20-14 bar CHU = amazing I like CHU anyway though. I really like seeing your chart runs like this :) I remember FTL having a lot of longevity and several rebounds around there, but not to that extent. Its ascent to #1 for me was 12 10 12 9 10 11 7 1, also a few rebounds in there I did not remember Gone, Gone, Gone climbing that slowly :o I don't think I could ever have a run like that today. The closest I've had would be Sweater Weather, but that only peaked in its 16th week and had over twice as many spots to climb through. DIWK also had a 1-1-1-2-3-3-2 in its run for me. ok that's enough of my chart, it's your thread after all Top 10 preds: 1. Get Lucky 2. Another Love 3. Clarity 4. Royals 5. Holdin On 6. I Love It 7. Counting Stars 8. Thinking About You 9. If I Lose Myself 10. Perfect Replacement

{Comments} #10: Alesso vs. OneRepublic – "If I Lose Myself" (Alesso vs. OneRepublic Remix) "If I Lose Myself" was released as the official first single (second overall) from OneRepublic's third album Native, after the previous one, "Feel Again", didn't have an expected success. The original version is so good when I gave it a try, but when Alesso uploaded a snippet from his remix two months later after the release of the former, I was slayed. Those 2:28 minutes were the most beautiful thing I've ever listened to and I was waiting for its release a month later, which made to replace it with the former. Obviously, the extended version of the remix is so much better than the radio edit in my opinion and it's a shame that the US radio paid dust to it. Side note: The first 11 weeks chart run is from the album version of the song, while the following 11 weeks chart run is from the Alesso vs. One Republic remix. The latter got more points, so it appears here. You can listen to/watch the video of the album version here. #9: Calvin Harris f/ Ayah Marar– "Thinking About You"When it was announced that Ayah Marar will be appearing on Calvin Harris' third album 18 Months, I got excited because both of them have a great chemistry. Not surprisingly, they met 10 years ago. So, when the album was released, my excitement was bigger because it reminded a lot of Calvin Harris' previous stuff, most notably on Ready for the Weekend. Being said that, I was only waiting to become a single and, happily, it happened. However, there was a letdown: The music video. It's not as bad as "Drinking from the Bottle" but I really like Vincent Haycock's work and the way he has done some great/weird stuff to Calvin. This is the last appearance from Calvin Harris and Ayah Marar. #8: Example – "Perfect Replacement"I really like Example's stuff and The Evolution of Man is a good one. "Perfect Replacement" was released as the third single from that album and the video came out the last day of 2012 (EST), which it's great and weird at the same time. It's an EDM track with some synths elements of rave and house. This is the last entry from Example. #7: OneRepublic – "Counting Stars""Counting Stars" is the third overall single from OneRepublic's third album Native. It's a pop song with some elements of folk, which became one of the most successful singles of the band. Personally, the song delayed to grow on me (presumably because of "If I Lose Myself"), but it's really awesome every time I listen to it nowadays. This is the last entry of OneRepublic and, as you could see, they were the only ones to have two songs inside the Top 10. #6: Lorde – "Royals""Royals" was a breakout hit for Lorde no matter what people say. I remember I gave a try to it after it was atop on Slizzard's personal chart for two weeks in mid April, but it didn't grow on me until June with the release of "Tennis Court" and I listened to The Love Club – EP. Sounds weird, right? Anyway, the minimal production on it is awesome. This is the last entry from Lorde.
Assuming icantthinkofaname gave a prediction instead of placing the songs, he and Slizzard correctly predicted "Counting Stars" at #7! Both of them got 4 out 5 in this batch, while Zebra. got only 2. Not bad of course. The rest of the songs will be unveiled later today.

Great placings for Royals and Counting Stars :) I don't love Thinking About You nearly as much as those, but it's my favourite 2013 Calvin song so I'm glad it placed highest!
Did you switch from the original IILM to the remix at some point in its run (I'd guess when it jumped to #3)? I think you did but I might be thinking of someone else.

