This has almost no shot at #1 on the Hot 100 imo, unless she does promo. She only has: Upcoming events..... January 23/24 - Madrid. Taping an episode of "El Homiguero" and attending "Los Premios 40 Principales", some awards show. January 26-28 - France. Performing at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes on the 26th and performing at a private concert for NRJ in Paris on the 28th. February 10 - LA.
Performing at the Grammys.February 20 - London. Attending the BRIT Awards; she's nominated for International Female. March 13 - Tour stars in Omaha.

And something tells me she won't even be performing IKYWT at the Grammy's. Blah.

If she performs there that will help a lot, but she performs weird songs at big events. That's definitely what she needs to get #1, though.

I have Audacity, but it doesn't let you open an mp4 file. At least, it's never let me do it before. You have to record the song while it's playing. Also, mine isn't able to export as mp3. I can export a WAV and then convert it to mp3 by some online converter, but I'd much rather just turn up the volume a bit when it comes on. Much less of a hassle to me. You can convert the song to MP3 in iTunes, and to export MP3's in Audacity I think you need to download LAME.

I keep forgetting to ask, but is anyone else's audio on this song oddly low? It's quieter than every other song I have on iTunes, maybe even quieter than the two other songs I bought from the album (but not sure). My bf and friend who bought it have said the same thing. It's a small complaint, but annoying because I have to turn up my speakers or headphones for just this song every time. OMG, yes!!! I thought it was just me, but the audio on the entire album sans WANEGBT seems oddly more quiet than the normal audio file from iTunes. Yes! I thought I had a bad copy but I checked the iTunes preview and official video, and they were just as quiet. I just went through my iTunes Library to find all the LQ/quiet songs, and this is the only one where I couldn't find a better version anywhere. :'(

When a song is as huge as this is does it really matter if it misses the #1 on the Hot 100? It's obvious that chart/labels techniques are what keeping this from topping it. It'd be different if it was available for streaming but still missed the top spot. Of course I would be pissed if this happened to my favorite artist but whatever. Although I still believe that her label will make this available in the coming weeks and will get its 1-week stay at the summit.
And btw can a song debut atop/top 10 the streaming chart or does it work in the same way as the radio chart where a song needs to build in order to crack the top tier? Then again when huge releases like JT's latest happen it soars from its 1st week on the airplay chart so I was wondering whether this can happen in the streaming chart as well since this will be 'new' whenever and if it is available.

It is already pretty much a given Taylor will perform "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" at the Grammys since it is nominated for Record Of The Year.
The only place I see Taylor maybe performing IKYWT is the NRJ Music Awards in France.
As a fan of Taylor,I understand the fact she is a albums artist more than a singles artist. The song has already sold a bulk of downloads already on Itunes. It may not hit #1 on the BBHot100 but having it at least go #1 on CHR/Pop will make me happy.

Maybe she'll do a "Trouble/Getting Back Together" medley at the Grammy's.

Yeah, I think it'll probably be some sort of medley. Which terrifies me..

^Slizzard doesn't know how to properly format and missed a song.
Love Story #1 You Belong with Me #1 We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together #2 I Knew You Were Trouble. #2 (will be #1 for published update come 01/27) Teardrops On My Guitar #7 Two Is Better Than One #7 Mine #11 Fifteen #12 Back to December #12 Our Song #19 Today Was a Fairytale #19 Eyes Open #20 The Story of Us #21 Half of My Heart #22 Both of Us #22
They weren't released to pop, but I'm pretty sure "Picture to Burn" also got into the mid-60s and "Should've Said No" got into the mid 80s. Some others that may have made the top 100 include "Mean," "Sparks Fly," "Ours," and "Safe & Sound," but I can't be sure about them. I seem to remember "Mean" getting into the top 100, but I don't remember the other three doing so. But I definitely remember "Picture to Burn" and "Should've Said No" doing so.

Oh and 'Two is Better than One'!
I want to say S&S cracked Top 60? Top 70? A few stations were playing it until the inferior EO came out and pop radio swarmed. Eh.
