'KNEW' NO. 1: Timberlake doesn't have a lock on the week's airplay chart headlines, as Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble." lifts 3-1 on Pop Songs. The song marks her second leader on the list, following "Love Story," which topped the Feb. 28, 2009, tally.

As it tops Pop Songs, "Trouble" bounds 11-5 to become Swift's sixth top 10 on Adult Pop Songs and debuts at No. 29 on Adult Contemporary.

"Trouble" ranked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 last week with the chart's top Airplay Gainer award for a second consecutive week. It rose as high as No. 2 on the chart two weeks earlier.

Yes. Mid/late March sounds fine to me as well.

"22" will be her third UK (and, posibly, international) single, but I really hope she releases "Red" instead in the US. I think "22" will smash harder on Summer than Spring and also, I don't think three straight pop singles would be a good idea because of monotony. "Red" could be a great crossover; it has appeal on Country and Pop whereas "22" would do great only on Pop. If she plans to release this, I think her label should send "All Too Well" or "Treacherous" to Country.

What sucks is that if it were available for streaming, it would most likely be #1 on the Hot 100. But now it will just have go into the category of "HUGE songs that peaked at #2." All along they are right there, and w/ the old formula she would've hit #1 at the release date during the countdown to Red. I'm still having trouble accepting that this won't go #1, all for that reason. It's just not right. THIS IS A #1 SMASH! I'm really glad it got #1 on pop, but it's so much more.
(I'll accept it eventually, but I'm still having troubles coping! lol)

Hopefully if she doesn't break it this week, she'll continue to get small gains through next week and break it then. This is so close to breaking the record! Your eyes are wrong. SPS and spin records make no sense if you can just make up their date willy nilly. It's unfair, IMO. And if we went by that, Katy actually broke her own record with "Last Friday Night." ;)
