Yesss! Man, I've been waiting for this one! Has anyone found a sound clip of the song anywhere on the web?

Well, as much as CMT replays everything since they really don't show vid's anymore, I'm sure you can find it on a repeat/

God I love her. I always forget what an amazing interpreter she is combined with that awesome instrument. Sounds like classic Trisha.

Just awesome. I'm so glad to have new Trisha music. I caught the last 15-20 mins of the CMT awards, but I missed Trisha. CMT Canada repeats award shows pretty often, so hopefully I'll catch Trisha's performance in the next few days.

People this is country music. This is the kind of music this town needs to be putting out. Just when I think that country music has hit it's lowest with B&R, Cowboy Troy, Emerson Drive and tons of other you know what. Trisha comes with something that reminds me just how great country music can be.

Simply amazing. Trisha never ceases to amaze me... she is without a doubt the MOST underrated artist in country music.
WELCOME BACK TRISHA... we've missed you BIG TIME! Please radio give her a chance again!

AaaaaahG! The one time I miss a lame CMT awards show, they aren't lame! I could cry at the thought of Trisha's comeback. I cannot wait to hear it and I will be stuck on Highway 16 waiting for a full preview of 'Georgia Rain.' Bring it on, Trisha!

Thanks for the link.
I love the song. It's nostalgic, poetic, and features Trisha's voice, beautiful as ever.
But I am very, very afraid that it will be one more lovely, sophisticated Trisha Yearwood song that radio will ignore. Let's hope not...

Trisha knows how to sing, but I don't think she's chosen a good song here. It's over-written and over-arranged. She lifts it up with her low-key and intelligent vocals, and it's going to be a delight to have her back on radio. But I think back to Thinking About You and The Song Remembers When and Perfect Love, songs with life and intelligence to them, and I wind up thinking there aren't enough strings in the state of Tennessee (or Georgia, for that matter) to make this second-rate piece of music come alive.
Still, bad Trisha is a lot better than the best of a lot of other artists, so I'll wait for the CD and plunk down my money and hope hard for something with a lot more soul than this one.

Awesome song....probably one of Trisha's finest efforts to date. Like someone said, it's very poetic...I love everything about this song.
That's not to say that this is a sure fire hit. Trisha's track record on the last 3 albums have been pretty hit and miss (actually, more misses than hits), but I pray that country welcomes her back.
Music with class...that's what "Georgia Rain" is.

I was sent a survey a while back with three Trisha singles on it. GR was one of them. So there was some thought that went into which single would be best to put out first.
I think the song is pretty, but I think "That's Why I Hate Pontiacs" by Rebecca Lynn Howard is a better song. They are both similiar reminicing type of songs.

It's a nice song....nothing extraordinary though. The vocals are a bit too understated for my liking and the song really does need some sort of emotional lift. Still, as others have said, it’s nice to hear Trisha’s voice again.

I finally caught Monday's performance, as CMT re-aired the video awards tonight. Trisha looks awesome (better than I can remember) and sounds fantastic as usual. Welcome back, Trisha!

I *love* Trisha's new single!!! I agree, it's classic Trisha, and it totally suits her voice. With the way it's zooming up the charts, and it's not even "officially" released yet... I hope it's not ignored by radio.
