Bruno Mars to Host Tryst Nightclub Alongside Jermaine Dupri on New Year's Eve - Vegas Seven It seems that Bruno Mars will be calling a new property home in 2015. The multiplatinum, Grammy Award-winning artist will help Wynn Resorts usher in the new year with a performance at Tryst alongside Jermaine Dupri. “Bruno is one of the most iconic artists of his generation; the energy he brings into every room he enters makes this a night that no one will want to miss,” Tryst and XS managing partner Jesse Waits says. “Alongside Zedd at XS, we are proud to be giving fans a huge night of entertainment, no matter what music genre they enjoy.”
Earlier this year Mars held a residency at the Cosmopolitan, and made NFL history with the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show (115.3 million viewers)—while also being the youngest artist ever to serve as the sole Super Bowl halftime headliner. Mars has sold more than 130 million singles worldwide, and was named Billboard’s 2013 Artist of the Year. According to Billboard, Mars scored his first five “Hot 100” No. 1s faster than any male artist since Elvis Presley.
Tickets for the Bruno/Jermaine Dupri fete at Tryst can be purchased at Tryst.WanTickets.com; for tables call 702-770-7300. Zedd tickets are available at XS.WanTickets.com; for tables call 702-770-0097. MORE INFO

Bruno attended the Kennedy Center Honors Gala Dinner in Washington, D.C. yesterday. He also performed there. The broadcast will be televised on CBS at 9 p.m. ET on Dec. 30th. Also... Unorthodox Jukebox has re-entered Billboard 200 @ #172.

"Young Girls" peaked in March. I don't see how that's a long time, especially with "Uptown Funk" out.

Uptown Funk is probably the best filler he could give us at the moment. By many, it's considered to be his best song yet. It's not treated as a featuring at all. Even the critics seem to warm up to him a bit (untill he openly says that they can shut up and go to hell, AGAIN )So it could be a nice introduction to his next era. Yesterday, it's been 2 years since Unorthodox Jukebox came out, so it's not that long ago. Besides it's not like he released the song with some random act. It's Mark Ronson his friend but also producer who similarly to Jeff Bhasher is on the right path to becoming Mars' signature producer in the following years. + LP3 spring release has been rumored for a while...

That's just so touching... brunomars: I was 6 years old when I performed on The @arseniohall show. Today my dad showed me he saved his backstage pass.
Arsenio Hall:... He was a CHARMING, talented kid! And today there is nothing more entertaining than @brunomars LIVE!

Bruno Mars Buys Big Studio City Estate:BUYER: Bruno Mars LOCATION: Studio City, Calif. PRICE: $6,500,000 SIZE: 9,033 square feet, 7 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms
YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Thanks to an entirely unexpected but certainly most welcomed Christmas Day communique from tireless real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak, Your Mama learned that wildly popular singer-songwriter-choreographer and budding voice actor Bruno Mars recently made an under-the-radar, $6.5 million acquisition — via an opaque corporate entity — of a private, multi-acre estate in a discreet gated enclave in the heavily celebrified Fryman Canyon area of Studio City, Calif.

So... that LP3 spring release rumor can turn out to be nothing more, but hooligans' wishfull thinking afterall... I hope that he's just lying or else, if he doesn't lock himself in the studio soon it won't be so certain that LP3 will get a release date in 2015...

Wow... Bruno went 2xPlaT w/ an album track from his debut album. Marry You always meant to be a single... it sold 2.2 Million copies in US w/o a proper performance on TV Even Billboard writes about it: www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/960816/the-biggest-hot-100-hits-to-peak-at-nos-100-76?page=0%2C3 No. 85 "Marry You," Bruno Mars (2011)
A rare song that Fox's Glee covered that wasn't a proven hit. In fact, the original wound up never even being a proper radio single. Still, Mars' version continues to receive pockets of airplay by programmers smitten by the song's infectious melody and romantic lyrics. To date, Mars' recording, from his debut full-length Doo-Wops & Hooligans, has sold 2.2 million downloads, according to Nielsen Music, an incredibly hefty total for an album cut.

They've been promoting this interview as where Brunz was going to announce the news the hooligans have been waiting for... I BET the statement that he's nowhere near ready with the LP or even worse that he didn't have a proper recording session for it yet is NOT what they've hoped for... Ellen trolled them like that... Mark in his recent interview revealed an interesting detail: There were a couple demos with some ideas that were kind of interesting, left over from his album that I thought we would finish, but when we went over to his studio, he was like, “Man, I want to do something else.” EWSo apparently Bruno didn't throw away all his demos from the UJ sessions as he claimed in his BB interview, afterall. :kii:

Rumor has it, they've been hanging out a lot lately... Diplo was also spotted w/ M. Ronson, so it kinda adds up. I don't know WTH it means but both of them retweeted it.
It seems that the "Jukebox" core producers are finally already reuniting for another LP. Good.

Mark Ronson talks about LOOH & UF!, Bruno + Jeff Bhasker in his recent Rolling Stone ranking My Life in 10 Songs: LOCKED OUT OF HEAVEN: That was an idea that Bruno had for a while, in a slightly different version, but when we started to work on the record he's like, 'I got this jam, I'm sure this is the one.' We must have worked on it for seven or eight different arrangements – different kinds of chords, different kinds of tracks – and we knew we were going to get this right at some point. Then it just clicked.UPTOWN FUNK!: Any one of us individually – Bruno, myself, Jeff [Bhasker] – could've made a strong record, but I think there's something really lovely and magical that happens when the three of us are in a room together. I'm not saying that it's three times better, I'm just saying that it's like a whole new thing. You always hear people complaining that they weren't into their biggest hit. I feel pretty lucky that the song that is my biggest hit is something that I am as proud of, and that it's also something I did with a friend.+
