Commentary:

Late, but what else is new these days?

Carly holds at number one for a 9th consecutive week and 'runs away' with the record for the most weeks at number one ever. I never thought that I'd see a nine week number one again, but I still can't get enough of "Run Away With Me", haha. "Stitches" inches from 3 to 2 while "Shine" jumps from 5 to 3. "Shine" is looking likely to be the next number one, although the race between the top five is really close. "Catfish" jumps from 12 to 4, thus becoming Tamar's highest charting since since "The One" peaked at number 2. "The Blade" slips from 2 to 5 while "Let's Get Lost" slips from 4 to 6. "Don't Be So Hard On Yourself" moves from 8 to 7 while "What You Don't Do" inches from 10 to 8. "Wildest Dreams" becomes Taylor's fourth top ten entry from 1989 as "Wildest Dreams" jumps from 28 to 9. Keyes rounds out the top ten as "Black Magic" jumps from 11 to 10. 

Troye Sivan scores the highest debut of the week as "Wild" blasts in at number 54. "Happy Little Pill" previously peaked at number 7. Maddie & Tae's "Fly" re-enters the chart at number 57 while "Cecilia and the Satellite" re-enters at number 58. "Ain't Nobody" debuts at number 67 while "Player" debuts at number 68. "Same Old Love" debuts at number 74. "Cake By The Ocean" randomly debuts at number 79. Fetty scores yet another entry as "My Way" debuts at number 85. Halsey debuts at number 90 with "New Americana", Nicki debuts at number 94 with "Trini Dem Girls", and Drake debuts at number 100 with "Back To Back".

Sam Sparro and Cam score their first top ten hits as "Hands Up" jumps from 17 to 9 and "Burning House" from 14 to 10, respectively. Six songs debut this week, led by Carrie Underwood's "Heartbeat" at number 52.

Commentary:

I'm like a month late, but I was having computer troubles. Everything's back on track now, though, so all of my charts will be updated within the next week or so. :)

Adele debuts at number one with "Hello". Selena Gomez was the last to do so as "The Heart Wants What It Wants" debuted at number one late last year. Adele now has five number ones - "Rolling In The Deep", "Someone Like You", "Set Fire To The Rain", "Rumour Has It", and "Hello". Carly thus gets blocked from number one yet again as "Let's Get Lost" jumps from 4 to 2. She had previously been stuck in the runner-up position behind "Run Away With Me" and now she's stuck behind Adele. "Let's Get Lost" has had very unfortunate timing these past few weeks and now it may never hit the top spot. Regardless, it has been in the top ten the entire time (10 weeks) and now has one of the longest top ten runs of the entire year. Moving on, Carly rounds out the top three with "Run Away With Me" as it slips from 2 to 3. It previously broke the record for the most weeks at number one with nine. "Shine" tumbles from 1 to 4 in the light of tough competition and was quite lucky to have hit number one when it did. "Wildest Dreams" holds at number 5 while "Catfish" falls from 3 to 6. "Hands Up" jumps from 9 to 7, thus pushing "679" from 6 to 8. CHVRCHES score their first top ten entry as "Leave A Trace" flies from 16 to 9. "R.I.P. 2 My Youth" rounds out the top ten as it advances from 13 to 10. It becomes The Neighbourhood's second top ten entry following the number three peaking "Sweater Weather".

In addition to Adele's number one debut with "Hello", One Direction, Drake, Diplo, Gwen, Rae Sremmurd, St. Lucia, and LEON all scores new entries this week.
