Zebra's Top 100 - March 1, 2015 - Week 92, Week 10 (Repost)
Commentary: Taylor Swift earns a 2nd (and likely last) week at number one with "Style". "Girl Crush" advances from 4 to 2, thus causing "Love Me Like You Do" to fall from 2 to 3 and "Heartbeat Song" to fall from 3 to 6. "My Type" jumps from 6 to 4 and "FourFiveSeconds" moves from 8 to 5. "Type" and "Seconds" push "Heartbeat Song" and "Say You Love Me" out of the top 5. The latter falls from 5 to 9. Jake Owen scores his first top ten hit this week as "What We Ain't Got" jumps from 13 to 8. Passion Pit scores their second ("Take A Walk" peaked at no. 1) as "Lifted Up (1985)" jumps from 15 to 10. "Electric Love" is this week's greatest gainer as it flies from 71 to 13. Elsewhere, 10 songs debut. The highest debut comes from Carly Rae Jepsen at number 27 with "I Really Like You". Look for it to become a sizeable hit in the coming weeks. Kacey Musgraves nabs the 2nd highest debut as she storms in at number 53 with "Biscuits". It hasn't been officially released yet, but I just couldn't wait haha. Tinashe finally charts a follow-up to "2 On" as "All Hands On Deck" debuts at number 78. Behind it, Imagine Dragons' "Shots" and Ty Dolla $ign's "Drop That Kitty" debut at numbers 79 and 80, respectively. Jack U & co. also debut at number 82 with "Take U There". The last four entries make their start at the tail end of the chart. Madeon & Passion Pit leads the pack with "Pay No Mind" at number 97. The Weeknd finally debuts with "Earned It" at number 98. Nate Ruess makes his solo debut with "Nothing Without Love" at number 99 and Matt & Kim debuts at number 100 with "Get It". Matt & Kim thus earn their first chart entry since 2009, in which they sent "Daylight" to number 4 and "Lessons Learned" all of the way to number 1. We'll see if they can follow suit almost 6 years later. Bubbling Under: Expect "I Want You To Know" to enter next week. Recurrents: Fleetwood Mac dominates again! Oh, and instead of a number ones ranking I'll wait until I hit 100 weeks and do something special for that milestone. Matt & Kim!!! You know, I just heard that Nate Ruess song and I'm starting to dig it. Great to see "Earned It" and "Shots" debut as well
Glad that "Worth It", "Cheerleader", "King", "Say Something", "Truffle Butter", "Wish You Were Mine", "Happy Idiot", and "Pray To God" are still rising.
Really happy to see "Young Blood" still rising as well as "What Kind of Man" and "Lifted Up"!
"I Want You To Know", "Lay Me Down" and "Lighthouse" in next please. Great chart Zebra!

