Thought of another one from when I was a youngster.
Gary Allan - "Man to Man" Actual: "You think all your anger is justified." Heard: "You think all your anger is just a fight."

When I was younger, I completely botched Travis Tritt's "Son of the New South."
Actual: "Son of the new South, step child of Uncle Sam Baptized in 100 proof and saved by the blood of the Lamb"
Heard: "Son of the new South, still tired of Uncle Sam Baptized in 100 proof and saved by the blood of the land"

FGL - Sippin' On Fire Heard: Why should we go round and round the flumes, like we've been doin' Every time we like or we're losin' Actual: Why should we go round and round the truth, like we've been doin' Every time we lie girl we're losin' Don't even ask me what I was thinking with the second part of the heard lyrics. That part was so incomprehensible for the longest time until I read the lyrics.

My ears are really corrupting my mind:
Little Big Town - "Bones"
Heard: "Every dog behind me is dead" (omg, I'm so sorry; my face becomes a mess when one of my dogs pass on) Actual: "Every dog will have it's day"
God forgive me please.

Omg I hear this same thing all the time so you're not the only one. I didn't even know what the actual lyric was for that part because I was too lazy to look it up, but I hear the same thing as you.

Zac Brown Band - "Castaway"
Heard: "Wasting away down by the coast, sipping Coke and chasing lime"
Actual: "Wasting away down by the coast, Pacifico and chasing lime"
I had no idea what he was actually saying until I looked it up. I can't be the only one haha. Never heard of Pacifico before. It's a beer from Mexico. Now that lyric makes a lot more sense haha.

Am I the only one who thought in "She's in Love With the Boy" Trisha was saying "Wasn't very long ago, that you yourself was just a hayseed plowboy, that didn't have a load of hope"?
Honestly, just found out today it was "...that didn't have a row to hoe."
I like mine better.

Heard: "I'm finally gettin' out back into the world, āLife is good, I married a girl"
Actual: "I'm finally gettin' out back into the world, āLife is good, I met me a girl"
This incredible song makes a lot more sense now haha

Travis Tritt, "She's Going Home with Me":
Actual: "She's made her choice, forget it, boys, she's going home with me"
Heard: "She's made her choice, [something in French], she's going home with me"
(On a side note -- I can't remember, did the radio edit of that song still start on the fade-in? If so, that must've been very polarizing since I can't think of any other single that fades in like that.)

Randy Travis mentions "resurrecting memories" in "Diggin' Up Bones." When I was a kid, I thought he was saying something about Resurrection Mary. Don't ask!

When I was young, I was unfamiliar with the term "zero to sixty". In Montgomery Gentry's "Speed", I thought they said "She rode a '60."

21 Savage really need to enunciate... Here's what the lyrics to his verse in rockstar actually are: I've been in the Hills ****in' superstars Feelin' like a popstar (21, 21, 21) Drankin' Henny, bad *****es jumpin' in the pool And they ain't got on no bra (bra) Hit her from the back, pullin' on her tracks And now she screamin' out, "No mas" (yeah, yeah, yeah) They like, "Savage, why you got a 12 car garage And you only got 6 cars?" (21) I ain't with the cakin', how you kiss that? (kiss that?) Your wifey say I'm lookin' like a whole snack (big snack) Green hundreds in my safe, I got old racks (old racks) L.A. *****es always askin', where the coke at? Livin' like a rockstar, smash out on a cop car Sweeter than a Pop-Tart, you know you are not hard I done made the hot chart, 'member I used to trap hard Livin' like a rockstar, I'm livin' like a rockstar And here's what I thought it was: I been in the hill ****ing superstars, feelinā like a pop star. Drinking him and bad ****es, jumpinā in the pool and I aināt got on no bra. Ghetto in front a bat, Pullinā on the trays and now sheās screaminā out no mars. Ay! Like Savage, why you got a twitter car carage and you only got six cars? I aināt with the cake and how your kids that. Your wifey sayinā I look like a hose nap. Green honeys in my safe I got oh rekt. I lay *****es and then ask them where the Coat at? Livinā like a rockstar, splash out on a cop car, Sweeter than a pop tart, You and I are not hard. I aināt made the App chart. Memo: Used to chop harp? Livinā like a rockstar (living Like a rockstaaaaar) Yep... So 21 Savage doesn't wear bras when he swims, he did not make that App chart, he's either got real honey in a safe, or actual people! Seriously, listen to it: His verse starts at 1:50 This is the country forum.

I can only hear "I was Jack (You were Diane)" as "I was Jack, you were dying..." That would have been a more interesting song for sure.

I was unfamiliar with the word "antebellum" as a kid, so when in "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" by Ray Stevens the narrator sings about how he went to visit his grandmother in the south and visit her antebellum world, I thought he said something like "Auntie Bellum Whirl."

When I was a kid, I always thought Dierks Bentley sang "she wants to make love on a train / some days she only wants a brain" in "Feel That Fire," (the real lyric being "she only wants a break"). Didn't make much sense then, for obvious reasons.
