As promised, here's the news about "Lose Yourself." The hip-hop anthem tops the 6 million mark in digital sales this week.

It's plummeting on streaming, already peaked on radio (sooner than most of us expected) and sales (which is ironically usually the first one to go but in this case it's the last) will obviously start to fall soon...I give it 3 more weeks atop the Hot 100 (since it's still pretty far ahead of AOM on radio so it will take longer for AOM to catch up in airplay than it will be in sales, and it's already quite far ahead in streaming) There's no guarantee that AOM will catch up to "Happy" in either sales or airplay. It might or it might not. Keep in mind just how high "Happy"s sales were at their peak. And as far as airplay goes, I don't see AOM getting as high in airplay as Pharrell's song has. Which isn't to say that I think "Happy" will stay on top for a lot more weeks either; maybe 8 or 9 overall, possibly 10, but it definitely won't tie or beat "Blurred Lines" 12 weeks last year. Yeah, I'm really sad because it's pretty obvious now that Happy won't beat BL's AI record even though many of us were truly counting on it...and now that streaming is in the equation it won't be a One More Night-Gangnam Style issue where GS didn't reach the top due to poor airplay and since All of Me is (and this is probably permanent, unless a viral video for Happy is released which I think would be nice) way ahead of Happy in streaming, and I'm pretty sure it will get a #1 peak in sales as well as Happy is burning out in that aspect as well, then even if in the end it doesn't catch up to Happy in radio I think it will still get ahead in overall points in a few weeks time...think back to almost a year ago when Can't Hold Us failed to surpass Mirrors (despite doing better on the pop format, due to Mirrors's multi-format success outside of just Pop and Rhythmic) on radio but Can't Hold Us was the one that came out on top and was #1 for 5 weeks while Mirrors only peaked at #2 behind it (I know Mirrors ended up outlasting it on the Hot 100 in the end, but that's a separate case)

Most weeks in the top 10 for this decade:
Party Rock Anthem 29 Somebody That I Used To Know 24 Call Me Maybe 23 We Found Love 23 Royals 23 Just The Way You Are 22 We Are Young 22 Counting Stars 22
RANDOM QUESTION: Is Lose Yourself the 28th song to reach 6M? Or did I forget something?

Soko's "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow" drops out of the top 10 after debuting last week at #9. You may recall that, despite that lofty Hot 100 bow, its digital sales were meager last week (Digital sales rank: #157, 10K). Amazingly, they dropped this week (Digital sales rank: below the top 200, 3K). Wow. I thought its top 10 Billboard placement would lead to greater awareness for the song. Seems it didn't.