still perfect. :'( too bad it isn't #1 anymore. Thanks, Josh! <3 Great to see "Style" get another week at #1! Hope Little Big Town can get there next week though. "Girl Crush" isn't one of my favorites by them, but I just love LBT. Love that Jake Owen made it into the Top 10 this week too, just like I'd hoped he would! Yay @ "Little Toy Guns," "Lay Low," "Better Than You Left Me," "Going Out Like That," "Feeling Myself," "Raise 'Em Up," "Fly," "Diamond Rings and Old Barstools," "Worth It," "I Bet," and "Love 'Em All" all moving up this week. <3 And yesssssss to that debut from Kacey Musgraves! I see your hype for the new release has transferred well to your chart already. ...and Little Big Town gets there! Hope it grows on you! Jake Owen also rises. Most of those continue to do well! I'm so hyped for her new release. Thanks, Indulge! <3 I love "Style", glad it's doing well. I hate to listen to "Girl Crush", I'm sure I'll like it. "Love Me Like You Do" should stop falling tbh. Also, rooting for 45S. Poor "Heartbeat Song", it fell rather quickly. "What Kind Of Man" doing well. <3 Poor "Uptown Funk", that's a big drop. "Brooklyn Baby" should slay. I know it will. Glad to see "I Really Like You" charting so early. "Pray To God" c'mon do something. :'( I see "Feeling Myself" started doing well. I love you for charting "Ink". It may be my second favorite song off Ghost Stories. "Hypnotic" should do better. I see we are both slow with "Talking Body". Oh "King" charting. Where's "Desire"? :( (12 spots lower, found it :'( ) Rooting for the debuts between #78-80 and also "Take Ü There". Hope "Right Here, Right Now" becomes a big hit. Fantastic recurrent #1. "Girl Crush" is fantastic. "Heartbeat Song" could rebound next week. "Brooklyn Baby" will slay. "Pray To God" is on its way to becoming a big hit. "Ink" is perfect so ily for showing it some love. Thanks for your commentary, Rocky! <3 Great to see Passion Pit in the top ten and Earned It debut. Also great to see Electric Love rising. Great chart Zebra! :) Glad you like those! Thanks Shoosh! <3 Go Reba Go!!!! <3 She keeps rising! I think you'll like my recurrents this week also. ;) Thanks Sean! <3 Style #1! Overall, good chart. Thanks JL44! :) "Style" = YES! this is exactly what I wanted to see apologies if I've asked this already, but what's Taylor's longest-running No. 1? I know SIO and BS only managed a single week on top, but what about LS, YBWM, and IKYWT? "Heartbeat Song" = aw, slightly sad to hear that this will never be No. 1...but it's never going to No. 1 on my chart either, so I can't be too hard on you for making that call ;) FFS = Top 5 = awesome. meanwhile, TTS barely makes a dent on the Bubbling Under chart :kii: "I Really Like You" = debuts inside the Top 30 the day before it was actually released = AWESOME! so so glad that you'll be stanning for this one. it's pretty much definitely my next No. 1 "Biscuits" = woah, is this the lead single from her next album? I had no idea this surfaced! I may hold off on checking it out, since it would just get lost in the Carly + Kelly shuffle this week, but I'm very nervous/excited to hear what she's come up with "Talking Body" = Top 60 smash = awesome "Right Here, Right Now" + "Sugar" = both gaining = awesome...though I'd love it if they picked up the pace even more! nice to see you gettin' nostalgic for TEOG. sometimes I wondered what that era could've been if they had re-structured (aka shortened) the album a bit, made TEOG the lead single and title track (seems like a pretty awesome album title, TBH.) I definitely enjoy BTW just the way it is, but damn did it torpedo her career :'( Re: "Style" - I just couldn't let it go. You haven't asked, but I'll gladly inform you. All of her other chart toppers have only managed to spend a week at the top. Never realized it until now. Slay "Style". :'( Re: "Heartbeat Song" - It's still a decent sized hit though! Re: "FFS" - I want to let FFS have a chance to shine. I'm not too keen on TTS yet. Re: "I Really Like You" - I'll be stanning hard for it. I can see that it's your no. 1 and that's awesome. It's perfect. <3 Re: "Biscuits" - YES! It hasn't been officially released yet (I think it's coming next week) but I've already heard it and it's amazing. It's similar to "Follow Your Arrow". Re: "Sugar" - It does! Re: "The Edge Of Glory" - I actually just had this conversation with someone the other day... It should've been released first. Could've smashed like crazy. I would've loved The Edge Of Glory as an album title. They could've axed "Born This Way" and at least one of the filler album tracks (leaning towards "The Queen" here) and it would've been perfect. Still a marvelous album that should've done so much more. Thanks Paul! <3 Style is number one I really really really really really really like the Carly Rae Jepsen debut! And The Weeknd earned a debut on your chart Glad you like those! Thanks Flip. <3 Style is #1!!! <333333 I Really Like You, Biscuits, All Hands on Deck, Drop that Kitty, and Earned It debuts!!! <333333333333333333333333333333333333 Love your chart!!! Thanks Surf! <3 Nice to see Style on top! Love the Pray to God move. :) Glad that you like those! "Pray To God" keeps moving. Thanks Drag! <3 yes it can. Thanks Fancy! <3 :O @ the BØRNS jump. Nice to see "Style" on top and FFS and Carrie moving up the Top 10. :) Also like seeing Reba moving up and the debut for Kacey. They all keep on rising. Thanks, Libra! <3 Glad that you like those! Thanks JT! <3 Matt & Kim!!! You know, I just heard that Nate Ruess song and I'm starting to dig it. Great to see "Earned It" and "Shots" debut as well Glad that "Worth It", "Cheerleader", "King", "Say Something", "Truffle Butter", "Wish You Were Mine", "Happy Idiot", and "Pray To God" are still rising. Zebra's Top 100 - March 8, 2015 - Week 93, Week 11
Commentary: It's a rather crazy week this week, but more on that later. "Girl Crush" advances from 2-1, swapping positions with "Style". "FourFiveSeconds" jumps from 5-3, giving Rihanna her first top 3 hit since "Diamonds" hit no. 1 in late 2012. Jake Owen moves from 8-4 with "What We Ain't Got", in the process scoring his first top 5 hit. "My Type" rounds out the top 5 as it falls from 4-5. "Love Me Like You Do" likewise falls from 3-6. "Little Toy Guns" is stable at no. 7 and "Lifted Up (1985)" advances from 10-8. Two new songs enter the top ten. "What Kind Of Man" moves from 11-9 and "I Really Like You" vaults from 27-10. Both are looking to be no. 1 contenders in the near future. Below the top ten things get rather busy. "Electric Love" jumps from 13-11 and it'll likely enter the top 10 soon. Other notable jumps come from "Pray To God" (28-15), "Nobody Love" (76-16, the greatest gainer), "Going Out Like That" (35-27), "Shots" (79-28), "Sugar" (88-36), "Wish You Were Mine" (45-37), and "Biscuits" (53-44). Nine songs debut this week. The highest debut comes from The Mowgli's, as "I'm Good" bows at no. 41. It's their first chart entry. Beyoncé scores the second highest entry as I decided to let the "Crazy In Love" remix chart. It enters at no 59. Loreen returns to the chart for the 1st time since late 2012 with "Paper Light (Higher)" at no. 64. Klingande and Broken Back's "Riva" debuts at no. 92, Zedd and Selena's "I Want You To Know" debuts at no. 96, MNEK's "The Rhythm" debuts at no. 97, Family Of The Year's "Hero" debuts at no. 98, NERVO's "It Feels" debuts at no. 99, and Night Terrors of 1927's "Always Take You Back" debuts at no. 100. Most of the dropouts this week are from rather old songs, including the no. 1 hit "Follow Your Arrow". Bubbling Under: Tons of new music this week! Not sure what'll debut, but it's an exciting time for my chart regardless. Oh, and I might bend the rule about no album tracks charting because Piece by Piece is perfect. Recurrents: Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, and Reba McEntire dominate this week. Little Big Town you get that Number One! Love the jumps for Rihanna and Jake Owen in the Top 5, too. Also love that most of the country songs continue to trend positively, especially Josh Turner and Jana Kramer making the Top 20. <3 Only thing I don't love is K. Michelle leaving. :'( From your Bubbling Under chart, I hope Nicole Scherzinger and Ashley Monroe get on there! Would also like to see "One Last Time" and "Ring Off" make it on as well.

