Well if Happy decreases like that every day, it won't even be 10 days before it falls below 200M.

At this point there's no chance AOM won't be #1 next week on the Hot 100.

I'd like to see "All of Me" score a week at #1 before "Fancy" takes over.

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6077132/the-longest-leading-hot-100-no-1sPharrell Williams' 'Happy' becomes the 28th leader to reign for at least 10 weeks As reported yesterday, Pharrell Williams' "Happy" tallies a 10th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is just the 28th in the chart's 55-year history to hit double-digit weeks at No. 1, a feat that just 3 percent of the 1,034 all-time leaders have accomplished. And, thanks to "Happy" and his featured turn on Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," which reigned for 12 weeks last year, Williams joins the Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men and Mariah Carey as the only acts to have led the Hot 100 for at least 10 weeks with more than one song each. (Honorable mention to Beyonce, who ruled for 11 weeks with "Independent Women Part 1" in 2000-01 as part of Destiny's Child and for 10 weeks as a soloist in 2006-07 with "Irreplaceable.") In honor of Williams' latest achievement – "Happy" has already become the first song to top as many as six (currently produced) single-format airplay charts – here's an updated look at all the titles to top the Hot 100 for 10 weeks or more. I feel like Happy isn't as big as We Found Love even though it's Mediabase numbers are higher. Unless the numbers would be similar before they recalibrated them.

For any of my Canadian bretherin I'm going to compare songs to other new US one's just to see if there's a pattern with their success/failure
Best Day of My Life - static at #5 Rude! by Magic goes up to #6 Summer by Calvin Harris up to #8 Counting Stars remains in the top 10 in it's 47th week (1 week at #1) Turn Down For What - #17 Birthday soars to #19 (#37 in the US) Let it Go drops from #27 to 34 (peak of #18) Royals & Radioactive drop out, Demons becomes newest longest single at 51 weeks, followed by Let Her Go (49), Counting Stars (47) and Wake Me Up! (44)
I find it strange Let it Go found so much less success here when our countries border each other and almost everything about our culture is the same, I'm sure the same % of the population would have gone to see the movie.

Streaming is the main reason "Let It Go" peaked so high on the Hot 100. Canada does not have the streaming component included in their chart.

I imagine that would be the case with Canada too. It's not the most radio friendly track.

So all of me will be number next week? I wonder if fancy has a shot after that. For some reason i feel as though the streaming airplay and sales wont match up to make justin #1. Katy will just have to pull a stunt when airplay and streaming have peaked and do a discount and market the remix at the end of the video to get that peak. Still hoping for a #1 but unlikely thanks to that lame video.

Miley's two videos last year were two of the most controversial videos of all time, yet they each spent a double digit number of weeks at number one on Streaming Songs (blocking massive hits like Blurred Lines and Royals) so just because Katy's video is bad doesn't mean it's not going to get massive views! It's like a car accident...you know you it's bad but you can't help but look at it. Honestly Billboard should factor in the ratio of likes to dislikes into the streaming factor to make it more accurate...imagine the streaming factor was around before, then songs like Baby and Friday would have probably been #1 on the Hot 100...

redseagulls, as I'm sure you know, if you cross-examine the U.S. and Canadian charts since the '50s, they are very different. For example, it's taken decades - and the advent of digital sales - to even bring r&b into the mix in any reasonable way.
Not sure what the "Let It Go" variance is, but chart discrepancies between Canada & the US are nothing new.

Holy f**k, Talk Dirty has been #3/#4 for 12 straight weeks now! Anyway Possible peaks for upcoming/currently gaining songs: Not a Bad Thing - #6 Problem - #3 (will debut at #4 or #5 like The Way debuted at #10 but the when airplay and streaming picks up I feel like it will peak higher than during its debut sales week) Fancy - #1 Turn Down for What - #4 Birthday - #8 Sing - #5 Ain't it fun - #9 LaLaLa - #10 Summer - #14 Me and My Broken Heart - #11 I was bored

There actually is a car accident in the video. And as for streaming not being a part of the formula when "Baby" and "Friday" were on the charts...thank God for that.

Gangnam Style would've been #1 for at least as many weeks as Happy, that's for sure. That's kinda the problem with streaming too...even though very many people liked the song, many people came just to see the dance which is, in part, why GS garnered so many views. Having gotten 9 weeks at #1 without the streaming component, the first of which GS jumped to #11 on the Hot 100, One More Night may have ended up peaking at #2 for many weeks (as it did in Canada). Streaming would've changed a lot of things. I think GS deserved number one peak, but not for as many weeks as it would have had if streaming was a component (11 or 12 at least).

If Miley Cyrus wasn't naked I doubt there'd be half as many views in that video, it's a good marketing strategy I guess though.

Is Dark Horse going to surpass Firework as Katy's biggest hit in the US?
Loving Dark Horse's longevity, it's already spent 20 weeks in the top 20, and it's only at #3, and it's already spent 14 weeks in the top 3 and counting.
