I'm curious as to the difference between "Fancy" and the Top 3. Granted "Fancy" will make it up in no time, but just how much is left to go? The gap between Nos. 3 and 4 is around 25%-30%

Problem would have debuted at #1 had they released the lyric video on Monday. Fancy is going #1 next week. Poor Ariana, if she gets blocked by Fancy then :rip:

Problem would have been number one if Bill Gates (or anyone for that matter) decided to spend $129 to give it 100 extra sales or if it got about 5000 extra streams (if, say, a couple more people uploaded the song on YouTube)...John Legend may just be the luckiest person alive to have squeezed into that number one spot this week.

Is this the tightest race for the top 3 since Bad Romance, Tik Tok, and Empire State of Mind were #3, #2, and #1 respectively (other than the Rihanna/Flo/Adele top 3)?
Side note: If I recall correctly, if Bad Romance sold 1000 more downloads, it would've topped the chart? So was the week it was #3 when it was actually the closest to the top spot?

Oh man, imagine if Problem sold a couple hundred more downloads and debuted at #1, and All of Me was stuck at #2 again. I can feel the heartbreak that would occur. Happy that All of Me got that chance to sneak in #1, when Bad Romance didn't :(

So the only other question that remains is: Did Radioactive fall off?
I'm going to assume it did, with so much movement at the top, pushing everything else down. But you never know.

I wouldn't be pressed about Problem. The fact that sales didn't cave after the first week; radio is adding it (without any deals) - it'll get it soon - but I want Fancy first.

With the way Fancy is accelerating it may hit #1 next week or the week after.

Chart Watch: Michael Jackson's Back in Top 20
Michael Jackson returns to the top 20 on the Hot 100 for the first time since his death as "Love Never Felt So Good," a collabo with Justin Timberlake, debuts at #20. This marks Jackson's first appearance in the top 20 since "Butterflies" reached its #14 peak in January 2002.
"Love Never Felt So Good" is MJ's second posthumous Hot 100 hit. "Hold My Hand" (with Akon) reached #39 in January 2011. The catchy pop tune is the week's second highest of 11 new entries on the Hot 100. It's from the upcoming "Xscape," Jackson's second album of posthumous tracks, which is due May 13.
Timberlake is Jackson's fifth duet partner to rate equal billing. He follows Diana Ross ("Ease On Down The Road"), Paul McCartney ("The Girl Is Mine" and "Say Say Say"), Stevie Wonder ("Get It") and Janet Jackson ("Scream").
Jackson co-wrote "Love Never Felt So Good" with Paul Anka. The two stars also co-wrote "This Is It," which became the title track of Jackson's posthumous album and movie in 2009. (The song "bubbled under" the Hot 100, peaking at #118.)
Anka and Jackson have quite a bit in common. Both were young when they first charted. Anka was not quite 16 in July 1957 when he first hit the chart. Jackson was just 11 in November 1969 when he first charted with the Jackson 5. And of course, Anka hit #1 with a song titled "Diana." Jackson hit #1 with a song titled "Dirty Diana."
Paramore's "Ain't It Fun" jumps from #14 to #13 in its 10th week … Rixton's "Me And My Broken Heart" leaps from #29 to #14 in its sixth week. Digital sales rank: #7 (111K) … Ed Sheeran's "Sing" jumps from #16 to #15 in its fourth week. The song has already climbed as high as #14. Digital sales rank: #10 (86K) … Luke Bryan's "Play It Again" drops from #15 to #17 in its eighth week. The song peaked at #14. It holds at #1 on Top Country Songs for the fourth week.
Calvin Harris lands his fifth top 20 hit as "Summer" leaps from #26 to #18 in its seventh week. The song debuts at #1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart. It's Harris's sixth #1 in that country; his fourth as a lead artist.
Coldplay's "A Sky Full Of Stars" debuts at #24—matching the peak position of the album's first single, "Magic." This is the third Hot 100 hit from the band's sixth studio album, "Ghost Stories," which is due May 19. Digital sales rank: #5 (139K). "Magic" rebounds from #59 to #56 in its ninth week … Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" leaps from #54 to #26 in its third week … Katy Perry's "Birthday" jumps from #37 to #29 in its fourth week … "Wild Wild Love" by Pitbull featuring G.R.L. jumps from #35 to #30 in its 10th week.
MAGIC!'s "Rude" leaps from #97 to #62 in its second week … "Wiggle" by Jason Derulo featuring Snoop Dogg debuts at #68. It's from "Talk Dirty." This is vying to become Derulo's fifth top 10 hit … Lee Brice's "I Don't Dance" jumps from #80 to #72 in its third week … Christina Grimmie's "Hold On, We're Going Home" debuts at #74. The original by Drake featuring Majid Jordan reached #4 last year. Grimmie is a contestant on "The Voice" … Chris Young's "Who I Am With You" jumps from #94 to #80 in its second week.
"Bailando" by Enrique Iglesias featuring Gente de Zona and Descemer Bueno debuts at #81. It's the third Hot 100 hit from his album, "Sex And Love." The title of the new song, which is Spanish for "Dancing," is similar to that of Iglesias's 1999 breakthrough hit "Bailamos," which translates as "We Dance" … Brantley Gilbert's "My Baby's Guns N' Roses" debuts at #87. It's the second Hot 100 single from his third studio album, "Just As I Am," which is due May 19 … Iggy Azalea's "Work" debuts at #88. Azalea has two singles in the top five this week. Ariana Grande's "Problem," on which she is featured, debuts at #3. Her own "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX) jumps from #7 to #4.
"My Eyes" by Blake Shelton featuring Gwen Sebastian debuts at #97. It's vying to become the fifth top 40 hit from "Based On A True Story…" … Craig Campbell's "Keep Them Kisses Comin'" debuts at #99. It's the second Hot 100 hit from his sophomore album, "Never Regret"… Katy Tiz's version of "The Big Bang" debuts at #100. The original version by Rockmafia reached #98 in 2010.
Miranda Lambert's 2008 hit "Gunpowder & Lead" tops the 2 million mark in digital sales this week. It's her second solo hit to reach this level. Her 2010 smash "The House That Built Me" topped 2M three weeks ago. Taylor Swift has seven country songs at or above 2 million. That's more than any other country artist, male or female. Carrie Underwood is second among country female artists with four.
Brantley Gilbert's 2011 hit "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" tops the 1M mark in digital sales this week.

"Birthday" tying "Thinking of You's" peak and "Work" debuting are my favorite things.
Grien writes: "Taylor Swift has seven country songs at or above 2 million." First time I've seen him make this distinction.

Didn't Pharrell do it last year? Or does it not count because he was featured on both songs?

Luckiest person alive, for squeezing in a week at No. 1 on the Hot 100, markg? Surely there are other, more important, scenarios that would make one feel like the luckiest person alive. I like "All of Me," so glad it got to the top spot.

"Love Never Felt So Good," a collabo with Justin Timberlake, debuts at #20.
Wasn't BB's initial projection somewhere in lower half of chart? Nice placement for three days sales/youtube. The CC deal obviously didn't hurt. Let's see if this has legs - still doing well in sales this week and next week with release of album should keep it steady. A Top 10 for MJ would be awesome.
