So Sept 14 to HAC and AC!. I think this shows they are following the Colbie Caillat route of going strong on HAC and then possibly move it to Pop!

This song is alright, kinda boring. I've always liked her voice but I expected her to go with a more interesting sound this time around.

I think they will eventually send this to Top40. But in order to break the Rhythmic hold on Top 40 you need to either be an established artist of have a hit on another format. I think that is what they realize and are gearing for. Besides I agree that this is tailor made for HAC.
I think the Country sound comments I am seeing are more because Country has gone more Pop than because Kat has gone country. A lot of what is on country radio these days would have been on top 40 a few years ago. The rhythmic sound has pushed them away from Top 40 towards HAC and country. And the audience for that style of music has moved with them.

I think it's kinda a smart move to debut a song like this, cuz it will bring back the fans who abandoned her (but love her voice) with the last album. I hope the song's a success, i'm sure it will do well. If Colby can, Kat can. |

2 of Kat's biggest spinners for Over It were HAC stations. It was still getting daily play on KYKY in St Louis till about a month ago. So hopefully we will see strong interest in the new one. HIA is a much better song IMO.

This may do decently here and on AC, but I don't see it doing too much on CHR if they do send it there. Maybe top 40 if it's lucky.

They should really focus on AC & HAC if this song is an indication of what's the album going to be like. Make her a core artist on HAC then crossover to pop occasionally with poppier songs. It's a great direction for Kat in my opinion.

I just watched the video. Great look for Katherine and I really like the song. I hope it does well for her on HotAC. I don't see it doing too much on pop...maybe top40.
