The first time I heard MAMBH on the radio (about two months ago) if they hadn't said the name of the band I swear I would've thought it was Maroon 5. Not only does the lead singer sounds just like Adam Levine, the song sounds like M5's style (as someone mentioned)! Striking similarities! The first time I heard MAMBH, I thought it was by Train lol. Rixton is definitely a cross between them and Maroon 5 Lol I'd say it's about 80% Maroon 5 and 20% Train

But "Me and My Broken Heart" is so catchy, it deserves to happen, based on posts above they're a mix of Rob Thomas, Train and Maroon 5 lol that's a guarantee for success since these artists/bands had huge hits in the past.

What a year 1994! All classics! I still remember my first Casey's Top 40, which was in June or July of 94 and most of the songs in that Hot 100 Top 10 were on that countdown. Fond memories...

That 1989 chart is bananas! Guns N' Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Bette Midler, and Donny Osmond all on the same chart. And the latter two are the ones near the top! LOL. Where the hell did Donny Osmond come from that year? Buffalo Stance is flawless though.

1989 was when the record industry decided to give one last break to all the 70s icons that had been dissed in the 80s. Suddenly the Doobie Brothers, the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Donny Osmond, Bette Midler, Roy Orbison, Al Green & Alice Cooper had top 10 songs again.

And Memorial Day is 5/26 if I'm not mistaken, so is the first chart issue being counted toward it 5/24 or 5/31? And is the last one 8/30 or 9/6?

As slow as the charts are moving these days the exact week may not matter. The top 7 will probably remain the same until September...

Where the hell did Donny Osmond come from that year? It's a funny story, because his label knew radio wouldn't play him. They sent the song to radio stations without the artist listed to get feedback. People assumed it was George Michael or someone new emulating his sound. The song tested really well and turned into a big hit. That could never happen today.

So, will "Fancy" reach the top of the Hot 100 tomorrow? What about any new top ten entries?

So, will "Fancy" reach the top of the Hot 100 tomorrow? What about any new top ten entries? Fancy has a chance at being #1 tomorrow, seeing as how she has clearly posted a very large streaming figure this week. And I have a feeling Let It Go lost enough points to enable Sing to enter the top 10 this week (although I'm not sure about it and I don't see anything else vying for top ten so for all we know LIG might still be in the chart next week).

How is Let It go even #9 if it's like #40 on iTunes and is nowhere on radio lol It's only that low because of "The Voice". Even "Happy" is almost out of the top 20 because of that. It's streaming that is still keeping it so high.

I wonder if the record companies ask contestants to perform specific songs as to promote songs from their label, for example Levine, Usher, Shakira and Blake are all signed to big record companies so would the fray be under one of the same?

You can easily omit The Voice performances to get a more "accurate" picture- i.e. there are six in the top 20 currently, a dozen in the top 100.

They were chart has-beens by 1975 and no one cared about their new music. Excited about their funky new falsetto/dance direction they sent the song to radio with a generic white promo label and no indication of the artist. It caught on, sailed to number one, and ultimately set the stage for Saturday Night Fever.

I find it ironic that the 3rd place finisher has the TWO highest charting songs still. And the second place finisher is above the winner (3 songs in top 30 compared to 2 for winner). I can't believe people still fall for these shows.
