Unfortunately I don't like You're Mine as much as I hoped I would. #Beautiful and TAOLG were instant to me but this one sounds like an unreleased demo from TEOM. Still wishing for a hit though cause it's not a bad song at all.

She said she will be performing in her home for the charity. Singing on top of that Marilyn Monroe Baby Grand Piano dahling. No she said on one interview (Z100 maybe) that she was gonna be at the ESB. |

I was going to say...inactive posters start coming out of the woodwork everytime she releases something to say the same old thing.
I'm glad most people enjoy the song. I just hope she has another single on the album down the road that pretty much everyone can love. I guess my expectations were so low after TAOLG that anything with a pretty melody was bound to restore my faith in her ability to write a song.

Is there still hope for the song to stabilize or rise again? It'd be kind of depressing if just continued to drop and never goes near its peak again. Hopefully this catches fire at radio.

I honesty don't know what you guys are hearing AND seeing lol.
This sounds NOTHING like WBT. The theme is similar. It's a love song. Everything else is different.
The video is beautiful. Tho I do think that they are too many of the same shots.
I've seen worse of other pop stars.
Mariah should have kept her idol weight and looks less puffy maybe that would make the video better because apparently she's too old and fat to be a nymph.

Their remixes were great.
Anyway, I agree that she needs to STOP releasing Mid tempos and ballads.
They hardly do anything these days.

She never learned. She should have released a hot uptempo ala migrate. Maybe that hitboy track Thirsty should have been a better single choice. I am not positive this will take off. Its iTunes performance will likely discourage radio from playing this

I don't think the person should be dragged for saying Mariah is done. What 40 year old woman is scoring commercial hits like that? I mean, he could have said it differently but it definitely wasn't a reach.

The song is good. It's not incredible, but it's good. The video is...competent. It could have been much better. But it's Mariah. Her last real video, for me was Obsessed. It was an actual video worth watching. She looks like a girl pretending to be a pop star at times in this video. As opposed to a legendary songstress returning to the scene. Mariah just needs an actual manager who won't give in to her and who will tell her the cold hard truth. Where's the woman who filmed the Honey and Heartbreaker videos? She needs to please stand up. Was Mariah's Manager in her Honey era and Rainbow Louise McNally? She was let go after Glitter then hired again.. When was the last time she managed Mariah? The last I heard anything of Louise McNally was just when the Emancipation era was beginning. |

i love the song soo much i felt like i already had to pay tribute to it. i know its not quite as good as mariah but i still think its a heartfelt and emotional vocal performance.. "1-2-3-4-5-6-7" I just CANNOT  when will mimi create a creative hook like that? |

I love Mariah Carey. I have been a fan since the beginning in '90. I hate to tell you all this but Mariah is finished. Her recent songs tell me that she has seen her better days. At 44 years old it is time for her to call it a career. There's no use in sitting around here hoping that she'll have more big hits. Those days are over. She's done. Sweetheart we went round for round until my love knocked you out last time, do you remember? You seem to only pop up once in a blue to and just post she should retire, opinions are fine but to claim someone should call it quits because they are no longer scoring #1 hits is a f**king disservice to the arts and what music is all about. Let me educate you a little further sometimes shockingly people still make music well into their 40's, 50's and 60's because get this, they still love making MUSIC! Any artist who calls it quits due to numbers is not a artist to begin with. They call it a day when they lose their passion.Now if you're seriously claiming you like singers based on hits then that's just amazingly weird to me. I've been a fan a long time too mind you not as long as you because 1990 I was a mere child but I too realize she is past her hit making days but I'm still here because I want music. Her best song for me were album cuts, songs that didn't top the chart so as long as she makes good music I'm satisfied. f**k a chart and judge things based on your own chart. |
