"The Moment I Knew" is an awful choice for a single and won't be chosen. "Come Back, Be Here" on the other hand is a great choice but seems more like a final single. I'd be cool with "Holy Ground" over "Red" as a fourth country single, but I want "All Too Well" next.

"Come Back, Be Here" would be great. So would "All too Well" but I would think they would followup one slow song BA with a more uptempo one "Red."

Why the hell is "Girl At Home" being considered for COUNTRY? I've only listened to that song like twice because it was so bad, but I don't remember a single country thing about it. The other two bonus tracks are fine, and "Come Back... Be Here" is the far superior of them, but its just flat out ridiculous if anything other than "All Too Well" is chosen as the next single.
A radio edit would be easy for the song, just cut it at the 3:50ish mark (I feel like the song should end there anyway) and cut out some of the music at the beginning too and you've got it down to 3:40ish mark which should be fine for radio.
ATW is easily my favorite song on "Red" and probably my favorite in Taylor's catalog along with "Mean" so seeing it as a single would be ideal for me.
"Red" can be 4th (dual release to country/pop) and "Come Back Be Here" as the final single.

I don't like "Girl at Home" either, but it's definitely country-leaning. "Moment I Knew" and "Holy Ground" are pop-leaning, so neither of those should be in contention even though I like both of them (they could both certainly be pop singles).
"Come Back... Be Here" or "All Too Well" please.

I guess "Stay, Stay, Stay" doesn't have a chance then. I still say that's her best bet at a big country hit from this album. Out of what's being tested, I'd go with "All Too Well", but I'd be a little leery of releasing two slow singles in a row.

I guess I'm in the minority about Red since so many seem to want that as a single. I thought the lyrics are pretty terrible, and the song is nothing special as a whole too.
All Too Well is my pick for next single.

Has there ever been an album wherein all singles are slow songs?

"All Too Well" needs to be released, for the 29437597248th time. After that, I don't care what else is sent to Country. I just need this song on my radio.

I really think All Too Well would be a great single choice. It would do wonders for her image at country radio and it would certainly be an award-worthy song. I also can only imagine that the video treatment would be out of this world as well.

"All Too Well", "Red", and "Come Back... Be Here" are the ONLY options here. They better not screw it up.
"Holy Ground" and "The Moment I Knew" are some of my favorites on the album, but not for country.

"All too Well" would be good if they are waiting to release one after HDC peaks. "Red" is such radio ear candy for both formats, I just can not see them doing a dual release at some point. "Come Back" would be a great final single. I would like to see "Stay" just cause it is in the same vein as "Mean" with country instrumentation.
"22" seems like it's gonna be one of the top songs of the early Summer on Pop radio. I would love to see "Red" follow it on Pop and Country.

The sound of the red-re-re-re-red thing that echoes behind her initial reciting of that word is hardly something to get up in arms about over a use of "autotune." It's actually used a lot more often than people think; it's just a matter of how much they use as to whether you notice it or not (and of course, in pop music it goes with the dance production so they lay it on more for aesthetic purposes).

This doesn't really apply to "Begin Again", but it hasn't been posted yet..."I Knew You Were Trouble" got added to 1 country station a couple weeks ago, KFRG in Riverside, CA, which is 26th in market size (so a moderate/big size). Now IKYWT has picked up its 2nd add, and it's at the biggest station on the panel...KKGO in Los Angeles added IKYWT this week. Only a few spins there generate a lot of audience and could get IKYWT onto the Billboard Airplay chart...

Do you think they're playing IKYWT simply because of Taylor's starpower or because their listeners want to hear the song?

KKGO is independently-owned so that 'helps' when it comes to playing non-singles, but they don't usually play a ton of them and they definitely don't play straight-up pop songs. My guess is they're just gonna spin it a few times since Big Machine hasn't announced a new Taylor single other than "Highway Don't Care" with Tim.
IKYWT has only gotten 2 adds and both of them came after "Begin Again" peaked so it's just the stations looking to fill their 'Taylor quota' with a new song, since there currently isn't a follow-up to BA (unless you count HDC).

Watch them treat HDC as the follow-up to "Begin Again".

I never really understood why this song had to get pushed to succeed... I always knew it existed but had never heard it until I saw it struggling and decided to give it a listen to find out why... I fell in love with it immediately. "On Wednesday, at the cafe... I watched it begin again..." beautiful.

I'm really hoping for "All Too Well" next. Red might do well on country radio, but it might be wise to take a break from the borderline pop sounding music after Begin Again's struggle. Perhaps HDC's success will get Taylor back on country radio's "trusted" side. (Not that she has lost all trust, but radio has probably started to become hesitant after her latest two singles.)

It peaked at #3 on Billboard Airplay and was manipulated to a #1 peak on Mediabase.

I have no idea why KKGO, which recently became the most-listened to country station in the nation (followed by KPLX and WUSN) as well as KFRG are even bothering to play 'IKYWT; I listen to both stations a lot, since KFRG has a monster signal that I can hear in my car 50+ miles away in LA.
I can only assume that as was the case with several stations playing Carrie's flamethrower-supreme 'Songs Like This' when Arista declined to release another single from 'Play On', as well as the abnormally lengthy period of time between 'Just A Dream' going recurrent and Whitney Allen announcing 'I Told You So' as the follow-up, which led to KUSS, KSON & KEEY all adding 'The More Boys I Meet' to their playlists until 'ITYS' hit radio, that KKGO & KFRG are just looking for a 'new' tune from Ms. Swift to play given the swift & staggering losses in spins for 'Begin Again'.
Big Machine certainly can't be concerned about a new country single from her cannibalizing airplay from the white-hot 'Highway Don't Care', since country radio has never had a problem with any artist having two tunes on the charts simultaneously, either as a duet or a collaboration.

I don't really understand why Big Machine didn't just release another country single in February. By not releasing another single, they are just confirming what many people suspect, that Red has no more country single material (which isn't true). Had they released a single in February, it probably would've peaked around the same time as "22" peaks on pop and HAC, but at this point I think they'll just have to wait a month or so and release "Red" to country radio, and then maybe a month later send it to pop and HAC.

I think it is a little odd that a thread for this is even in the country forum. All the reviews are addressing the Red tour and songs as Pop and even some rock. Taylor even retweeted on twitter in regards to the reviews so I would say she is happy as being classified as the mega Pop/Rock star of 2013.
