Did not like that 'Wonderwall' cover in the slightest. Those melody changes in the chorus... No. Sorry. However, upon hearing the HQ version of "Catch My Breath," I can't help but...

This is the second cover that I did not enjoy. I also did not the melody changes- it takes away from beautiful lyrics and message and was ultra-distracting for me.

She really should have stuck with the Oasis version. I only liked those parts of the cover.

I prefer Ryan's to Oasis's original and I think Kelly did a fantastic job fusing them together. Idk what its called but when she does that accent like she does on this cover and on No Doubts' Don't Speak, but I instantaneously start to melt whenever I hear it.

It's been forever since I've seen an update...but incase anyone else wonders and doesn't look at charts often like others
84 OUT Kelly Clarkson - Dark Side after 14 weeks on Hot 100 it falls out. The least amount of hot 100 weeks for a properly promoted single from Kelly since 2003's Low (excluding the TWLove). Shame.
Top 200 140 124 50 Stronger, Kelly Clarkson. It is selling around 2700-3000 copies a week and should be at All I ever wanted's total of 941,000 copies this week I believe. Worldwide this album is at an estimate close to 1.5 million or close to it. This is still far off from the 1.7 million estimated for All I ever wanted and the 2+million of My December.
Just an update.

Just an update. 1.5 million ww is FINE. Even if the #s are a 'bit' lower we all know this era was WAY more impactful far as hits, promotion, energy etc...Like you said shes gonna clearly beat AIEW #s in the U.S. which is key. Only thing you didnt provide was where Stronger stands now in total sales :). Sounds like you're just not sure so no worries. I'm with you and think shes around 940k. AIEW I think is between 944-949k. In the next few weeks that should be a done deal. Again, our only savior for her to at least get close to 1 million are holidays sales which is coming soon. Even though anything above 900k should be platinum (for shipments) which is why AIEW clearly shouldve been, I think Stronger was certified because it is still selling and w/ the holidays they prob. want to make sure theres adequate supply (also with year end countdowns- that's gonna also help drive up demand a bit for Stronger)

Do we have any clue as to whether she is going to change labels/styles once this album is delivered?
To be honest, since MD, her albums have sounded like "work" to me, not passion. I say that not because I prefer the MD style, I loved all three of her first albums, and I love dance-rock too. But her spark seems to be missing from her newer work, with a few exceptions (like Stronger the single, for example).
So I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to go country next album, or back to something more singer-songwriter. I don't know.

She has one more album to fulfill her contract with RCA. I think that's all we know. I've never heard her speak about what happens when her contract is up.

From last night's Manchester show, I LOVE the crowd's reaction and Kelly's reaction to the crowd after the big note in 'Because of You' at 2:33:
Kelly glammed up performing 'Stronger' in that dress from the pic on the last page. She's still putting all the adlibs in the chorus:

Shame really that Dark Side really killed the album / era. I really thought that single was one of the strongest mid tempos Kelly's ever recorded.

With all the excitement of the new album announcement I think we missed this great news... The Top 40 Pop Songs Artists 1992-2012, From No. 40 To No. 1by Gary Trust (@gthot20) | October 04, 2012 5:05 EDT The week of Oct. 3, 1992, Billboard premiered the Pop Songs radio airplay chart, as then-new Nielsen BDS-based monitoring technology allowed for unprecedented accuracy in gauging the biggest hits on mainstream top 40 radio. Twenty years later, we're celebrating the anniversary by counting down the top 40 artists on the Pop Songs chart over the past two decades. We're also mixing in memories from those working in the format, on both the radio and records sides. This week, Chart Beat is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart. I still crank it up when we play it on KIIS!" - Julie Pilat, assistant program director/music director, KIIS Los Angeles 36 HOOTIE & THE BLOWFISH 35 TLC 34 SHERYL CROW 33 NO DOUBT 32 BRUNO MARS 31 GOO GOO DOLLS "The Internet has changed everything about programming top 40. (I did that twice). My favorite thing about doing this job, though, hands down, is watching and helping people that I had invested in grow to their potential. We invited her to come on-stage at Z100's Jingle Ball to help introduce one of the acts performing at the show. We weren't sure if the crowd would be familiar with her by name, so we suggested that when she went out there, she should sing the hook of 'I Kissed a Girl' a capella. As soon as the crowd heard that, they sang every word along with her. Grammy Submissions KELLY CLARKSON Submissions: Album of the Year Pop Album Song of the Year/Record of the Year/Pop Solo: Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) Thanks for the info ! I will be shocked if she doesn't get nominated for for Pop Album and Pop Solo. I also would not be surprised it she gets nominated for one of the three big general categories (Song of the Year > Record of the Year >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Album of the Year). For those folks who enjoy vocal videos, I found this new one:

I think "Stronger" has a decent shot at a nomination for Record of the Year. I just hope that they do not give a nomination to Rihanna or Katy Perry in that category.

Is there a website like soundcloud where one can hear all of the love covers Kelly has done this tour? They seem to be generating a lot of buzz for her where people are following and anticipating what her cover song of the night will be. I'd like to makes playlist on my iPod with them all.

It's the sound check from the day of the concert, learning I'll Stand By You and working out the kinks. She really does learn the song the day of the concert and here's the proof. :) Love it! www.sendspace.com/file/8m5hcz

I'm not expecting anything outside of the Pop categories, if that. I think Kelly has built herself a lot of goodwill this year, but lest we forget, she really ruffled some industry feathers a few years back, and it remains to be seen whether the GRAMMY voters have warmed up to her again (I mean, how could they not?).

Wait? how did she ruffle feathers? Clive Davis stuff? I think the Grammy people love her, but since 2006 grammy awards her material just hasn't been strong enough for them compared to many other winners. I think My December was missed and its a shame but it may have been just not able to meet the standards that year. Also she has been nominated for her work with Reba, Jason and All I ever wanted so thats good. I'm surprise they didn't submit Mr know it all for country. She proved her self with country genre and with them...interesting.
Who knows with the grammy people and how the noms are determined. Stronger has been her most publicly promoted single of her career (with commercials, positive message in videos, ads and the cancer publicity). I would hope it earns a Record of the year spot. It's also Top 10 on radio and sales and prob hot 100 of the year!