I made the switch when it jumped to #3. However, I made that explanation on the comments section from this batch. Seems no one is reading them :'( (with the exception of Nick, who made a shoutout to them). Anyway, I can forgive you because the previous two sets of songs are still TBA I wasn't making a prediction lol The order was 100% random I was just stating the top 10 That's the reason I put assuming because I was kind of sure you're placing the songs. Anyway, your randomness was good though PS. Thank you for taking away the certs.
You could still post your predictions if you want ;)

Thank you so much again!
{Comments} #5: Icona Pop f/ Charli XCX – "I Love It""I Love It" is amazing. I think this is one of the songs that you can say (literally) "F*ck off" to anyone honestly. I remember listen to a snippet of it after watching one of the videos that Slizzard made for his personal chart and I, simply, loved it. The EDM track, with synthpop elements, is so hard, which makes people to dance with it and I really like Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo vocals. The song is featured by Charli XCX (real name: Charlotte Aitchison), who wrote it, but she doesn't sing on it. This is the last entry from Icona Pop and the only appearance from Charli XCX. Side note: On the difference between XCX's original version and their own version, Caroline Hjelt from the duo told NME magazine the following: "The original was more cute, in a way. Charli's vocal was really cool and cocky, but we wanted the track to sound more Icona Pop so we took it to another producer called Style Of Eye. He made it exactly how we wanted it to sound." Hope the Charli XCX version will leak soon. #4: Daft Punk f/ Pharrell Williams – "Get Lucky"When it was announced that Daft Punk were planning a comeback, I really got excited. However, I still don't know why because I haven't been a fan of them. Being said that, I think the promotion behind the project was the reason that I got into them, so does "Get Lucky" came out. It's a disco track, with some funk elements, which it's something fresh to be honest. It features Pharrell Williams and his vocals are really good. This is the only appearance from Daft Punk and the last from Pharrell Williams. Side note: "Get Lucky" is the song which spent the most weeks atop, being five weeks there. #3: Zedd f/ Foxes – "Clarity"I remember I didn't know anything about Zedd (real name: Anton Zaslavski) until I saw Austin began to stan for "Spectrum" in the CHR/Pop forum. When I listened to that song, I liked it because of the production, but it wasn't until I read this article from Dancing Astronaut the day Clarity came out when I began to get into him. I mean, I listened to the album and I got stoked. It's wonderful and this was definitely the best EDM album that was released in 2012 for me. (Sorry Calvin. You know I stan for you, but Clarity is so much better than 18 Months tbh.) Anyway, back on topic, one of the songs that I got into was the title track and when it was announced as a single, it was so fantastic. Best news ever! It features vocals from Foxes and it became a major hit from him. Well deserved. This is the last entry from Zedd and Foxes.
If I consider the previous guesses from Slizzard and Zebra. and the new one made by icantthinkofaname, I could say that the latter successfully predicted "I Love It" at #5 and the former, "Clarity" at #3. Sadly, this is coming to an end :( There's still two remaining spots and they are from an Australian EDM act and a British indie pop/folk act. Personally, I wouldn't have expected this to happen. Honestly. Anyway, they are Flume and Tom Odell and both of them have success with "Holdin On" and "Another Love", respectively, in their native countries, but the latter had some more in other European countries. Coincidentally, none of them have cracked the US market, which it's really a shame. Despite of that, "Another Love" was sent to Triple A radios without some sort of success. However, both songs are up against each other for my year-end countdown. Which track will be atop? We'll find out in a couple of hours

Wow this went so fast, I only got to comment once so far Just letting you know I have been following and it's still a great list! Hopefully "Another Love" is #1! But I like "Holdin' On" too, so I wouldn't be disappointed with that. Like with everyone else's chart, I'll comment in more depth when I get more time :) ETA: I predict AL for #1

I didn't know/remember I introduced you to "I Love It"! Really awesome to have that and "Get Lucky" in the top 5 I definitely did not expect the top 2 turnout :o I'm rooting for "Another Love" of course, but Flume would be great too Oh and I predict "Another Love".

