No Doubt - 7th album?

Gwen has confirmed they are working on a new album. So far they have been confirmed to be working with Pharrell, with one track being "Shine."

For the longest, I never knew Pharell/The Neptunes produced Hella Good. So much versatility.

I think the ND album will be out 1st quarter of 2016. I mean they just started working, and i'm assuming they have only one song finished, Shine. I think Gwen will focus in her solo album to cater some fuel to ND project.

They've actually been working on material right after the Push and Shove album in mid-2013. Pharrell has worked on several tracks with them amongst the ones Tony did and they had sessions booked with Diplo again.

AFI Singer, No Doubt Members to Form Supergroup

AFI singer Davey Havok and No Doubt's Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal and Adrian Young are forming a supergroup, as Billboard reports. The band doesn't have a name or a record label yet, but it has already completed an album.

AFI released their latest album, Burials, in October 2013. The group played their first show in four years a month before the album's release. More recently, the band performed at Austin City Limits Fest in 2014, where it made Rolling Stone's "10 Best Things We Saw at Austin City Limits Fest 2014." To celebrate its 25th year, AFI announced on Facebook that it will be releasing a limited edition shirt and lithograph each month in 2016, based on an AFI song the band will pick.

No Doubt toured throughout 2015, including performances at Chicago's Riot Fest, San Diego's Kaaboo Festival and the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day Concert. But the latter half of the year, singer Gwen Stefani has made more headlines with her solo work as well as her personal life.

In August, Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale divorced and her recent single "Used to Love You" seems influenced by that event. She told Beats 1's Zane Lowe that "I think I have enough [songs] for probably two albums."

Stefani's new album, This is What the Truth Feels Like, will be released March 18th, and the fate of No Doubt seems up in the air, as Young hinted to Billboard last April. "We're a little bit of limbo right now," he said. "So, we'll see where that takes us."

Sunday morning did make the top 40 on pop, albeit only briefly, but even including that, ten hits for a band as big as they were.

It is interesting to look at artists in hindsight who are major names, recognizable, lasting legacy, etc, but did so only on the back of minimal hits. Celine Dion is one I think of in that context where she only had like 15 or 16 hits within a decade, decades ago, yet everyone still knows who she is.

Heck, I'd be happy with another reunion tour even if they don't hit the studio. Gwen seems to have had writers block for a decade now, so I think a tour could spark her creativity more for a new album than just going into the studio.

Woah, their energy is off the charts in those performances! Even Gwen’s live vocals - which I typically try to avoid honestly - are on point! Especially with how much she’s moving around. I feel like she’s been taking vocal lessons or something. And Tony is giving me naughty thoughts for being over 50 lol. New album please!!

It's funny because the first thing I remember thinking was...I don't remember Gwen being a vocalist. Engaging, charismatic, energetic, sure and yeah, she could always sell a song, but she definitely has been taking lessons or something because she sounded so strong and pretty much pitch perfect.

100%. I actually never have seen her live in part because I worried it wouldn’t be enjoyable for me based on most of the recorded live vocals I’ve heard from her. But she’s always been a phenomenal performer, and I used to wish that she’d just Britney it forever ago and go to lipping. But if she can sing live like this now, nevermind!
