well I mean they are hovering in the #17-20 range, which in the grand scope of things, it's not enough to catapult this into the Top 10. Yes they have been very consistant, just very consistant in the below-average range. I would never consider this a flop by any means. Top 15 is pretty noteworthy.

Her sales have been steady. Her position has only lowered on iTunes when you include songs from The Voice that come and go just as quickly.

But she's currently at #21 and there are 2 Voice songs, so that would potentially put her at #19. If she wants to make the Top 10, then there is going to need something, whether by her or a gigantic leap in streaming, to catapult her there. #15 isn't bad by any means.

^He means her sales haven't exploded like the other 'big hits' on the chart right now...at least not in the 150k+ range, but that will only happen if the radio spins pick up over the next few weeks.

Top 15 for #Beautiful! 5 more to go. Will she do it?? Well, you can never count Mariah out, but I think it'll be hard for "#Beautiful" to get in the top ten. Either the sales or airplay will need to rise by a substantial amount. Top 15 ain't nothing to sneeze about, and it has outpeaked "It's Like That."

I like Can't Hold Us better than Thrift Shop but I'm glad it's #1 reign is over. I like Blurred Lines so glad it's #1 And yay for The Way earning a new peak. This is my surprise hit of the year and well I never thought a Nickelodeon star could have a song like that

Remember all the drama on here when "Obsessed" sat at number 11 for four weeks? I was glad to see it go top ten just to cut the tension.

*Yes, it's #1 in all 3 countries right now, but the equivalent weeks for Australia's and UK's charts to tomorrow's US one aren't until this coming Sunday! (But, I mean, I doubt BL is falling from #1 in either of those countries judging that it's #1 on both countries' iTunes.) It would be more fair to compare using the US Digital chart. I've done so here, and I've lined up the charts as close to the actual sales weeks as possible. (Australia is Fri-Thu, the UK is Sun-Sat and the US is Mon-Sun.) I've dated each week's chart as the Sunday that's the final day of the US sales week (eg the week dated Sunday May 26 includes US sales from the 20th-26th, UK sales from the 19th-25th, and AU sales from the 17th-23rd. And with this method, I had to go quite a long way back! Wouldn't be summer without a Katy Perry song Just wonder what kind of music will Katy release this time (or in the future). We all know that Dance-pop don't do well now given the fact that some pop artist's single 'underperformed' on chart even with a previous radio hit single. Of course, there are some exceptions on that. Will she continue on that same sound? Just thinking. It just occurred to me, after seeing this post, that I would not consider any of Katy's previous singles 'dance' pop. So in a sense she's fairly immune to the change going on at CHR right now. There's still a place for her, even if she wanted to stick with what she's done before (though "E.T." is probably the best song for her to use as a guide if she wants to get in on the rhythmic vibe that seems to be a thing now). Her lead single will probably be a top 5 hit no matter what; the initial hype and a likely CC deal will ensure that.

Random question : Mariah's first 12 singles were all Top 5. Is that a record?

Thanks, 2m. Rihanna now has a credit on another Hot 100 entry, only this time it's a "Featuring," plus "Or."

"Or" credits are very rare. I recall Shania Twain's "Party For Two" had two versions, one featuring Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray.

"Or" credits are very rare. I recall Shania Twain's "Party For Two" had two versions, one featuring Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray. These are the ones from this decade: "UP!" LoveRance feat. IamSu and Skipper or 50 Cent "Wasted" Gucci Mane feat. Plies or OJ Da Juiceman "9 Piece" Rick Ross feat. Lil Wayne or T.I. "Crazy Kids" Ke$ha feat. will.i.am or Juicy J Plus now "Bad" as well.

I've never heard Fab's version of 'Into You' w/Ashanti on it.

P!nk remains to be the only female artist to top the Hot 100 this year. Wow.