*drum roll please*
{Comments} #2: Tom Odell – "Another Love"I found out this song thanks to Daniel from ATRL. He's a fan of Calvin Harris, Example and Ashlee Simpson and he also has his personal chart there. I hope he would join to Pulse when he reads it though. It would be awesome to have him here. I remember it was around mid March that I gave a try to this track when it was On Deck on his personal chart and I fell in love immediately with it. As most of you know, I'm not so into slow songs, but this made me to change all. However, there was a (tiny) problem. "Another Love" was released in late 2012 from his Songs from Another Love – EP and he was promoting his new single "Hold Me" at that time. I listened to the latter, but I couldn't get into that, so I decided to chart the former with the possibility to include "Hold Me" at some point on my personal chart. Obviously, this didn't happen because “Another Love" was re-released in the UK, making to scrap that plan. Yay! :) As a consequence, it began to have a good longevity and it spent 30 weeks on my personal chart, tying with "Gone, Gone, Gone" as the song with most weeks there. This is the only entry from Tom Odell. #1: Flume – "Holdin On"Obviously, this song has its own story with a member of Pulse: Slizzard. On early March, I remember I was watching one of the videos he used to do for his weekly chart when "Don't You Worry Child" came out with the single cover. He had been doing that for a long time, so I assumed it was because of the live footage and he didn't want to include them. However, I saw that he included some live footage from "Holdin On" (an unknown song by an unknown artist from me at that time) on the video, so I asked him the reason and he replied to me: "I'm doing that because the "Don't You Worry Child" video includes live audio and I want the video to include the official studio audio. The "Holdin On" video uses the official studio version even though it's made up of some concert footage". I was like, ok. He has his own reasons for that. However, there was something about "Holdin On" that intrigued me and I gave it a couple of more listens until I was hooked. The production is so minimalistic and it's a drum-driven, sample laced track with down tempo chords and soulful vocals. It samples "I Can't Turn You Loose" by Anthony White and I can say that Flume (real name: Harley Edward Streten) is a f*cking genius. This is the last entry from Flume.
Sorry guys. I wasn't expecting most all of you were rooting for Tom Odell, but he lost against Flume. It was so close. I mean, only 23 points! If his song had spent one more week, it would have been #1. Both songs spent a week atop in July and, despite "Another Love" was two more weeks than "Holdin On" on my weekly chart, it seems that the latter was benefited with the weeks inside the Top 10 and, mainly, in the Top 3. PS. Josh: You can listen to both songs, if you click on the Sol Republic Master Tracks XC headphones Studio Tuned by Calvin Harris icon I can only say that it was pleasure doing this countdown with y'all ^_^ Being said that: • Thank you Elle and J**** (aka. Landmarx) for the likes. • Thank you Josh, Nick, James (aka. Invincible), Zebra. and Alen for the likes and comments. • Thank you Nahman and Slizzard for the comments. • Thank you Slizzard, Zebra., icantthinkofaname and Nick for your predictions.
Last but not least, this is the obnoxiously quote & reply for the previous comments (some of) you did. {Quote & Reply} And yes at the tablet placement hate I know. I think the role of Avril Lavigne is a ghost, so how on earth she can use a tablet? It was absurd. Go Sony!
"Underwater": Just recently listened to this for the first time, it is the first song I have heard from him now outside of "Popular Song" & I like it, this is definitely a song that would chart on my personal chart if it were newer. YES! Glad you like it I know Mika is not so popular in the US, but I hope he could get another hit there. "Demons": I'm a little shocked this wasn't higher on your chart, but nonetheless good to see it crack your countdown, it is my favorite Imagine Dragons single because of how catchy & repetitive it is. I think I explained the reason of it in the comments section, but it's growing on me (again), so I think it could have another chance :) "Tessellate": This song is ok, but I haven't given it much of a chance to crack that barrier considering I've only listened to it twice that I can remember of. O. Glad you tried it though~ "It's Time": It's hard to not love one of their singles, I am glad to see this also had success, I love the beat to it because it sounds so good for a mainstream song with how different it is, kinda like "Timber". Yeah! You're right. The alternative folk vibe is not attached to mainstream, I think. Also, it was the first Imagine Dragons track I listened to and I wasn't into the folk sound early this year. "You & Me" (Flume Remix): Nice remix of a decent song, I like this version better than any other of that song. :) Yay! Go Flume! :) "Let Me Go": Didn't catch onto this at first, it took me a little bit, but now I like it. Good to see that! "Drinking from the Bottle": Not sure how long it has been since this has been released, but I still get it stuck in my head quite often & that's how catchy this song is. I love it. I have to admit that this is catchy as hell, despite it's not one my favorite tracks from 18 Months. Anyway, glad to know you like this Calvin Harris track :) "A Light That Never Comes": I've really started to love this song lately, it's extremely catchy & another repetitive song on your year-end chart, just goes to show how great & repetitive this chart is. ;) LOL! Good to know you like it and the use of repetitive here. "Hey Now": I've heard this 10 or so times, but I can't really say I like it, when I hear it I like it, but it has no repetitiveness to me. As you can probably tell by now, repetitiveness is key in whether or not I like a song. O. Good to know you tried it though~ "Do What U Want": Is it possible not to like this song? I think it's not "Catch My Breath": I really don't care for this song, it's too typical for me & this is definitely one of my least favorite songs from her. Sad to know about that "22": I really liked this at first, but not really anymore, it got rather annoying to me quickly, so it's repetitiveness to me is not very high. I still like it, but I'm not listen to it much often "Hearts": I heard this for the first time a couple months ago or so via your personal chart & I've given it more listens since & I have to admit, it's repetitive & I really like the chorus line. Yay! It definitely was a couple of months ago. Good you like it! "Of the Night": I haven't listened to this for a couple weeks or so, but that isn't because I don't love it, in fact I do but I just haven't had it on my playlist. I'll have to give it more listens so I can give it a true rating. :) I really hope it could grow on you ;) That should cover the ones I know, I'm looking forward to seeing #80-71 soon. :) I'm still waiting Just kidding TY for the comments!
I haven't posted anything yet because I think you know which songs I like (which is most), but this is great to watch so far
I really like seeing your chart runs like this :) TY! :) I did not remember Gone, Gone, Gone climbing that slowly :o I don't think I could ever have a run like that today. The closest I've had would be Sweater Weather, but that only peaked in its 16th week and had over twice as many spots to climb through. Yeah! "Gone, Gone, Gone" has the one of the weirdest chart run ever! It climbed so slowly, but I never got tired of it. Well, actually, I think when it began to fall PS. I sucked at acronyms. What song are you talking about when you said DIWK? I know that when you replied the answer to me, I was going to
I don't love Thinking About You nearly as much as those, but it's my favourite 2013 Calvin song so I'm glad it placed highest! Yeah! I'm so glad too. Team Calvin/Ayah FTW!
Wow this went so fast, I only got to comment once so far Just letting you know I have been following and it's still a great list! I know that! (I'm talking about how fast I did the YE Chart). TY Nick for the latter! Like with everyone else's chart, I'll comment in more depth when I get more time :) Don't worry about it. I understand because of your YE Chart. I'll be waiting for them anyway.
I didn't know/remember I introduced you to "I Love It"! You didn't. Your videos did. As a consequence, I think you (indirectly) introduced me to "I Love It". I definitely did not expect the top 2 turnout :o I think no one was expecting that. I mean, "Get Lucky" was atop for five weeks and I think it was the most obvious choice, but it got at #4 because of longevity. It has the second least in the Top 10 as well.

