This song's okay. Nice and simple. Definitely miles better than "Party For Two." Can't see this making Top 5 though.

Most added at Country radio last week and Billboard's "Hot Shot Debut" at #44. I don't think that's the "official" debut, that should come on this week's chart.

Well, this song along the rest of the #20-#30 songs, is at a stand still. There aren't many stations adding, and the song is just sitting..

I really like this song and somewhat agree that if Gretchen were singing this it would be doing better, but Martina is too busy with her story songs these days to get anywhere. BLAH!!!

On her next album I think Shania should return with a song more along the lines Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? or Any Man of Mine. She really needs to reconnect with the Country market... the station that will play her in the long run.

Moves 31-29 on BB and 29-28 on R&R. Finally it may move up quite a bit b/c the top of the chart is falling out and Shania is finally moving up. At #25 on Mediabase today..

I do like this, but it's to 'pop' for country radio imo.

I do like this, but it's to 'pop' for country radio imo. If Shania's "Don't!" is 'too pop' for Country radio then people like Martina, Faith, Tim, Rascal Flatts and others like them all need to be banned from Country radio. "Don't!" is just as country, even More country - imo, than Tim's "Live Like You Were Dying" song. If that song can spend multiple weeks at # 1 on the Country charts and if Tim's backing vocals on the NELLY "Over and Over" song can get the song played on Country radio, then "Don't!" should be a guaranteed # 1 Smash. Imo, "Don't!" is more Country than over 80% of the songs on Country radio right now.

i also think that this song is really good,
but, like any other shania songs, country radio will do what it takes so it doesn't get to number one.... I think if/WHEN shania releases I AIN"T NO QUITTER to country, it will race up the charts, and will probably peak at 1,2, or 3.... if she released IANQ before Don't, Don't would probably do better.... Anywho.. i see this song peaking at #9.. but i think Mercury should release IANQ around the CMT/ACMA award time so she can promote it, so hopefully don't will be done by then...

I agree with you here and unless the single speeds up, I think it won't peak until weeks 25-35. That would delay Quitter pass the awards shows hence cutting promotion. I think Quitter should be 2-3 weeks old when the ACMs come out. The single will last over the summer and maybe Shania will have the new album done by the fall and we can get the lead then. :)
