#19. Unfaithful (A Girl Like Me) (Single #15) Now we enter the top 20, the mid-way point of the countdown. I'm glad not to disappoint Franklin and WotUNeed with this one. :) This song has a great beginning. The piano comes on, then the violins. It's great. Then Rihanna and just the piano, and she sounds great here. This song got blocked from the top in so many countries and charts, but it still was a great hit. Amazing song. Another great song with a great story/lyrics. I do appreciate songs like this from Rihanna. However, I love her ratchet songs just as much, if not more, so idk. She needs a few per album, though. Which she usually does. :) Oh and I hate the censoring of the word "gun."

#18. Wait Your Turn (Rated R) ( Single #14) Oop I don't think this was a real single. It charted decently in a few countries but never was sent to radio or anything. Wikipedia lied to me and it's my fault for not double-checking. Oh but it has a video so idk. And an official single cover. This is one of many examples why I looove this album. This song, along with the whole album, is so gritty, so dark, so amazing. It's a shame it was one of her least successful albums, because it's definitely one of her best. The next two songs are from Rated R. First a single, then an album track. Then the final 15 I still need to order... But it has 2 more from the album, so 4 more songs total. :)

Good song, I like your countdown, but... Disturbia that low? It may not be that special for you. But please, I'm dead at Take A Bow being higher. I like it too, beautiful, etc. but it's the most meaningless hit ballad ever. Different tastes. Only Girl just #21? Oh, no that's great! I wonder what will be in the top 10 of yours then. ;)

Looking at my top 15 (it's not in order yet, just the best 15): some ratchety goodness, some amazing dance songs, some urban hits, at least one flop, some of her signature hits, one feature (no hints as to which one), and some random songs I love. Most likely not a typical top 40 songs by Rihanna at all.

"Unfaithful" is perfect! One of my favorite Rihanna songs!!
"Wait Your Turn" is really good too! Glad you like it and Rated R. It's an amazing album!
I hope "Russian Roulette" is next! I want it to be in the top 10! :'( lol

#17. Te Amo (Rated R) (Single #13) This is a great song. It's a shame it wasn't released in the US, because it was top 10 in several countries, and could have boosted the overall era in the US. Such a random topic for a song, though...

#16. G4L (Rated R) (Album track #3) One of the highlights from the album, imo. Definitely amazing, shows off perfectly the dark, gritty theme of the album. Probably would have flopped as a single so best to stay an album track. So I still have a bunch of crap to do and don't have top top 15 ordered. This might go through a temporary hiatus unless I work on it a bit today...

#15. Raining Men (feat. Nicki Minaj) (Loud) (Single #12) I never knew this was a single. Apparently it was sent to Urban but barely cracked top 50 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs so it's safe to say it flopped. Regardless, I really like this song. Most people don't (look for that to happen several more times still ) but idgaftbh. Nicki kills it, as she almost always does in her features, and Rihanna is great. Great vocal delivery, great production, etc. The next 4 songs are all singles. (I don't have the top 10 ordered for sure yet.) :)

#14. Talk That Talk (Talk That Talk) (Single #11) Ew at this being censored but it's the official yt audio so. Plus I'm sure you've all heard this before. I was one of those who thought this song would smash. Unfortunately terribly wrong. :'( Cake came along and ruined its chances, plus WFL was still pretty big. Such a sad story for this song :'( Regardless, still one of my faves from the album. Great feature, great production, nice and urbany idk. Oh and that breakdown/complete change at 2:00 to 2:30 general area >> >.

#13. Where Have You Been (Talk That Talk) (Single #10) Such a great song to end this era. Too bad I was pretty burned out on the song before it got big. Curse you for not being a single for the longest time. :'( (I'm not gonna compare it to the similar "We Found Love," because I don't want to give anything away for the rest of the countdown. ) This is just a great dance song, though. Calvin Harris did great on the production. The beginning is great, starting out just Rihanna and a tiny production, then it gradually picks up as Rihanna continues, then harmonies and background vocals pick up as well. Just amazing. I love the concept and most of the video. Some parts are terrible, like Rihanna isn't a great dancer, and the pussy pat tho... lmao I wish this would have performed better, but oh well. She got enough success for the era with "We Found Love," I guess.

#12. Man Down (Loud) (Single #9) This song has a lot of reggae/island vibes, whatever you want to call it. Rihanna doesn't do much of that anymore, so it's always a nice change when she does, and it makes this song great. Darker lyrics for this era, but still great. It did well for being rhythmic/urban only, making #9 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It also performed pretty well worldwide. This is actually the last song from this album! :O It's the first album to be finished, which definitely surprised me.

#11. Pon de Replay (Music of the Sun) (Single #8) The song that started it all. Certified smash, etc. Amazing song, still sounds great after all these years and albums, and definitely the best song from the album... Songs left:Singles: 7 (of 25) Album tracks: 2 (of 13) Features: 1 (of 2) Music of the Sun: 0 (of 1) A Girl Like Me: 1 (of 4) Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded: 3 (of 8) Rated R: 2 (of 7) Loud: 0 (of 6) Talk That Talk: 2 (of 5) Unapologetic: 1 (of 7)

#10. Umbrella (Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded) (Single #7) One of Rihanna's biggest hits, if not her biggest. #1 in so many countries, so many charts, so amazing. Amazing song, one that definitely helped to solidify her as one of the biggest pop stars of the time, and still now, almost 6 full years later. :O 2 songs left from this album. :)

#9. Don't Stop the Music (Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded) (Single #6) I think this is Slizzard's favorite, or at least one of his favorites. Totally understand why. So infectious, it just makes you want to dance and not stop the music. It was a huge hit across the world, top 10 in a bunch of countries. US flop though only making it to #3 on Hot 100 and pop. Just another amazing example of the amazingness that is this album. 1 song left from this album. Any guesses?

I was expecting my top 10 to be full of songs that everyone hates (that's how it always feel), but there are actually several "typical" Rihanna fan favorites. :) I was expecting Umbrella to be #1 :) It's good but not that good, imo. :)

#8. Birthday Cake (Remix) (feat. Chris Brown) (Talk That Talk) (Single #5) The bastard child of the Talk That Talk era. Doesn't mean I hate it, though. An urban smash, did well on rhythmic, and made top 40 (or close to it) on pop. :) I still believe I would like a solo full version better than with Chris, but I've grown to absolutely love it with Chris. Not here for the two of them, but no denying they made an absolutely ratchet jam. Truly deserving to be in her top 5 singles. 1 song left from this album as well. Any guesses?

#7. SOS (A Girl Like Me) (Single #4) When you hear that "lalala lalala lalalalala oh, oh oh" come on it's just like JAM. Totally a smash in the US, #1 pop, hot 100, clubs. Also #1 in several other countries, but not nearly as many as some of her bigger hits. Still a huge hit, though, and definitely one of her better known hits. It's just so infectious, fun to dance to, etc. This is the last song from this album. The feature is up tomorrow. Any guesses?
