I watched the Heart/Fergie "Barracuda" clip from AI Gives back last night and thought: "Why isn't this woman releasing music??!!" Fergie is completely underrated as a singer - BEP and songs like "London Bridge" and "My Humps" haven't helped her cause.

WOOT!
I can't wait to see which direction she's going with this. I'm afraid the R&B heavy sound of "The Dutchess" would feel a bit outdated these days (even though I would love it.) And praying will.i.am isn't involved!

So excited for this. I think will.i.am and her make magic together (about the only artist he's good at working with so generic). I'm down for her r&b/urban sound.

I watched the Heart/Fergie "Barracuda" clip from AI Gives back last night and thought: "Why isn't this woman releasing music??!!" "Here I Come" popped up on shuffle today and I jammed. I knew it was a sign. I must prepare... It's so weird that several people in here have said this. I myself randomly listened to The Dutchess last weekend, for the first time in years, and did a google search to see if there was any info on her new album. Perhaps Interscope has discovered some subconscious promotion technology?

I always musically preferred Gwen & Nelly F. > Fergie back when the three were lighting up the charts concurrently (though I love Fergie's personality and energy), but I'm still looking forward to this for nostalgia's sake.
It will be interesting to see Gwen & Fergie go head to head in such a totally different musical landscape. I'm curious to see if both have stayed in touch with the times or if both are stuck in the past. I feel like both singles could go either way; hoping they BOTH win!

"The Dutchess" album had so many great hits. I hope Fergie can come back big after 8 years for more success for her next solo album.

AllAccess is already listing it for an impact date on September 30, as previously mentioned by Kurt from Interscope's promo site PlayIGA.

Am I the only one who doesn't look forward to Fergie's new album? I just want Black Eyed Peas back.

Most likely produced by will.i.am although there's no official confirmation of that yet. He's exec producing her album though.

R&R and FMQB confirm the adds date as well, along with the lowercase "la la" (weird) in the title.

I am so excited she is coming back sooner than later! "The Dutchess" album had so many great hits. I hope Fergie can come back big after 8 years for more success for her next solo album. It sure did! I enjoyed most of the singles, particularly "London Bridge", "Fergalicious", "Glamorous", "Big Girls Don't Cry", and "Finally." I am still gutted that "All That I Got (The Make Up Song)" was never a single. I do wish "Finally" had performed better. She left things on a good note last time and there is still interest. Radio loves her. A couple of her singles from other projects in between didn't fare as well, but some of those were not as strong as her own solo material.

I don't see why people would hate it if will.i.am produced, the songs they made together were MAGIC!!! (ie Fergalicious)

UCH i was only being hesitantly excited but now that the date is popping up elsewhere I am convinced this is actually happening and DYING
COULD Fergie have been the A-Lister wanting to pull a Beyonce that Billboard was talking about?

She should find a nice mid tempo again like 'Big Girls Don't Cry'. Producer wise, she should try Stargate and Diplo.
