In addition, Taylor Swift takes "22" to #22, Imagine Dragons crack the Top 10 and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (featuring Wanz) are still Thrift Shopping at #1.

I haven't been following AT40 for the past three years, but I noticed that there are only two songs that have been on the chart for more than 30 weeks and only eight songs that have been on for 20 weeks or more. Was there a recent chart purge, or is the chart just moving faster than it used to?

It'll, probably, be a "one week wonder". I can't see it sticking around. Of course, the week it drops off, they'll probably play it as an extra.

I'm reminded of that week in 1975 when Pete Wingfield's "Eighteen With A Bullet" happened to land at #18, and with a bullet. It appears to be "fun with numbers" week for Taylor with, both, "22" climbing and "Fifteen" as the Two For One.

I'm getting the feeling that "Daylight" will miss out on #1, here. I think "When I Was Your Man" will leapfrog it, next week.

"Harlem Shake" is charting? It peaked at fucking #65! There's no way a slightly different panel would make the difference between #65 and #40 unless they decided to change their panel to only include stations spinning "Harlem Shake" or something.

I believe most of the stations that play optional extras play the same ones, but some stations replace them with their own choices.

This was the chart from 17 weeks ago. Imagine Dragons were not seen then ("Wanted" was the only debut that week).

I remember there was a problem with that week though; originally, on the website, "It's Time" debuted at #36, and then when we heard the show we heard that "Wanted" actually debuted. It was then edited the day after. Maybe they based it on that.

Why do they keep identifying the show as "you're on air with Ryan Seacrest" when the name of the show is "American Top 40"? Does this seem right to you?

Good chart except for "Halem Shake". Cannot believe it actually debuted even though it was #40. I hope Maroon 5 does grab #1 next week, and then, of course, Bruno Mars.

That "you're on air with Ryan Seacrest" makes no sense whatsoever, even if it's not the show's title.
Anyway, both gold and diamonds are down this weekend. 3 new songs in the top 5, and Taylor gets
three spins including her 2 "number" songs.
Lots of movement this week. Die Young's been on 1/2 a year, and C'mon is dropping big time with only half
as many weeks. Little Talks continues it's very slow climb, finally hitting the top 20.
Too many extras bunched around 35 and 21. But they beefed up the 07/06 segment nicely with both #8 and an interview with Chris Brown.

Don't votes also factor into the Top 40? Maybe that's how "Harlem Shake" wound up there to begin with.

Only explanation I can come up with.