The bottom of your chart is crazy active! Definitely don't want to lose your bullet down there. . Anyway, I like the solid debut for Shots, that song took a while to grow on me but I love it now. Also hope a couple of songs can keep sneaking up near the bottom, namely Hollow Moon, Don't Wanna Fight, Karaoke. Glad to see The Business Of Emotion Bubbling Under! Hope it can make an appearance soon! Another great chart

"Lifted Up" and "What Kind of Man" both top 10! Look at "Pray To God" and "Nobody Love" go! Yes!
Great rise for "Wish You Were Mine" too. "Say Something" needs to pick up the pace a little. Same for "Right Here, Right Now".
Impressed with the Loreen debut. I haven't heard that one but I'm happy that you know her. Love the debuts for "Riva", "I Want You To Know" and "Always Take You Back"!
Here's hoping that "Hold My Hand", "You Know You Like It", "Invincible", "The Business of Emotion" and "Lay Me Down" are next!

yassss, a #1 i don't hate (because i don't know it but i hate most country so) yay don't listen to it then and pretend you like it. "Girl Crush" isn't one of my favorite LBT songs, but I love seeing them at #1 lol. Karen rocks that song and the vocal arrangement is gorgeous... it's just those lyrics and the background music. Also love seeing "What We Ain't Got" and "Little Toy Guns" in the top 10. :)

