I wonder if Maps will reach #21 or higher and beat Payphone?

^ it looks like it may very well do so. It also seems as though it has a good chance of debuting in the top 10 on next week's Hot 100. That would be cool if they got a second top ten debut. Ariana Grande is the only other artist I can think of on the spot with at least two top ten debuts.

Note: unless specifically stated, all of this is referring to airplay.
1. Maps is looking like it could matchPayphone's performance 2. Problem will reach #1 on airplay in about a week, and problem will will be overtaken by Rude before it overtakes Fancy on the hot 100. 3. Am I Wrong is smashing. 4. Rude is a future #1 hit for sure. 5. Summer will get blocked off of the top 5. 6. Sam Smith is smashing with 2 songs at the same time. 7. Counting Stars still hasn't died, neither has Pompeii. 8. Dark Horse to overtake Happy and reenter the top 10 in a day or 2. 9. Boom Clap's got alot of climbing to do. 10. Love Runs Out will become a future sleeper hit. (Kinda like how Counting Stars was.) 11. MJ never got to double of his day 1 debut on airplay, that's kind of sad. 12. I'm suprised Classic hasn't blown up yet.

Counting Stars hits one year this week at #27 and Wake Me Up at #36 with 1 week off, I can't believe the longevity at songs nowadays.
Stay With Me jumps from #6 to #1 on the Canadian Hot 100 leaving Fancy with a mere 1 week at #1.

Interesting that besides JT, the top 10 are pretty much all newbies. Mainly people that haven't had much radio support in the past.
Rude and Am I Wrong will be the over played songs this summer.

Stay With Me jumps from #6 to #1 on the Canadian Hot 100 leaving Fancy with a mere 1 week at #1. And Demons at #45 with 60 weeks. Can't believe Imagine Dragons were able to pull almost 200 weeks on the chart with just 3 songs. That's more than some artists can do with 10 songs. and Wake Me Up, Pompeii, and most likely Dark Horse and All of Me will pass one year on the chart. I swear we'll have had like 10 songs pass it this year. That's kinda f**ked. amd i I feel like I'm the only one that dislikes Stay With Me and wants it to fall.

"Maps" seems like it's going to be a hit but I don't think on the level of "One More Night", "Payphone", "Moves Like Jagger", these were simply huge.

I'm loving the longevity of Dark Horse, I'm amazed how it peaked big but didn't fall big too.
Dark Horse has 25 weeks in the top 11. E.T (Katy Perry's biggest hit according to Billboard) just had 25 weeks in the top 30. That's more weeks than the entire chart run of some of her other #1 singles like Last Friday Night, Part of Me, and I Kissed a Girl.
Chart-run wise, this is definitely Katy's biggest hit yet, I'm loving the longevity but statistics wise, not sure if it passes Firework yet. What do you guys think?

Even if the airplay power of Dark Horse was massive. DH has massive streams still to this very day....and HUGE onDemand Streams. Did Firework hit 200million in airplay? The bottom line is the only thing to normalize the sales, airplay and general chart change differences vs the time period is the actual chart position. Songs sell about 10-20% less now than when Firework came out. So relatively speaking DH is where Firework is at in terms of sales and it hasn't been out for several years.
