I can picture NABT becoming #1, look at those nice radio gains! It got to top 20 so soon! I can definitely see it having the same radio success as Mirrors (and hopefully a bit more success in sales and streaming so it can replace Happy (or possible All of Me) in a few weeks...and I really hope it does...Headlights is a possibility too!

But when the ones that preceded it were kinda crap, the fact that it's at least bearable doesn't mean it's a #1 song lol. Will be solid hit for him but it's sales (while steady on iTunes is kind of just barely lingering in the top 15) Happys airplay #s and sales etc etc..are still way too massive for anything in the foreseeable future to topple it. I know many people love Rather Be and it's done amazing worldwide, and it's catchy, I'm still not feeling it at all. I like the 90s vibe but find it very bland. However, most don't so that or Birthday 'may' be the ones to do it. I have a feeling that why Katy and her team are holding back for now on pushing B-Day (to wait until the #s for Happy start to simmer down enough) where it will have a def. shot.

I think Katy's team also is waiting for DH to run its course. If it weren't for Happy, DH would be at the top - it still has amazing airplay numbers and I'm sure Roar has a decent amount of recurrent play. Why cut DH's run short? No need. I think the label's strategy is completely independent of Happy's performance. Plus if Capitol was only seeking chart positions, you can bet that a different type of "push" would've been given to UnC and they wouldn't have release DH to radio when they did.