Chart Watch: After “Frozen,” Here Comes “Summer”Songs from "Frozen" are moving back up the Hot 100. In addition to Idina Menzel's "Let It Go," which leaps from #14 to #5 this week, Demi Lovato's version of the same song rebounds from #71 to #52 in its 17th week, "Do You Want To Build A Snowman?" by Kristen Bell, Agatha Lee, Monn & Katie Lopez rebounds from #79 to #62 in its 13th week and "For The First Time In Forever" by Kristen Bell & Idina Menzel rebounds from #85 to #65 in its 13th week. These three songs have climbed as high as #38, #55 and #57, respectively. The "Frozen" soundtrack tops The Billboard 200 for the seventh week this week and is assured of an eighth week on top next week. But the weather is bound to change. Calvin Harris' "Summer" is this week's top new entry at #69. It's the lead single from his upcoming fourth studio album. This is the second song titled "Summer" to crack the Hot 100. War took a song by that title to #7 in September 1976. War's song was released on the first day of summer (June 21), and was the second highest new entry on the chart dated July 10. Harris is trying to get a jump on the other likely summer-themed songs by releasing early in the spring. This week's big chart news is "Let It Go" leaping into the top five, where it joins another movie-derived smash, Pharrell Williams' "Happy." I covered this, and the rest of the top 10 action, in a Chart Watch blog that we posted Wednesday. If you missed it, here's a link. This blog is a look at key movers and debuts below the top 10. "Show Me" by Kid Ink featuring Chris Brown jumps from #15 to #13 in its 20th week … "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake & Lil Jon jumps from #21 to #15 in its 13th week. Digital sales rank: #9 (89K) … The Chainsmokers' "#Selfie" jumps from #18 to #16 in its fourth week. Digital sales rank: #7 (101K) … Avicii's "Hey Brother" jumps from #22 to #19 in its 16th week. The song tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week. It's Avicii's second million-seller. "Wake Me Up!" is up to 4,060,000 … Martin Garrix's "Animals" jumps from #26 to #23 in its 27th week. "This Is How We Roll" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan jumps from #29 to #26 in its seventh week. The song is already in the top 10 on Hot Digital Songs, where it jumps to #10 (78K). In addition, it holds at #1 on Hot Country Songs for the second week. In the 70-year history of that chart, this is only the second collaboration between a duo and a solo artist to reach #1. The first, in June 1998, was "If You See Him/If You See Her" by Reba McEntire & Brooks & Dunn. (In one other case, a duo collaborated with a group and landed a #1 hit. That was in December 1986, when "Too Much Is Not Enough" by the Bellamy Brothers with the Forester Sisters hit #1.) Bryan has a second hit that is climbing this week's Hot 100. "Play It Again" leaps from #81 to #53 in its second week. It's vying to become the fourth top 40 hit from his former #1 album, "Crash My Party." Justin Timberlake's "Not A Bad Thing" leaps from #42 to #27 in its fourth week. It's the second top 30 hit (following "Take Back The Night") from "The 20/20 Experience (2 Of 2)." The first volume also spawned two top 30 hits. Of course, those hits, "Suit & Tie" (featuring Jay Z) and "Mirrors," were both monsters … Trey Songz's "Na Na" jumps from #35 to #30 in its ninth week … "La La La" by Naughty Boy featuring Sam Smith leaps from #60 to #39 in its fifth week. The song reached #1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart in June … Paramore's "Ain't It Fun" jumps from #63 to #46 in its fourth week. "Who Do You Love?" by YG featuring Drake jumps from #78 to #54 in its second week. YG's "My Krazy Life" album enters The Billboard 200 at #2 this week … "19 You + Me" by Dan+ Shay jumps from #69 to #57 in its 12th week … "I Luh Ya Papi" by Jennifer Lopez featuring French Montana leaps from #98 to #77 in its second week … "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX jumps from #96 to #83 in its third week … Tim McGraw's "Lookin' For That Girl" is the week's second highest new entry at #96. It's from McGraw's upcoming 13th studio album. How big is McGraw? Eleven of his 12 previous studio albums have made the top five on The Billboard 200. Ten have reached #1 or #2. Ellie Goulding's "Beating Heart" debuts at #98. It's from the "Divergent" soundtrack, which jumps from #29 to #21 in its second week on The Billboard 200. The movie was #1 at the box-office over the weekend. Finally: Remember how Soko's "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow" blasted onto the Hot 100 last week at #9? The song had little in the way of sales or airplay, but it was the background music to a phenomenally popular YouTube video, "First Kiss," which shows 10 pairs of strangers kissing. Well, the song dropped completely off the chart this week. And so a fleeting YouTube sensation now officially has landed a top 10 hit on Billboard's flagship Hot 100 chart. Did this song merit its high chart placement? Should Billboard wait to see if something has legs before it jumps on it? Discuss among yourselves.

Is this the first song to debut in the top 10 and then disappear? The closest I think of is the Jonas Brothers' "A Little Bit Longer" dropping from #11, and I believe a T-Swift promo single did the same.

Billboard can't pick and choose which songs to let chart based on viral popularity- so, that wouldn't work.

Soko's song now holds the record from the biggest drop off (9-X). No other song has dropped off after charting within the top 10 the previous week.

Digital sales rank: #7 (101K) YES! Thank God TDFW is higher than #selfie that means TDFW should be #1 on the Dance/Electronic Songs Chart instead of #selfie (at least for this week)!

I don't see how Happy won't be #1 for 12 weeks unless there is something from a superstar coming down the pipeline. It's selling 370k still...

While we're on the topic Biggest drops off the Hot 100 From #9 – SoKo — "We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow" (March 29, 2014) From #11 – Taylor Swift — "Mean" (November 13, 2010), One Direction – "Diana" (December 14, 2013) From #12 – Lady Gaga — "Hair" (June 4, 2011), One Direction – "Midnight Memories" (December 14, 2013) From #13 – Taylor Swift — "State of Grace" (November 10, 2012), Justin Bieber — "Heartbreaker" (November 2, 2013) From #16 – Glee Cast — "Toxic" (October 23, 2010) From #17 – The Moody Blues — "Nights in White Satin" (December 2, 1972); Wings — "Junior's Farm" (January 25, 1975) From #18 – Tommy James and the Shondells — "Crimson and Clover" (April 5, 1969); Christina Aguilera — "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" (January 15, 2000), Kanye West featuring Cam'ron and Consequence — "Gone" (October 26, 2013) From #20 – The Mamas and the Papas — "Dedicated to the One I Love" (May 6, 1967); Dia Frampton — "Inventing Shadows" (July 23, 2011) Wow! Taylor Swift is the queen of songs debuting high and dropping off the chart but to be fair she has more album tracks debuting than anyone else.
