Blackout has stood the test of time for so many reasons — a near perfect album. But to look back on that album, and the messaging of it, with now knowing what all was to come in Britney’s life …. It makes it even more powerful to listen to.

I was driving home from somewhere at night with the radio on and suddenly there was a pause and then "It's Britney Bitch" and I was floored! No idea what was about to come but it was so iconic

I’m not like everyone else. The first time I heard GM I was horrified, not because I didn’t like the song, but because the media were already having their field day with her. Then here she comes with this dark, slinky, grungy club anthem and I was like “oh god they’re drag her through mud some more” Then all the other mess happened after. Wasn’t good memories for me.
I’m glad to know today that it really was just the media being the media and that Britney actually likes the album and had a lot of input.

And happy 17th anniversary of The Bible of Pop™.

The Bible that none of these main pop girlies are reading. Granted, Britney is such a singular force of nature so it can never be fully replicated but pop music could be far more interesting right now if they were at least trying to think forward with their sound.

On top of being the greatest pop album of all time, it’s also a great album to have on during Spooky season. Fitting that it was released during the October month.

Honestly Blackout is great but may I say that In The Zone deserves the same love? It was a great album and it could have gone 6 singles deep if handled properly.

“Break The Ice” is just *chefs kiss*. The production on the bridge/outro is euphoric. Danja was in his fuckin bag.

In The Zone and Blackout are absolutely her two essential albums. Glory might take third place, but it’s not competing for top two. ITZ and BO are so different that it’s wild to even compare them. They interchange #1 and #2 for me though. In The Zone is more about the individual tracks. Blackout is more of a full experience. Pop music doesn’t get better than these two records.

Their entire set was cackle worthy and laughable but this rendition of Britney was the final moment when I fell out
Get yo ass of the stage and out of those ten sizes too small outfits

I always thought that ooh ooh baby would be a great single and music video. The video could revolve around her being a witch and brewing potions.

Gimme More has been out-streaming BOMT for a couple of days now. It's so iconic how her top 5 most streamed songs are all solo and from 5 different albums/eras

I’m gonna cackle at who’s above her. The only people IMO worthy would be Madonna, Michael, and Janet.

I adore her. Probably more than the others above her on the list. But she’s about 10 years now into not extending her legacy. Work bitch was the last thing (the Elton duet was cute at best but not exactly pop star ground shaking) and I don’t blame her at all for the gap clearly she has much bigger stuff going on. But there’s a good chance she’s Largely don’t commercially besides her past work. While others above her are likely active with way more on the horizon.
