MILEY CYRUS – We Can’t Stop: 54.948 (+0.492)
Funny that radio hesitates so much with this as it's been #2 on Hot 100 for weeks.

^Actually, it's spent four weeks at No. 3 and one at No. 2- though it probably will move back up to No. 2 this coming week. :)

If radio automatically reacted to iTunes sales charts, they would have been playing tons of Glee songs and Taylor Swift album cuts.
They have their own agenda that is more informed by call-outs and research and to a lesser degree regional album sales. Rarely do PDs admit that they are influenced by iTunes sales.

And I consider that a more precise correlation would be iTunes sales influenced by radio.

Is pop radio playing the cedraic gervais remix for "Summertime Sadness"? I heard the original versión a couple of times. This seems like the first legit hit for her. (and probably the first Lana song I'll buy, top 40/HAC radio influences me too much XD)

This week has potential for 3 top ten entries(i wont say it will because ill say 3 enter only and none do). Since cruise and Chu are the most likely to fallout this week, id guess macklemore falls out for macklemore and cruise falls out for safe & sound and if BSE falls out which is 50/50 then clarity will also enter.

It's #1 on everything now so it shouldn't go much farther. It should peak around 275-280 million. :'( But honestly 285 million wouldn't surprise me either. 300 million is out of the question though.

Less than 31m to hit 300m Mediabase. At this rate of gains, 12 more days. It may go a little higher than 275m- the daily gains at the formats are (these are just the published-panel trends): Pop: .266 Hot AC: .416 AC: 511 Rhythmic: .350 Urban: .720 Urban AC: .257 Audience So, still room for decent growth, it looks.

So if Katy and Lady Gaga don't debut at number one that's 12 consecutive weeks for Robin, but Gaga may be number after the VMAs. But 10 might as well be confirmed.

BDS is a building chart, so, if "Blurred Lines" does, it wouldn't officially pass the 212m mark until today's airplay period ends.

I can't believe Clarity is so high, I didn't know material by Zedd would be so radio friendly, would love to see it in the year end top 25. It can't be often that a song that misses the top 10 makes the year-end top 25 (although I think The Motto managed it last year).

It can't be often that a song that misses the top 10 makes the year-end top 25 (although I think The Motto managed it last year). From the 2012's Hot 100 year end "Drive By" just barely hit the top 10 but had an amazing longevity and there was also "I Won't Give Up" at #25, which debuted at I think #8 and never ever reached the top ten again. Yep and there was "The Motto". It didn't happen in 2011, 2010 and 2009. On my YTD chart "Clarity" is currently at #56 and will most likely pass seven recurrent songs to be at #49. Everything is possible.

How many weeks will this be at #1 on airplay for "Blurred Lines"? How many weeks can it go? Challenge the Goo Goo Dolls' 18 weeks for "Iris"?!
Lol @ this having the biggest update, already 100m above #2.
Nothing is even charging up the charts right now. Good timing for Katy.

good timing for Katy and Gaga. Right now, it's virtually Blurred Lines and nothing else is on the radio, lol. At least nothing that would ever challenge #1. Perfect timing, indeed.
