Well, I did not see that coming! Paramore zooms up to take their first ever number one in the form of "Still Into You"! What's even crazier about that is it becomes the second biggest jump to number one as it vaults from six to one. The only other song to make a bigger jump to number one was the record holder for longest stay at number one, Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," which rocketed up from seven to one on its third week on the chart. Paramore knocks down Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It" to number two, and rounding out the top three, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis jump back up to their former peak of number three with "Can't Hold Us." Miley Cyrus also zooms up the chart to the top five with "We Can't Stop." Right below Miley, Ke$ha's "Crazy Kids" moves up four spots to number six finally outdoing its original peak of number nine as an album track. Icona Pop and Avril Lavigne take quite tumble falling to number seven and eight respectively, but it's an extremely competitive top ten right now. In fact, Anna Kendrick finally joins the ranks and jumps from 14 to nine with "Cups" for her first top ten entry. "Cups" largely benefits from me for some reason getting the urge to watch Pitch Perfect earlier this week. After watching, I decided to give it a try and learn to perform "Cups." I'm still a beginner at it, but I'm very shocked to see how quickly I've been able to pick it up. We'll see if that will translate into sending the song to number one or not. Kelly Clarkson's "People Like Us" also re-enters the top ten at number ten. These two songs kick out former number one hit, "Heart Attack," and Zedd and Foxes' "Clarity." Also reaching new peaks this week are Capital Cities' "Safe and Sound" at 14, Maroon 5's "Love Somebody" at 17, Serena Ryder's "Stompa" at 18, Carrie Underwood's "See You Again" at 19, Bruno Mars' "Treasure" at 20, Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" at 22, Demi Lovato's "Made in the USA" at 26, Ariana Grande's "The Way" at 27, Olly Murs' "Dance with Me Tonight" at 28, Calvin Harris' "I Need Your Love" at 31, and Jessie Ware's "Wildest Moments" at 34. The chart sees one lonely debut at number 37 in the form of Jessie J's "Wild," which also features Big Sean. "Wild" is Jessie J's second chart appearance after going down in history as the chart's first ever number one hit with "Domino." I'm actually not a fan of Ellie (sorry, @nightfire), I just really love "Lights," "Figure 8," and "I Need Your Love" grew on me. I really don't go checking for her. Her debut album had only, like, one other song I cared for ("Everytime You Go," maybe?). The second album I checked out maybe once and didn't care for anything on it until I heard "Figure 8" a few times and it eventually clicked.
