Didn't it get to #3 for a few hours? Hopefully with the video teaser tonight this will at least get up to #2 and stay there for a bit. Don't see it dethroning Psy to be honest. That "song" is the biggest thing around at the moment.

NMT had a decent peak but fell very quickly within a day or something...in case people try to compare this to NMT. I do think this could possibly get to #2 after The Voice tonight, sad it probably won't get to #1 though. Hopefully it's consistent at least, I think it will be.

I think it should have no problem hitting #1. She has a performance on one of the most watched shows on TV, the video premiere, iTunes banner, and radio support.

"Your Body" video to premiere late September

Global superstar Christina Aguilera will be releasing her new album Lotus on November 13th through RCA Records. The music video for her first single “Your Body” will premiere late September but the artist is offering her fans an exclusive sneak peek on NBC’s “The Voice,” Monday, September 17th.

Filmed over 2 days on location in and around Los Angeles with award-winning director, Melina Matsoukas, the video takes an unexpected and whimsical approach to the song. The imagery is fun, colorful and campy with a bold twist one would expect from this highly visual artist.

Christina said, “I was really drawn to the playful nature of this story. I didn’t want to take myself or the video too seriously and it shows from the wardrobe, to the locations and even the pink truck. Nothing is literal in this video.”

I got in a big Namaste squabble about the virtues/drawbacks of swearing in Pop music a few months back with Payphone. In that instance, I really think the swearing fit the song, and added edged to an otherwise sweet sounding track.

For this, I will certainly be listening to the "love your body" version. The phrase "f*ck your body" just sounds clunky as hell anyway. Almost as though she singing about screwing a dead dude.

I don't think the explicit version sounds sexy or edgy, just a little odd and seedy.

By the way, I do really like this.

Caved and listened to this. It's reasonably good, but it still doesn't sound like much of a hit to me. I could see it scraping top ten, but not doing more than that. Still, a top ten hit would be amazing for her at this point. I prefer "Not Myself Tonight" at this point.
