All that being said, I am really pulling for Miranda to win Entertainer.

The funny thing is that SB video, which was clearly the most creative video and by far the best video of the nominees, did not win. While Miranda can win all the other categories. Do you hate Carrie that much. CMA

So Dierks has pretty much moved to "criminally under recognized" now.
So glad he got the video consolation prize.
Not.

Wow,very genuine reaction from Luke. May not love all his music but you can't argue his passion.

Ugh. Luke used to be one of my faves, but now... he's nothing more than generic country trash.

If Miranda couldn't win, Luke is a very good choice. He's had an incredible couple of years.

I can say whatever I want about his music, but this past year has been all about Luke Bryan and I can't deny that at all. He deserved the win and I don't have any issue with it. Congrats to him!

Overall a GREAT show! Winners were spread out nicely, and there were a few pleasant surprises. Performances were overall VERY good, too. And those hosts!!! I'm sure they'll be back for a number of years to come!

First thoughts -
Easily the best show in a very long time. They spread out the awards much better.
Best performance - The Band Perry
Dierks's big year is not gonna be memorable for its awards unfortunately. He deserved a trophy with an acceptance speech
Miranda while people are tired of her winning came off very genuine tonight.
Kacey Musgraves gave me bad vibes tonight...idk, can't explain it just wasn't impressed.
Start praying Maddie+ Tae follow up this number one with another hit so we can eliminate FGL's reason to be featured whatsoever at award shows. Nothing they do is award worthy. I am already praying for a M+T GIACS performance at the ACMs. Standing O I see it now.
More to come

This was the best CMAs in the last few years. They'll never be as good as they were many years ago in my eyes. But if this is as good as they could do, it's OK.

Kacey, or someone new, please start taking over FVOTY next year. This is getting beyond ridiculous.

Awesome show! I will post my thoughts on the show in more detail in a few days, once I recover from the pure excitement over Luke's win. Actually both Luke and Brett's wins. Carrie and Brad killed it too!

Miranda and Blake need to stop dominating... they're good, but not THAT good... What a snoozefest. Other than EOTY (which was somewhat expected, but at least a new face!) and Kacey Musgraves win for Song of Year, it was so completely predictable. These awards have become the equivalent of the Academy Awards and the Emmys: Boring and predictable. Where is the original thought these days? The same people win the same categories across award shows a majority of the time. If that is the case, why do we even have multiple award shows? Don't get me wrong, I like Miranda and Blake, but really?!? Again?!?

Kacey, or someone new, please start taking over FVOTY next year. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I think in year's past, Miranda should not have won it. I am not saying she didn't deserve it, but I think there were better nominees. With that said, this year, she really did deserve it. Her only competition was Carrie and Carrie had a very quiet year. I understand people's frustrations of her being the only winner, but this year it's hard to argue she wasn't the most deserving.

I don't think anyone else even came close to her this year. A case could have been made for other artists in years before, but this year, I don't think a case could have been made for anyone but Miranda.

Overall i thought it was a pretty good CMAs. I was rooting for either Brett Eldredge and Brandy Clark in the New Artist category so i got my wish :) And while i am not the biggest fan i don't begrudge Lukes win at all, to me he doesn't seem arrogant like some stars are. He totally deserved it. Would have LOVED to see Dierks get something but i'm not surprised at the outcomes :(
Also loved The Band Perrys performance as well as George Strait and Eric Churchs. The only thing i think i didn't like was that All About That Bass crap
And also i am not ashamed to admit thar the Vince Gil tribute brought me to tears

I understand people's frustrations of her being the only winner, but this year it's hard to argue she wasn't the most deserving. With "Something in the Water", possibly "Little Toy Guns", and any new music next year (which Carrie alluded to in a BBC interview), I truly think Carrie will win next year (if no one else does). I think Carrie is setting herself up nicely for a very rewarding 2015. You never know, and so much can happen in a year, but I have a hard time believing Miranda will win for a sixth consecutive time --- especially considering she'll be in between albums. I know it's a long shot to predict Carrie will win next year considering her track record with the CMAs the past six years, and there are a few women who could make a big enough splash to change things, but I don't think anyone within a year will be able to topple Carrie's momentum going into 2015. Carrie will likely have a quiet middle part of 2015, but I think SITW and its momentum will do wonders next year. ... Ehhh, it's probably all just wishful thinking, but I'd love to believe there's someone other than Miranda who can win Female Vocalist of the Year. I'm not holding my breath, though...

Looking over the predictions that the experts made, and this is what I found:
Entertainer: Saving Country Music, Popdust & USA Today were the only ones who were correct Male Vocalist: Roughstock, Taste Of Country & My Kind Of Country are the winners here Female Vocalist: almost a clean sweep except for The Boot Album: 1/2 of Daily Country & Popdust shine here Vocal Group: Roughstock, Saving Country Music & USA Today win here New Artist: Roughstock was the only one to predict Mr. Eldredge here Vocal Duo: Everybody was successful here to no one's surprise Single: Taste Of Country, My Kind Of Country and 1/2 of Country Weekly are victors here Song: 1/2 of Daily Country, SCM & The Boot got it right (most predicted "Automatic" for this one) Musical Event: Roughstock & USA Today got it right Music Video: Roughstock, TOC, MKOC & USA Today win here
Roughstock wins here with 7 out of 11 correct predictions.
