I've updated Diplo, who's now 43. His latest Top 40 hit on Mediabase is "Don't Forget My Love" with Miguel.

Stephanie Beatriz of Cast of Encanto is 41.

Although he was probably around 40 or 41 when he recorded it, I've updated Pharrell Williams' age to 49 with "Just A Cloud Away." It's a Breakout on AT40 this week and currently at #37 on Mediabase's CHR chart.

The ages of each of the Black Eyed Peas need to be updated. Their song "Hit It!" made top 25 last fall, so each of them are a year older than it currently lists (will.i.am and Taboo were 46, apl.de.ap is 47). The list currently has their last charting song as "Girl Like Me."

Kate Bush would fall under the same category as these other examples cited on page 4:

^ The Four Seasons' "December 1963" was re-released in 1994 when a new mix reached #7 on the chart.
^ The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" was re-released in 1990 and reached #3 after being used in the film "Ghost."
^ Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" was re-released in 1986 and hit the top 20 when the song was used in the film "Stand By Me."

"Running Up That Hill" is a rerelease, not a new recording.

Doja Cat's Vegas reached the top 50 today. it features a sample by Big Mama Thornton who would be 95 years old if alive today. she however was 25 when she recorded her version of Hound Dog. since she is not credited it probably does not count for this thread .

Elton John again breaks the record as the oldest to chart at Pop radio . his new song with Britney Spears Hold Me Closer debuts at #36 and he is now 75 years old.on other formats a couple other legends are a bit older. charting at AC Diana Ross is 78 years old and Ronald Isley charting at Urban/R&B is 81 years old.

she actually died back in July when she was 44 but would be 45 now.

This is a great list! I've sunk way too much time into several music-related age lists myself, so the least I can do is toss in a few more I dug up.

Ronald Isley hit Mainstream Top 40 as a feature on Kendrick Lamar's "i" at 73

Pops Staples of the Staple Singers was 61 when "Let's Do It Again" was on the pop charts (and his daughter Cleotha was 41).

Phil Bodner, the musician who played the iconic piccolo melody on Van McCoy's "The Hustle", was 58 (the song is credited to Van McCoy & the Soul City Symphony)

It's hard to tell for sure which of the various Santana members played on what album, but keyboardist Chester Thompson is credited on "Into the Night" and was either 62 or 63 when it left the charts (his 63rd birthday was on March 9).

The rest of the Beach Boys were also in their 40's when Kokomo was a hit.

Travis Scott's song "FRANCHISE" scraped the bottom of the top 40 in 2020, with featured artist M.I.A. at 45.

Roger Troutman was 44 as of his talkbox feature on 2Pac's "California Love"

Mauro Castillo is actually the oldest of the credited Encanto vocalists on "We Don't Talk About Bruno", at 43, maybe 44 depending on the end date.

I don't know which charts exactly you're including for this list, but Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones is definitely on here somewhere, and maybe other members too.

Whitesnake is a weird one, especially because "Here I Go Again" was re-recorded three times with different musicians each time, and there might be some that qualify depending on which version? Aynsley Dunbar was the one I had, but I think another might make it.

Andy Summers of The Police was 41 when the band's last hit charted

Rob Hotchkiss, founding member of Train, was 43 when Calling All Angels was a hit (he left the band shortly afterwards)

Roy Orbison's late-80s revival should probably qualify him, posthumous or not. (Speaking of that, did the Traveling Wilburys never chart high enough?)

The 2008 Artists Stand Up to Cancer supergroup, which somehow got airplay, included Sheryl Crow (46) and Melissa Etheridge (47)

There's definitely more band members and vocalists I'm missing, but hopefully these are some interesting finds

Fall Out Boy have been bouncing around in the 40s for a few months. Bassist Pete Wentz is 43 and drummer Andy Hurley is 42.

Lil' Jon is charting with Pitbull on "Jumpin". He's 51.

Fatboy Slim is back, featured on Rita Ora's "Praising You". He's 59.

Maroon 5 are back on the chart with "Middle Ground". All six, current, members are over 40. Keyboardist PJ Morton is 42. Drummer Matt Flynn is 53. The other four members -- Adam Levine, James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, and Sam Farrar -- are all 44.

Madonna is on track to, officially, return to the pop chart this coming weekend with her featured credit on "Popular". This would be her first chart appearance in over 8 years. Madge is, now, 64. I believe this would make her the oldest woman to chart, with a label credit, since we've been tracking this data. Kate Bush was, also, 64 when "Running Up That Hill" recharted last year. But, that song wasn't a new recording.

^For a totally solo single? Probably Cher, with "Song For the Lonely." She was a few months short of 56 when it hit the pop top 40. Tina Turner, at age 60 and change, fell 10 spots short, as "When the Heartache is Over" peaked at 50 on R&R.

And while Mediabase has "Popular" with a featuring credit for Madonna and Playboi Cardi, it's really not the proper one, as it's joint/equal credit on digital and streaming services.
