I'm glad Wrecking Ball stopped The Monster from getting that #1. Hopefully Timber will also block it. That would be pretty funny

Exactly. I'm not pressed about Eminem not getting #1 with The Monster yet. I'm more pressed about "The Real Slim Shady" getting blocked at #4 and "Without Me" getting blocked at #2. More then im concerned about how many weeks "The Monster" gets on top. If it only is on top one week. I'm cool with that. Eminem will get his 5th Hot 100 #1. While I love "The Monster" out of all his #1's it would place 4th out of 5th. Only ahead of "Crack A Bottle". People think Eminem just puts Rihanna on for hits. I mean thats part of it, but he just also loves how her voice is on some tracks. I mean he has a lot of females do hooks. He doesn't pick Rihanna for all of them. I get that. I'm not the biggest Rihanna fan but I do love her voice and I find her adorable. Not attracted to her by any means. Too many Tattoos. But she's cute and seems to be a nice girl. The only think Rihanna has ever done that I hated was stay with Chris Brown. Just because it wasn't safe. But thats a whole different topic. Point is i don't get the hate. And I said it elsewhere...It's fine if you don't want the Monster to get #1 but just don't ignore facts and BS and blindly state "Haha It will never hit number 1" and leave it at that. Whenever somebody says that..they never give legit facts to why it will be blocked. Tell us why it will be blocked realistically? Look at streaming, airplay, sales. etc. It's fine to not want her to tie MJ or whoever with 13 number 1's. But let's be honest, music is a subjective thing. Seriously some people think Nickleback rocks harder then Tool. LOL. Even if i think thats laughable, i won't change anybodys mind. Rihanna will get a handful more of number 1's in her career i believe. There will be debates, prepare for them, cause she's gonna get them. I'm glad Wrecking Ball stopped The Monster from getting that #1. Hopefully Timber will also block it. That would be pretty funny Sort of what talked about above. No facts to why you think it will get blocked.

After percolating at the bottom of the chart for awhile Burn has really taken off suddenly. Nice.

I checked Billboard.biz this morning and noticed that the Digital Songs and Radio Songs charts were only 50 positions not the usual 75, hopefully this is yet another BB snafu!

OMG! Jon Stewart had his guys do a Wrecking Ball parody about the Blackstone Credit Default Swap Fraud where they took out credit default swaps on some debt a spanish gambling company had. Then said they would loan the spanish gambling company $100million bucks if they defaulted on their other loan. This allowed Blackstone to claim $15 million dollars on their insurance.
So anyone doubting Miley's Wrecking Ball is legitimately the #1 single in the country can rest knowing that it is actually the #1 song in the country legitimately. It is the go to song to parody at the moment.

felipe- it could get her into the top 100 acts list at some point. And, it's not another "featuring" credit- the label perhaps wanted to avoid another if possible.

Some nobable chart falls
Diana falls off the chart tieing the highest drop off from #11 (taylor swift's "mean" did the same) Midnight memories fell from #12 tied for 3rd highest drop off (lady Gaga's "hair" did the same")
Notable chart movements What now falls from 25 to 74 The fox climbs back to 60 and we will have to see it for 7 more weeks (most likely) Mirros is still on the chart (50 though) Best song ever (not really I can think of a lot of songs better) comes back at 43 There is no "playback of the week" You know the song that's gets featured in a viral video And charts in the top 50 Sail sits at 32 on It's 65th week Radioactive sits at 25 on its 66th week It hasn't been outside of the top 25 sense march Radioactive is 11 weeks from setting the record Sail is 12 weeks from setting the record I'm yours vs radioactive vs sail Who will win? Burn goes from 36 to 21 Bound 2 goes from 73 to 3 Say something climbs to 10 Story of my life climbs to 8 Timber climbs to 4 The monster is still 2 as we wonder if it will ever reach 1 Wrecking ball is back at 1 Longest break ever at 1 in a single chart run (9 week break) Only song longer is the twist on 2 chart runs in 1960 and 1962
Well we set/tied 2 records this week I think it was a weird week

Headband hangs around for another week in the bottom 50. Anyone know the most weeks a song has spent in the bottom 50 without cracking the top 50?

Once it stops gaining it will be gone. The number can't be too high since those things are usually capped (unless there are gains)

What caused "What Now" to have such a dramatic rise and fall the last few weeks? Was there a video released?
Also, how does "TKO" keep moving up? Sales are dead and airplay hasn't been that strong. Is streaming for the track really that high?

Is streaming for the track really that high? WN was boosted by the video release last week. Combining the drop-off of views/new streaming and the complete collapse at radio, this position is actually more accurate.

Ariana Grande's "Love is Everything" didn't debut on the Hot 100 or Bubbling Under.
The airplay and sales charts are now 50 positions, making all three components (airplay/sales/streaming) the same.

So happy to see Frozen scored a chart entry with "Let It Go." When is the last time a Disney film had the original version of a song chart?
Also, what is with "Best Song Ever"'s re-entry?

Both versions of "Let It Go" were neck and neck in sales (Menzel's version was 33 on Digital Songs, Lovato's was 34), so Lovato's must have fared notably better in streaming.
Has the original song from an animated Disney movie ever appeared on the Hot 100?

Has the original song from an animated Disney movie ever appeared on the Hot 100? And if those don't count, I know "Hakuna Matata" charted at #5 on the Bubbling under chart.