PS. I sucked at acronyms. What song are you talking about when you said DIWK? I know that when you replied the answer to me, I was going to "Do I Wanna Know?" Well yeah, still me ;)
Flume :o Even knowing he was in the top 2, I really did not expect that! Very close points. Despite preferring Tom Odell's song for sure, I think I might actually prefer this at #1 because "Holdin On" is really something different and it's cool to have something like that win out. Also I like that the song I impacted is #1 ;) Ironic because it's not coming near my EOY, lol. Though I think it's aged better than "On Top" for me. Also, "Another Love" is the only non-dance song in the top 5 :o And also also, this was awesome

You never seem to fail to prove to me how dedicated you are, you will definitely be one of my favorites to win 2014 Most Dedicated Poster for sure. :) another love zzzzzzz holdin on is ok Sad to know that about "Another Love". At least, you gave a try to both PS. I sucked at acronyms. What song are you talking about when you said DIWK? I know that when you replied the answer to me, I was going to "Do I Wanna Know?" Told you! Also, "Another Love" is the only non-dance song in the top 5 :o Thanks to point out that. Still a great achievement! PS. If anyone is still interested, the missing comments batch are up. Yay! Go late me!

I just listened to your #1 for the first time, not bad! I'm so glad Tom Odell is #2 Get Lucky, I Love It, Royals in the top 10! I'm so glad Example is top 10! Perfect Replacement is an amazing song, but I prefer ATWP. Thinking About You is amazing too, but the music video was a big disappointment (not as big as the Drinking From The Bottle music video disappointment though). Counting Stars, my favorite songs from them. Apart from the top 10 I love Burn, Work Bitch, Feel The Love, Blurred Lines!!, Can't Hold Us, Animals, Attracting Flies, Latch (I discovered this song way too late :(), White Noise, All The Wrong Places (of course), I Need Your Love, Under Control (lol that was the set of Calvin Harris, Sonnentanz, Carried Away, The Neighbourhood, Let Her Go, Acapella, I Could Be The One (of course!!), Need U 100%, Sail, Harlem (that I discovered just a few weeks ago :().... Amazing musical taste! btw... podemos hablar español? xD

From the "Another Love" comment: So, it happened. Yay! Welcome to Pulse, Daniel Regarding your comments:• Glad you like "Holdin On". • So good to see that you like to see Example atop, despite it was with "Perfect Replacement". • I agree with you on the "Thinking About You" music video. It was a disappointment, but not as bad as the "Drinking from the Bottle" music video. However, I was waiting a scene between Calvin and Ayah on the former. I mean, was it hard to do it? • Do you love "Burn"? :o • I also found out "Latch" very late, but it's too good that I couldn't resist to chart it. Poor "You & Me" though. Thank you! btw... podemos hablar español? xD Creo que sí, pero déjame consultar de todas maneras.
