^What's there to presume, the info speaks for itself. ;)
"Die Young" still has a lot of airplay- guess not all radio stations felt it needed to be dropped.

This usually happens. The recurrents are played as much as they were a few days ago, so their increases aren't really there, but they don't majorly decrease yet because their big play days is still within the last seven days. Current songs don't see huge increases yet because they were played similarly to their amounts of last week at this time. Give it a day or two. The +5 millions will return. ;)

ZBB will probably make a big jump on Hot 100 next week, perhaps a new peak (I think the current is #48).

SMH, RCA really should have sent GOF to CHR/HAC at the same time they sent it to urban/rhythmic. It would have almost definitely been a top 10 hit.

C'Mon rises quickly, Taylor heading for #1, Thrift Shop new digital sensation, here's a report of hot music this week:
The week starts with slow updates, but C'Mon and 'I Knew You Were Trouble' still are moving quickly. Ke$ha's second single makes quick progress and already cracked 28 M in 3 weeks. But, it's still not charted in the iTunes top 100, even while it's already released for digital downloads a long time ago.
So far, Ke$ha is heading towards a radio hit, but because sales might come when the airplay is slowing down, will the succes be less than what it could possibly be? Here are the current global statics for Ke$ha on iTunes for C'Mon:
#49 New Zealand #80 Dominican Republic #149 Australia #158 United States #214 Canada #348 Ireland
Another quickly rising song this week was 'Thrift Shop'. A few hours ago, it went #3 on iTUnes and it looks like it won't take long before reaching #2. The reason why Thrift Shop isn't top 5 on the Hot 100 year is it's airplay. With just under 40 M of airplay, it's not enough to get a top 5 hit. However, Macklemore is rising very much on the daily updates of airplay, so airplay probably will catch up in a few weeks. What do you guys think? Will Thrift Shop reach the top 5 or will it be blocked by it's airplay and the other songs?
The biggest change for a possible #1 on the Hot 100, is Taylor with 'I Knew You Were Trouble. it's #1 on iTunes and has almost cracked 100 M on airplay. Both on airplay and sales, it's still massively rising. If Taylor keeps rising with + 1.000 airplay updates. It will eb almost sure that she will hit #1 and stay there for a couple weeks.
Other possible future hits? I made a list with songs that I think will become big in the coming weeks/months:
Imagine Dragons - Radioactive Of Monsters And Men - Little Talks Pitbull ft. Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko - Stay

Taylor has zero points from streaming so that is hurting her overall chances.

The last Hot 100 article said that Bruno Mars was still separated from Taylor by 10,000 points because of her lack of streaming points. Even though Taylor sold 150,000 more digital copies than Bruno, the fact that she was still behind by 10,000 points should tell you something. With no streaming component she has absolutely zero chance of overtaking Bruno any time soon. Bruno is still way ahead of her with at least 100mil AirPlay impressions and by the time she reaches the same peak and/or overtakes him on hat component, she would still need to outsell him by 250K digital copies in one week which still wouldn't happen weeks down the road, much less a month or so when their airplay matches (he drops, she rises). Fine, her label doesn't want to stream RED yet, but they're being very foolish by at least not streaming the single.
In fact I will be very interested to see what single could ever top the current Hot 100 format with 0 streaming points.

Didn't "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" top the Hot 100 with no streaming points?

Even though Taylor sold 150,000 more digital copies than Bruno o.O Nope. She was predicted to sell 150K more than him. But in the end she sold only 85k more. She still needs to sell way more than him to have a chance. Now, when sales are slowing down it'll be really hard to do. Yes, he's slowing down in sales a bit... BUT: - He does promo on Jimmy Kimmel Show tomorrow. - He still has around 1 million streams. - He still has like +100M AI more than her. At this point, she NEEDS streaming.

Okay well the fact still stands that even with 85K between them they were still separated by 10000 chart points. I mean honestly, how does she expect to close that gap with no streaming? She can forget about #1 even if she outsold Bruno by 200K copies.

The good thing, though, is that last week, she most likely would not have been number one even with her streaming included. He was at #2, while she most likely would be just outside the top 5 or just inside it. Not enough to pass him in overall points. However, in the coming weeks, streaming for her may have been the deciding factor to put her at #1.

For the old rules, we said 1 million audience = 1 point, and 1,000 sales = 1 point. Billboard always said that was really 1,000 points right? Maybe it was 100? So my point is I doubt they suddenly changed the number of points, so 10,000 points isn't going to be as much as you guys think, especially if that's equivalent to just 10 points of what we would think of.

Record companies arent in the business of airplay. They are in the business of sales. Airplay is just a means to an end if they can get it.

For the old rules, we said 1 million audience = 1 point, and 1,000 sales = 1 point. Billboard always said that was really 1,000 points right? Maybe it was 100? So my point is I doubt they suddenly changed the number of points, so 10,000 points isn't going to be as much as you guys think, especially if that's equivalent to just 10 points of what we would think of. they lowered the sales component....which I think is a mistake its the most accurate measure of popularity. Record companies arent in the business of airplay. They are in the business of sales. Airplay is just a means to an end if they can get it. They raised airplay (which was stupid) and added in streaming. Sales wasn't lowered, but it seems like it was because of the other two changing.

My point was 10,000 points in Billboard terms really isn't THAT huge of a difference, is it?
