that must be a mistake since on Kworbs audience and the Country chart as well it is not even close to that gain. kworb.net/airadio/24 = JUSTIN MOORE Lettin' The Night Roll64.472 +0.263 11156

My opinion on the Happy Dark Horse. Not convinced the race for #1 is so close that if Happy falls below Dark Horse on the daily radio update while both are on the decline that it will cause Dark Horse to take the lead. Dark Horse may indeed be #1 for the year but it might also be #2 or lower. It is probably a Dark Horse candidate for winning but not a sure thing Happy had 10 weeks at #1 and just missed 12 weeks. Either way, it is still top 5, 5 weeks removed from #1. Not disappearing quite so quickly Unless Dark Horse has some Wake Me Up longevity, I don't see it overtaking Happy even if it's above Happy on radio. It's over 1 million copies behind in digital sales for year end, Happy had some really strong airplay. Dark Horse is having nice longevity right now, but I'm not sure if once it exits out the top 10/ top 20, will it bolt out of the chart or will it continue to be steady. The only way I can see it happening is that if Happy bolts out of the chart and starts dropping quick, while Dark Horse continues to have minimal losses and stay steady. I really think Dark Horse deserves it though, it's having some huge longevity, it'd be really nice if out of all of Katy's #1's, Dark Horse ended up being the king of her #1s.

I agree, I don't see Katy getting #1... Pharrell has the 3rd biggest radio song of all time! He was #1 for over 10 weeks (right? I have awful memory...) and he's way ahead in digital sales... CALM DOWN!!!!

CALM DOWN!!!! But DH is clearly showing much better longevity having been on since the first week of the chart tear while Happy only debuted 6 weeks later and so DH currently has more YTD points than Happy and they're almost at the same level right now so even though Happy had a bigger instantaneous blow-up than DH...

YTD points based on what is calculated here. However some of those weeks that Happy had might count the same as a couple Dark Horse weeks that would be hard to calculate here since not all the info is released on how the points are accumulated.
Happy isn't disappearing either still in the top 10, 5 weeks after leaving #1
I am convinced that unless something else comes up Dark Horse will be 2 or 3 but not #1 and if Happy happens to slip below Dark Horse on a radio update, I don't think it will matter much.

I guess it depends on how well Happy holds up in sales and streaming compared to Dark Horse in these coming months...and who knows, maybe Fancy could pull 11 or 12 weeks at #1 and end up being the #1 song of the year with the aid of some Steve Kardynal parody video like with Wrecking Ball half a year ago that will boost its streaming like crazy (so far it seems like it has a very good chance at being the #1 streaming song of the year having gotten 27.5 million streams in two weeks and still growing in streaming)!

Why are we talking about the end of the year on June 6? Yes, I know we have been talking about it since February but still....lots of time left I think you have to go all the way back to 1997 to find a #1 of the year that peaked after May - (Candle in the Wind). So barring some bizarrely high selling viral sensation, I think it's safe to say it's between DH and Happy.

Party Rock Anthem peaked in July and it was pretty damn close to being year-end #1 (aided by 29 weeks in the top 10, almost all of which were in the year of which it was #2 year-end)...so I guess you never know...Fancy COULD be the #1 song of the year. It's unlikely but it is possible...

PRA would have easily snagged #1 had it appeared on the chart earlier in 2011.
Fancy has no chance to get #1 (I don't even think it will reach the top 5) unless it starts to sell Happy-like numbers or receive Harlem Shake streaming.

Only Psy and Beibs and soko? can come even close to that. #Hangover is coming, sigh (I mean Psy).

Even if Dark Horse is not the year-end Hot 100 song of the year, I think it will snag some other notables, like Pop song of the year and most definitely Streaming song of the year.

No I think Fancy might be streaming songs #1 because it seems like it will get quite a few weeks above 10 million streams.

I like 7 songs from that whole top 20 and only one of the ones in the top 5. The one from Paramore.

Top 40 radio is tone deaf. Alt/Rock stations are picking up the song just right and it just broke the top 40 Alt/Rock charts too. To be honest "Tennis Court" sounds right at home on alt/rock radio stations.

Fancy has a lot of catching up to do.

I like Lorde's "Tennis Court" but when the song finished the other day while driving. My friend and her 19 year old son looked at me and said WTF were we just listening too? They were laughing about the use of the word "Tennis Court". Maybe other's feel the same and that's why this isn't taking off on CHR like her previous two singles???
