #50. I was excited when I saw the trailers about the band coming back. I love the whole project and this was a good choice for the lead single. A bit angry, a bit messy, but the outcome is amazing.

A really good track from Fall Out Boy. I also was excited for their comeback too and they delivered it well, despite I think it wasn't as strong as the first two singles from Infinity on High. *ignoring Josh last two comments words on this thread*

I don't care for "Treasure" and "True Love", and "Right Now" is just decent, but YESSSS at the others!! All flawless songs that are amongst my favorites this year But why is the "Heart Attack" cover so zoomed in?

I didn't like the idea of "Stay" being the second single off Unapologetic, but warmed up to it in the end. It's a beautiful piano ballad and was the best choice for the season it was released. It's an important and memorable hit in her career and was a platform for Mikky Ekko who scored another top 20 hit with "Pull Me Down". "Stay" spent 27 weeks on my chart.

Sorry I haven't been following from the start, so I will begin with #25 #25 YAYAYAYAYAYAY! This was my 2013 jam! #24 This song is alright. #23 For some reason, I never got into this song. #22 Never liked this song, too cheesy, and I never liked the lyrics. But the Lily Allen part was good! #21 I love this song! Sad it didn't make top 20! #20 The production was a mess, but I really like it! #19 A little cheesy, but I still love it! #18 One of my favorites from Taylor Swift, never really got old for me. #17 Loved it since the 1st listen, and still do! It's one of my favorites of 2013! #16 My favorite Rihanna single off of her new album! Pretty good! :) Looking forward to seeing the top 15 songs!

"Suit & Tie" was the perfect comeback song and it came out at the right time. Its chart run was rather strange with many ups and downs, but the week it spent at #1 was massive. I love everything about this song even Jay-Z's verses, the whole product is so badass. The horns, the vocals, the video >>> It spent 27 weeks on my chart.

"I Love It" was another longevity champ, but instead of rising slowly it peaked in its 4th week never to disappear. It peaked at #3 and charted for 31 weeks. The lyrics are kinda nonsensical, but the beat and the attitude caught me. It's the best "idc"-song to listen to when you're walking down the street. An anthem. I hope no one will take it seriously.

"Burn" debuted at #5 and spent ten straight weeks inside the top ten scoring her third #1 hit. It was one of the biggest hits of the summer mainly because its joyful and happy nature. The song is infectious - catchy and very Ellie. It had a big replay value, it was virtually on loop in its first week. I've never got sick of it, the only thing that bothers me is the late release in the US. It's in my top 3 songs off Halcyon Days so I consider it a standout on one of my favorite albums of 2013.

Chart Week of 2014. January 4. (week 1) |
Lady Gaga's "Do What U Want" which features R'n'B singer R. Kelly returns to #1 for a 7th week, matching the first single, "Applause". It again breaks the record for the lowest points for an #1 song with 143,000 points this week. Even with that it's one of the two songs in the top 10 with bullet thanks to the new remix released yesterday (R. Kelly, Rick Ross and Xtina). "The Monster" is down #1-2 after spending one week at the top spot. "Team" is down #2-3. Klangkarussell's "Sonnentanz" is up #7-4, because the songs above it fell harder. "Human" stays at #5, while "Hard Out Here" is down #4-6. "Follow Your Arrow" is down from #6 to #7, meanwhile DJ Earworm's "Living The Fantasy" climbs #14-8. Last year's mashup peaked at #3. "Just One Yesterday" is down #8-9. Completing the top ten, "Out Of My League" moves up #12-10. "G.U.Y." is up #13-12 and is will move back into the top 10 with the fall of "Applause" and DWUW.
| | Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love" is up #17-13. "My Head Is A Jungle" is up #28-16. Miley's "Adore You" moves up #19-17. The Christmas songs are falling. "Look Right Through" is up #33-18. Lily Allen's "Somewhere Only We Know" jumps from #53 to #25 in its third week. My chart is a mess this week because of the holidays and the in-between. "Bravado" jumped #58-39, Lorde's 4th single to reach top 40. |

"Demons" has managed to score a higher peak than its predecessor on my chart and had an amazing longevity. It peaked at #4 after 20 weeks of climbing. It peaked below three huge hits with 177,000 points - a number that would be enough for #1 in three of the last four weeks. It's an amazing rock ballad with the right balance of production and vocals.
