From what I'm reading about the Jamie Lynn podcast, it doesn't actually seem that bad? I mean I haven't watched it (don't have spotify lol) but from the summations and articles it seems like she got some much needed PR training on the subject. The knife story was apparently "taken out of context" but if you can't even bother to include said context in your book then why bother sending it to print? Either way, it's much kinder to Britney than she's been as of late. 

Part of me wants to give this girl some grace because, yeah, I don't think she is actually lying about the trauma she went through because Britney herself has corroborated it—and honestly, coming from someone with asshole parents, who wouldn't be an asshole child being stuck around parents like hers?—but the other part of me is like, ok, you're out here doing podcasts to basically promote your book that talks about your sister at length while she's publicly eviscerating you after lying about her sending you gifts prior to her being freed; obviously you're going to recontextualize everything as if this is also in her best interest too so you don't look like an asshole. She's also not being entirely truthful about the trust going to Britney's boys. The docs showed JL would recieve it in its entirety upon Britney's death to be distributed to Britney's children at her discretion, which is an absurd amount of privilege for a grantor.

Speaking strictly business, I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea to release it so soon after the conservatorship hearing and before Britney and JL had a chance to talk or reconcile. Someone Lou Taylor made a gamble that this was going to sell more on the Britney hysteria alone, but I'm not sure that's paying off.

TBH, I think Jamie (and Lou if she's in cahoots with her, which seems likely) all along was trying to push Britney to respond to all of her nonsense and then be able to say that Britney is 'unhinged' and 'spiralling.' Very calculated to me.

If anything, it appeared as if JL tried to backtrack a million times in the first part and couldn't keep her story straight. Not to mention, new Rosengart docs have appeared to confirm that she (and her gross husband) did benefit greatly in many ways from Britney's $$$

Good luck with that. The Spears family can’t actually use her for money anymore but in name only, and Britney had her ball gag ripped off. I hate that a part of me finds this so amusing because at the end of the day it is pretty sad. These people deserve it, but not if it’s coming at her own expense.

What burns me the most is that I think she really does need help unpacking… I mean idk, her whole f**king life from the sound of it, but the conservatorship burned her on therapy and doctors that she probably does need. And I can’t even blame her, but it’s a lose-lose. I don’t even say that as an indictment of her, I just genuinely worry about her because she deserves better.

Yeah, what we're not gonna do is go back into the "Britney is unwell", "Britney is crazy", "Britney is unhinged", etc. stuff. That is so degrading. It's one thing to say she could probably use a real therapist to help her get through a lot of the issues and trauma of the last 13 years, but just because she is finally letting this all out does not make her "unwell." The stigma surrounding her is just awful, she can't make a move without someone psycho-analyzing her without actually knowing.

Could you imagine having your voice stifled for 13 years and gone thru what she went thru? You'd probably want to tell a lot of people to "f**k off" too. She's allowed to let it out.

You may disagree with the way she's going about it but her expressing her frustration and anger does not make her "unwell."

I don’t think saying she’s unwell is saying the same thing as she’s crazy. In context that post seemed to be coming from a place of concern.

Calling her crazy or unhinged is disrespectful as fuck though, yeah, but nobody except the bitter Xtina stans are saying that.

JL has made it a point in all these interviews and the book to defend Jamie while at the same time sh*tting on Lynne.

I wouldn't be surprised if Britney was still a tiny bit open to reconciling with her mom but not JL or Jamie.

I feel like she wouldn’t be saying anything though if Jamie didn’t just drop a book trashing her. She’s never been able to control her own narrative. Not even before the C-Ship. She probably does want to stay quiet but then opens her phone and reads the latest headline.

There was another court hearing yesterday. Rosengart had submitted a new court filings that go into detail about Jamie's alleged wrongdoings. Despite Team Con being uncooperative, a lot was discovered, including the fact that Jamie made at least $6.3 million from the conservatorship and spent $30 million in legal fees. No, but like, this is something I would have never seen or come to a conclusion on on my own, but now that someone has pointed it out... Are we sure JL isn't just Ted Cruz in a wig?? I cannot unsee it. My brain cannot process this.
