Nov 9 will put her against Toby Keith's Greatest Hits, right?
Hopefully we'll get more news on the album and single soon!

Great to hear that the release date for Shania's album has apparently been moved up.
I hope her cd does well. :)

Well, at least Toby wont get a #1 album, hopefully!! That would be the same thing Shania did to Tim McGraw last time keeping him out of Number 1. It's rare for a Country album to reach Number 2 overall but never be the Number 1 Country album. "Tim McGraw And The Dancehall Doctors" did that.

That's correct. Shania was on her 2nd week with "Up!" when she held off Tim. Shania's "Up!" sold 874,000 in its debut week. "Up!" sold 626,000 in its 2nd week to hold off Tim. She held off Tim by 24,000 that week. Source: www.rollingstone.com/news/story?id=5934947

There's also another "more up to date" topic in the Music forum.

Looks like these were left out: Home Ain't Where His Heart Is, God Bless The Child, Rock This Country, You've Got A Way, She's Not Just A Pretty Face, and It Only Hurts. Looks Like A Pretty good Lineup. The song near the bottom, I wonder if that's Whatever You Do! Don't!. I really liked that song off Come On Over. Maybe she will release it now. Shania Twain's Greatest Hits track listing (in sequence order):
"Forever and For Always" "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" "UP!" "Come On Over" "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" "That Don't Impress Me Much" "From This Moment" "Honey, I'm Home" "You're Still The One" "Don't Be Stupid" "Love Gets Me Every Time" "No One Needs To Know" "You Win My Love" "I'm Outta Here" "The Woman In Me" "Any Man Of Mine" "Whose Bed Have Your Boots" "Party for Two' (with Mark McGrath)" "Don't!" "Party for Two (with Billy Currington)" "I Ain't No Quitter"

Shania Rocks Out And Twangs Up On Greatest Hits Disc Thursday August 26, 2004 @ 05:30 PM By: ChartAttack.com Staff For millions, Shania Twain helped make country music seem somewhat palatable by masking it with standard rock hooks and sexing it up in a way Dolly’s big bazoombas never could. The video for "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" alone was enough to make most men say, "Y’know, country’s not that bad…" Now the Canadian country popstar is set to release her first Greatest Hits album after recently finishing up her top grossing country tour for UP! With four full-length studio albums under her belt, Twain has enough diamonds to make Elizabeth Taylor blush. 1995’s The Woman In Me and 1997’s Come On Over were both certified two-times diamond in Canada while 2002’s UP! Has reached the almost unreachable status now as well. That’s one million albums sold per diamond rating, buck-o and Twain is the only artist in the history of artists to have three diamond-certified albums in Canada. Sloan, who? Tragically Hip, what? Shania Twain, all right! The 21-track album features her career-spanning chart toppers, a bunch of songs we've never heard of and three new tracks, one of which is done twice over. The majority of the songs on the Greatest Hits album come from The Woman In Me and Come On Over, with only one or two off UP! and none from her 1993 self-titled debut release. And here I thought "Dance With The One That Brought You" was a sure classic. New tracks include "Don’t!," "Party For Two" and the grammatically incorrect "I Ain’t No Quitter" with "Party" emerging as the first single. Twice over. The single (double?) features Twain alongside a Choose Your Own Adventure vocalist, either Mark McGrath or Billy Currington depending on your mood at the time. The Sugar Ray frontman and country newcomer both filmed videos with Twain for their respective versions as record execs undoubtably sit back wondering whether they should market Twain as more rock or more country on the next album. The tracklisting for Twain’s Greatest Hits album is: "Forever And For Always" "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" "UP!" "Come On Over" "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" "That Don't Impress Me Much" "From This Moment On" "Honey, I'm Home" "You're Still The One" "Don't Be Stupid" "Love Gets Me Every Time" "No One Needs To Know" "You Win My Love" "(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here" "The Woman In Me" "Any Man Of Mine" "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under" "Party For Two" (with Mark McGrath) "Don't!" "Party For Two" (with Billy Currington) "I Ain't No Quitter" —David Missio www.chartattack.com/damn/2004/08/2608.cfm

Oh, what kind of numbers do you think we can expect? I'm thinking maybe 700k, but I think it depends how well her single does at pop....if it's a smash, I'd say we could see 1M+

I'm hoping it can crosee 1 million. Depends on how well Party For Two does on both pop and country.

Well another Top 20 added to this GH. I am still puzzled as to how "She's Not Just A Pretty Face" didn't make the cut. Also, as I said in the Music thread, there should have been an international version. Anyway, let's start talking debuts. I am going 650+

I think it'll sell between 400 and 500K.

I can't see her selling less than 600,000 in her first week. I say between 700,000- 800,000. Many people around the world would love all of Shania's huge hits all in one cd not to mention 3 new songs.

I am agree with the 400-500k. Of course I would like to see more, but that number is realistic.

I finally started to listen to the non-singles on "Come On Over" and I love the entire album. It's really good. :o I'm surprised at how good it is. And it only cost me $5 used!

I wonder if this will be one of the biggest weeks ever before the holiday sales kick in. She is going up against 2 other huge artists, and there are several the week before that will debut high. I'm guessing the week of shania, we could see the top 5 albums sell upwards of 4-5M combined.
