This is a very awkward chart this week. The entire top 8 remains stagnant (almost like Billboard took over that portion), but everything below it is completely screwy and fun to look at. "Don't Rush" randomly skyrockets from its time meandering in the mid teens to number nine! "Crazy Kids" rises above "Gold Trans Am" and re-enters the top ten. "I'm Legit" re-peaks at number 15. Last week's debut, "Merry Go 'Round" jumps from 23 to 17. Ellie Goulding has deja vu and debuts at 19 with "Figure 8." "Lights" debuted at number 19 as well and went on to be #1 for four weeks and #6 for the entire year of 2012. "My Oh My" jumps back inside the top 20 after crashing to 25 last week. "Radioactive" is climbing again in part due to its new found success on alternative radio. "Castle of Glass" tumbles even though it doesn't really lose many points at all. "Natalie" finds a new peak of 29 and "Just a Fool," the duet with Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton, makes its debut at 28. Even through all of this weird movement, "Some Nights" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" remain on the chart extending their long lives. "Some Nights" is now only seven weeks away from breaking the longest stay record, currently held by "Give Your Heart a Break" at 43 weeks. 6 more weeks would tie it. Will they do it? "Moonshine" and "Looking Hot" get the boot.

The chart continues to be a total clusterfuck with more sporadic movements and chart points continuing to grow quickly! Taylor locks in a fourth week at #1 with "I Knew You Were Trouble.," but she now has two songs knocking on the door to replace her. "C'Mon" shoots up from #4 to #2 while "Don't You Worry Child" zooms from #6 to #3. "Try" in pushed down to #4. "Troublemaker" also finds its way into the top five at #5. "Locked Out of Heaven" drops from #3 to #6. Will Taylor stay at the top longer, or will she be replaced by Ke$ha, Swedish House Mafia, or Olly Murs? Below the top five, there are two new top ten entries from Neon Trees at #8 and Kacey Musgraves at #9. "Merry Go 'Round" zooms 17 to 9 earning the biggest increase of the week honor. Also reaching new peaks this week are "Two Black Cadillacs," "Figure 8," "Love Without Tragedy / Mother Mary," "Just a Fool," and "Natalie"! All of this while we have THREE debuts this week! Leading the pack is Alicia Keys's "Girl on Fire," which enters in at #22. Two spots below her, Maroon 5 enter with their latest single, "Daylight." The shocking debut of the week comes in at #29 from Kelly Clarkson. This Monday, Kelly performed a beauty rendition of the patriotic tune, "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at President Obama's second term inauguration. She completely blew me away and I immediately downloaded the rendition. In six days, it gained enough points to make the chart! Very few songs have debuted in the week they were added. With the very busy week I've had, there's not a whole lot of movement on the chart. In fact, most of the songs actually lost points. In fact, there's a few songs that reach new peaks or match their old peaks even though they lost points. Taylor continues to her reign on top with "I Knew You Were Trouble." snagging its fifth week on the chart. Is she going to break her previous record of nine weeks on top with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"? She gained while her competition, "C'Mon" and "Don't You Worry Child" both lost points. "Catch My Breath" returns to the top five thanks to barely gaining points. Neon Trees move up to get a new peak of number seven, despite losing points. "I'm Legit" makes the surprising jump of the week to number nine! Also reaching new peaks this week are "Castle of Glass," "Daylight," and "Just a Fool." "Wanted" climbs back to its previous peak position. There are surprisingly no drop outs this week. However, it was close for a new track to debut. It should be noted that "Stay" by Rihanna and Mikky Ekko lost out on debuting this week by less than half a point!

Once again, Taylor adds her name to another record! "I Knew You Were Trouble." lands its sixth week at number one, tying it with both "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "Die Young" for most consecutive weeks at number one. "Never" spent an addition three weeks at number prior to its six week run, making it also hold the record for longest stay at number one ever. Will "Trouble" land a seventh week and break the record? Or will "C'Mon" finally get a chance at number one? "Try" also continues its long stay in the top five. This week marks its 13th week inside the top five, tieing it with "Wide Awake" and "Never Ever"! It continues to get closer to breaking the record for longest stay in the top five. Currently ahead of it are "Call Me Maybe" with 15 weeks and "Die Young" with 14 weeks. Entering the top five this week is "Lessons in Love" by Neon Trees and Kaskade, marking it the first time for both artists inside the top five. There's also two new top ten entries this week! And Taylor Swift is dethroned! Ke$ha snatches up her second number one with her latest single, "C_mon." It_s pretty odd that I went from Taylor Swift with "We Are Never Ever" to P!nk with "Blow Me," back to Taylor with "We Are Never Ever" again, to Ke$ha with "Die Young," to P!nk with "Try," to Taylor Swift with "I Knew You Were Trouble.," and now back to Ke$ha with "C_mon"! So, as you can see, there are three artists currently just ruling my charts. Wow! Ke$ha also sees a very strange resurgence with "Crazy Kids" as it jumps back from 19 to 14. Kelly Clarkson_s "Catch My Breath" once again sees another jump back into the top 5! It currently holds the record for most re-entries into the top five with a total of four entries into the top five! "Troublemaker" also re-enters the top five matching its previous peak of number five. "Just a Fool" also enters the top ten this week as its rockets from number 17 to number seven earning the biggest increase of the week title! Also reaching new peaks this week are "Daylight," "Girl on Fire," which jumps into the top 20, "Stay," which jumps ten spots in its second week, and "My Country, _Tis of Thee." Debuting this week at number 30 is the latest single from Carly Rae Jepsen, "Tonight I_m Getting Over You." She kicks out Tristan Prettyman_s "My Oh My." MKTO_s "Thank You" ended up only .2 points away from the chart and P!nk_s "Just Give Me a Reason" was only 1 point away from the chart. The next few weeks are going to be quite interesting, especially with all of those adds!