"Girl Crush" = well, this is something different. I get that it's not a straight-up "girl-wants-a-girl" song (more about envying her/wanting to be her), but there's still some mighty steamy homoerotic lines in there for a country song ("I wanna taste her lips...")
"Style" = ah, the good times never last :'( still, awesome to see that this became her longest-running No. 1 ever (same story on my chart, actually!)
"FFS" = Top 3 = awesome. I've been pleasantly surprised with this one's run, since you initially suggested it wouldn't be able to crack your Top 5. must've been some divine intervention by Rihsus ~
"I Really Like You" = Top 10 already = I really(x6) like the sight of this! off to a really promising start
"Sugar" = woah, now this puts IRLY's jump to shame! so "Animals" peaked at No. 10, but what about "Maps"? might this shape up to be the V era's biggest hit here, just like the Hot 100?
"Biscuits" = still need to check this out, but there's just been so much distraction lately from Kelly, Carly, Madge, and Jason's new jaaammmmm. looks like you're actually not all that impressed with it, though?
"I Want You To Know" = I've been pretty...really...underwhelmed by this. definitely not a patch on her gems with the Scene: "Naturally", "Who Says", LYLALS, etc.
RIP "Follow Your Arrow" :'( :'( :'( and I'm starting to worry about "One Last Time" + "Ring Off"...

Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I really appreciate it. Y'all are awesome. <3 Ain't nobody slay like you do, Tori Kelly! And Zebra too, obvi. Kurt too, obvs. Tori Kelly will keep slaying. Re: "Girl Crush" - Yeah, I could see that interpretation. Re: "Style" - Twins! Re: "FourFiveSeconds" - I guess you could say that it kept growing on me, haha. It must be Rihsus' power. :'( Re: "I Really Like You" - Judging from its peak this week one could say it is off to the best possible start, ha. Re: "Sugar" - "Maps" peaked at no. 5 (same as Hot 100 my impact), but I would say that even if "Sugar" doesn't outpeak it it'll still end up as the era's biggest hit. On an all-time opinion based list (that might pop up later this year) it would certainly be higher than its predecessors. Re: "Biscuits" - I am, it's just that it hadn't been officially released yet. It was serviced to radio today, so it'll pick up the pace. Re: "I Want You To Know" - Same. Re: "Follow Your Arrow" - Ikr. :'( Re: The two bubbling queens - I think they'll at least crack the chart soon. Thanks Paul! <3

Zebra's Top 100 - March 15, 2015 - Week 94, Week 12
Commentary: Carly Rae Jepsen earns her first chart topper this week as "I Really Like You" jumps from 10-1 in its 3rd week. "Girl Crush" dips from 1-2. "FourFiveSeconds" and "What We Ain't Got" hold at numbers 3 and 4, respectively. "Style" falls from 2-5. "Little Toy Guns", "Lifted Up (1985)", and "What Kind Of Man" each advance one position each, landing at numbers 6, 7, and 8, respectively. "My Type" tumbles from 5-9 while "Electric Love" inches from 11-10. Six songs enter this week. Two of those (the highest two) come from Kelly Clarkson. Kelly doesn't debut with current single "Invincible" but instead with two album tracks that I've really been loving over the past week. "Let Your Tears Fall" roars in at number 24 and "Good Goes the Bye" debuts at number 67. Look for "Piece By Piece" to follow suit in the coming weeks. Madonna manages to debut with newly announced 2nd single "Ghosttown" at number 74. James Bay finally debuts with "Hold Back the River" at number 95. Mumford & Sons debut with "Believe" at number 99. Despite releasing other singles from Babel, this is their 1st charting entry since "I Will Wait". I suppose I just never paid much attention to the others. Expect big things for "Believe". The final debut comes from In the Valley Below's "Peaches" at number 100. Bubbling Under: Umm so this section gets messier each week. Several of these will debut next week. Recurrents: I haven't listened to Rebel Heart in its entirety yet, but I did get nostalgic for older Madonna so she rules this week. Whoa! Carly #1, wasn't expecting that! Jake Owen still top 5, and Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, and Nick Jonas all made top 20 with their recent singles as well as Tove Lo going up. Great chart!
